 National Ice Cream Day

This was in FB from Indigo Moo'd where JR & I get our ice cream.  Have to go try this new flavor they have,

    I had another great day at the SVAFC, with lots of people, art, old friends, new friends, good food, & awesome weather.

    The last meals I ordered online were good.  One portion was 2 lemon blueberry muffins,  I had cone for lunch,  I will order those again.  Excellent!!  Moist & tasty!

    Kisse has been "missing"  for 2 days in the house.  Somehow the my old bedroom that is now just a storage room had the door opened up.  She tipped something over that shoved it open.  I usually am careful to make sure it is closed all the way.  But she got it open.  She would not come to me or show herself to me.  Dead silent.  Last night I saw her in that room so I put food & water in there.  After Cinder went out for the day this noon, I opened the door up.  And I told her I was leaving the door open.  While I was getting ready for work, she raced out to the kitty litter pans.  I left the door open & when I got home tonight, she met me in the living room.  I quickly shut the storage room door.  Tightly!!

    When I left for work there was a grasshopper on my car windshield.  I got his photo & shared it.

    A friend opened the SVAFC for me.  We were in school but she was younger,  Had several guests to come in to see this show.  All were friendly,  Very nice.  Two local artists came in.  One had a piece in the show, the other was there to look at the show & chat.  Fun.

    At 3pm, a small group of musicans came in to our back room & played or practiced.  I enjoyed them.  Then a large group of artists had a meeting in the gallery  planning something.

    JR & I had supper at China.  I tried something new. Shrimp & fried rice.  I got sweet & sour sauce to put on them.  Perfect.  I like the sweet & sour chicken but the portions are huge.  I brought half of this home.  Loved it.

    In China was a cousin & her husband,  Had a really nice visit with them.  Their son is an awesome artist besides a hard working farmer.

    Next a stop was for groceries.  I did not need very much.  But JR sure did!!  Then through the car wash.  It was overdo.  But the weatherman just said chance of rain tomorrow afternoon.  Good.  Hope it is my fault.

    Tonight it is nice to have my cats near me.  Life is as it should be.

    Last night my cousin in Colorado called me & today we texted some. I hope she is feeling better. She is one of me best friends. My friend in the hospital in KC is feeling better so we texted often,  I like that.  Yesterday he was silent.  He is really special in my life,  Hope his feeling better continues,  I would give just about anything if I could get there to see him.  If someone could drive me up to just see him & then back home.  But I fear there is one.

In the other half of the SVAFC is the local newspaper.  They have a Santa mail box.  Fun to watch kids walk by and peek in to see if Santa has left anything.  Unfortunately, those who deliver Amazon packages have not figured out it is only for SANTA and not for AMAZON so odd things are left there.  Soo funny.  😊😊😊.

Wandering, 03 march 2022

    Today has been mostly good but a tiny bit less than good.  Supper last night did not make my stomach feel good.  I have to careful what I eat.  Thought I was but I guess not.  And sometimes no matter what I eat I do not feel good.  I have a hernia and gall bladder problems.  So last night I just felt less than good.  And it made sleeping a challenge.  Today I watched what I ate and right now all is ok.    

    Nico is just a hoot.  He is used to sleeping under my blankets.  But the house was still warm so did not use my blanket.  He just could not figure out what to do.  He tried to crawl under me or under my pillow.  He finally just laid down.  But when I got chilly, he was relieved he had a blanket to crawl under.

    Last night I had a brainstorm about Kisse.  She was back in the house at 10pm.  I figured out how she was getting out.  Only one way.  From the dryer air vent.  It is pretty small but she could do it.  Or she tried and gets stuck and takes her all day to escape.  Anyway I blocked it so she cannot get in it.  So today she was home all day.  Good deal.  When she was in last week she looked and acted like teenager who got caught doing something forbidden!  What a scowly look.  She finally got normal again.

    Pretty nice day.  Our high was 67F.  Nico and I sat outside for a while.  We both got some fresh air.  KN was driving around looking for new calves.  Not many cattle where I could see them.  Sort of a lazy day.  Lots of birds flying and talking.  Fun to see and hear.

    As nice as today was there is cold weather coming again. Small chance of rain and snow.  Probably miniscule.  Had a little traffic going by our house.  Usually from the same family.

Wandering, 02 march 2022

    Well I have good news and bad news.  Kisse is back sort of.  Last night as Nico and I were going to bed around midnight, Kisse was in the hallway.  Suddenly.  Hmmm.  Today she was all loving on me this morning.  Then she disappeared again today.  She has found a way to get out.  Think I know where.  Not quite as stressed as I was yesterday.  See if she shows up tonight.  And she is no doubt pregnant by now.  Just what I need.

    No call yet from my furnace guy.  He thought it would be today.  And I cancelled most of the day.  Hopefully.  It is awful trying to guess if I should cancel things or not.  Wish he would just call some other furnace guy to see if he has the parts.  Felt ok in the house last night.  Still could not sleep.  Finally moved to the sofa.  Why that helps beats me.

    Great weather today.  I ^love^ summer weather in March when I have no AC.  The high today on my farm here was 88F.  ^Just delightful^.

    I was rather tired with little sleep last night until this morning.  A nap helped.

    Watched KN with a new calf and its mom.  The little one needs an ear tag so we know who belongs to who.  Mom was not pleased.  She paced around KN.  All was well in the end.  Always scares me to watch though.  And since my husband died after a cow shoved him down and he hit his head and then 2 weeks later he had a huge bleed in his brain.  A week later he was gone but never responded during that week.

    PM ate with us tonight.  He and I got to talking about cemeteries and small towns.  We agreed we love to drive on country roads and meander around.  Perfect word.  And we had visited some same ones and churches in small towns.  West of here are many German Catholic churches.  I love them.  The saddest are a few that are not used anymore.  But there is one tiny town that is not German.  It is French Canadian catholics.  Their church is gorgeous.  And I love the little town.  It is so unique.
