12/2025 - Jueves the 04th - MY JOURNEY

National Sock Day in 2025 is on Thursday, December 4th. It's an annual holiday to celebrate socks, with some celebrating by wearing new pairs, finding matched socks, or donating socks to those in need.

Date: December 4, 2025
Purpose: To celebrate socks and the joy of finding a matching pair, often through charitable actions like donating socks to shelters.
How to celebrate:
- Buy or wear a new, fun pair of socks.
- Find and celebrate your favorite matched pair.
- Donate socks to a local shelter, as socks are a high-demand item at many homeless shelters.
- Make or design your own socks.

Today's Name Day: Barbara, Barbro

Had a cousin named Barbara. A bit older than me. She passed away a few years ago. In Sweden there was a famous singer nicknamed Barbro. While visiting her museum she came in!!! I got to meet here & had our picture taken together. Cool.. She died a few years ago. Famous in Scandinavia & Europe but not in the US.

Had an OK day. No low blood sugars. They stayed a bit higher than usual but no problem. Not that high. Sleep was nice!!! Will keep doing a bit lower insulin.

Had a nice nap. Slept good. Hope things stay good so I can work friday & saturday.

My glucose sensors were supposed to arrive here today. After dark nothing here. But after supper I rechecked. Said they were by my front door. And they were! I am excited. No more sore fingers!!!

The world is igoring me. Why??? Only heard from JL. Nothing from MM in three days. Do I ignore him or not??? Nothing from CF. Ignoring. Even my usual good morning greeting was missing? Must be busy. Tired of being alone & left out.

My glucose sensor is almost ready to read. Take an hour for it to work, I always set my timer.

Sat outside to sort mail.. A bit chilly & no deer. But fresh air was nice. Warmer tomorrow.

11/2025 - Sábado the 08th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day: Vendela

Had a good day. Ate ok. Blood sugar was pretty good. On my sensor twice a day or so my sugar would suddenly drop to 69. Wrong. So I ate when I did not need to. Good to know.

Slept good overnight & had a short nap.

JR & I ate supper at Jalisco's. MA stayed home. So it was LS, MS, & HT. The restaurant filled up. The girls were running to take care of people. HT even took food out to tables also. And they all had time to be nice to me. MS even helped me stand to leave & pay. Nice friends.

Dessert was ice cream. Made me sooo cold!!! Warming up here at home now. It is 47F now outside.

On the way home I ran over a small skunk. I feel so guilty. Hope it did not suffer. I hate to hurt anything. My car has a slight smell to it. Might stay home tomorrow. Dang. Or go through the car wash before eating out

Talked to next to no one today. That is ok.

My soccer match I watched from London was fun. Both teams scored 2 goals. NBC has lots of soccer on. I need to take time to watch.

Found 2 old mice near my desk. One did not work at all on my laptop. But the newer little one is perfect. The one my repair guys sold me I do not like. Too large. Will get rid of the useless old one.

Cinder & Kisse have new sleeping places. I found Cinder's this morning. Those 2 keep me on my toes!!

Photos are a mix. I have new ones already for tomorrow. Good to stay ahead.

This was a faded picture I had. No idea where it came from. I ran it through an app twice to edit it. Now cool looking.

10/2025 - Viernes the 31st - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day: Edgar, Edit

I had a great uncle named Edgar. Great guy. Wish I could have bought their farm house. Loved it. Know several Ediths also.

Had a great day mostly. Slept good with good blood sugars. About time!!!

Work started ok, Then suddenly how I work the photos totally changed. Why??? It appears that there was a program upgrade without warning. I remember that the files I worked with were .tiff files. Now all there was were .tif files. AP tried to fix it but nothing worked. At supper JR told me that .tiff is an old fashioned term. Now the .tif files are all interchangable. IF we had known what a difference it would have made. Ended my work day on a good note.

Supper was at Jalisco's. I love the the girls who work there ---- MS & LS. I got big smiles from them. And great to see Miguel. When I was ready to leave, MS took my credit card & ran my bill. How nice of her. Saved me walking & standing & waiting. Nice of her.

Our next stop was the Barnyard Creamery. They close this weekend for the winter. All they had was chocolate soft serve. Very good. I will miss them.

Last stop was the grocery store. Cinder & I are out of lunch meat.

I had misplaced two different different tv dinners that I could not find. Found them last night. Duh!!!??? One was my lunch ---- meat loaf, mashed potatoes & gravy. Yummy.

The town was full of traffic & trick & treaters. I was relieved to get out of town.

MM worked tonight at the Sale BARn & his costume was a sheriff one. So he asked our real sheriff to make a walk through!! He is the best!! We are lucky too have him, TR.

I got home & nary a cat in sight. Pretty soon they both were near me. No idea where they had been. They have hiding places.

It is 47F out now. There was a rain cloud just north of me earlier today. Nothing here. 30+ is forecast for morning again. Hope I am not so chilly tonight.

Fotos are all Halloween. Some are still shots from a video. Maybe a few tomorrow. Maybe. Maybe not. For November I always try to post something I am thankful for every day. I try.
