Today's Name Day:  Agnes, Agneta

Had 2 aunts named Agnes.  Seems like I know the swedish name Agneta.  ABBA singer was Agnetha.  Close.

    Not a good day.  I have felt not normal all week.  And have cancelled all I can.  I had little sleep last night.  I tried but nothing.

    Today I ate lunch like normal.  Nothing different.  Then a couple hours later without warning I got severely sick.  I have one walking speed & it was not fast enough.  I then went to bed.  My cat babysitters stayed nearby.  I slept a couple of hours.

    Before getting ill I cancelled my hair stylist about my appointment scheduled for thursday.  Henry called right away & it is back on my calendar.  Good.

    Not bad weather for thursday but friday it gets really cold & snow starting in the afternoon.  Snow continues all day friday, saturday & in to sunday.  The high on Sunday is in the single digits.  Yikes!!!!  We are in the 6-8" area.  Thank goodness that no ice is in the forecast.  That is far south of here.  My good friend JS is in the ice area.  Lucky him!!!  😱  

    Not sure what to do about supper.  Soda & pudding might be it.

    My phone has been doing weird things.  I sent a text to JR  who never answered.  Then I called him twice with no answer.  I really got worried.  Said he never saw the text.  And his phone was not near him.  I feel guilty about not eating out tonight or buying groceries for the storm.  I think I am ok.  I hope.  Although MM said he would get me anything I need this weekend.  He is the best.

    MM is getting his driver's license back.  I told him that he needs to first drive me to Denver & from there on to Vegas.  I think his boss is not gonna be happy!!  Too bad!!!

08/2025 - Jueves the 21st - JOURNEY

I bought the post card.  It had the owner's name & the address.  So wanted to see if the house was still here.  It is.  Very cool.

Today's Name Day:  Jon, Jonna

I am friends now with a Johnita, a lady.  I was in high schooll with a Johhnie.  A girl..  Have know many Jon's or John's.

    Had a pretty good day!!  Slept good with a short nap.  Cinder slept with me in my nap.  Love her snuggles & purring.  😸

    Had an eye dr, appointment.  Not with the dr.  Just a test. Was not in the mood so I canceled.  No big deal.

    Met my friend RG for supper at the Crown & Rye.  They were really busy.  Good to see.  Even saw a few people I know.

    RG walked by Jalsico's on the way for supper.  No one in there.  The carpet is still there but all tables & chairs are gone.  Who knows where.  Storage unit?  Sold?  Hmmmm.  We will not plan on eating there next thursday.  Going somewhere else.  

    Weather is ok today.  High around 91 but low humidity.  Really cold autumn like weather headed our way.  My friend CW is as excited as I am.  My friends who live in California have super hot weather.  Las Vegas will be 109F tomorrow.  I could live with that.  Just never leave the casino.  No problem.  Been there in the heat.

    When I got home both cats came running to greet me.  Sweet.  Either glad to see me or into some thing they knew was a no no

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 227......

 A bit warmer today. And sunny off and on, But late afternoon it started to rain. What a blessing. Feels so good to be outside in the cool air with falling rain!

Must have slept some last night. The night seemed to be over quickly. The last dream I remember was I was getting married on January 15. There was a man there. Groom? By his clothes I would guess it was 1930s. Very cool!

Took Nico out around 6am and there crossing our driveway were my 3 deer. They stopped to stare and me. I stared back.

JR and I  had supper at Jalisco's. They were slow again. Probably the cold and rainy weather. A friend came to sit with JR and me. Good conversation. She is Swedish and an artist. She was setting up a show today. Have to go see her work.

Had someone on my FB group make a comment about how Covid 19 is a plant just like H1N1 was. Oh really? Idiots out there. I deleted it after someone reported it. And the anti maskers are coming out. Our governor is thinking of making masks mandatory in Kansas. Cases are climbing fast. We need to do something. Ireland and France are going in to lock down. 

Photos are a mix. There is a favorite one of Willie from our last trip to Vegas. There were 2 show girls on the sidewalk. I could take his photo with  them for a small fee. Love it! I miss Vegas. Guess I could go alone. The friends we used to go with probably still go but I would  never be included.  Photo of shoes that I got in Sweden. Love them.Also Barbara Bush's cookie recipe. Clicked on it by mistake but will leave it. I get hungry reading it!!
