07/2025 - Domingo the 20th- JOURNEY

 

None for me today.

Today's Name Day:  Greta, Margareta

Grew up with a Margaret.  Good friends in school but never after graduation.  All my school friends never stay friends with me.  Knew a Greta.

    Not a good day for me healthwise.  I ended up cancelling the entire day.  I just never get used to my chronic diseases.

    I felt beyond tired eating lunch.  A nap was needed.  Slept well.  No idea where Cinder, but Kisse was in her new nest where she can see me.

    I now know who starts the chasing through the house.  Cinder was on my lap when Kisse walked by on the floor.  Cinder crouched down ready to attack.  She must have read my mind so she did not chase.

    I did carry all my trash bags out after my nap.  It was hard to breathe outside.  I filled one bin.  I carried boxes out to the bins.  Hope they stay put until tuesday.  I have them sort of braced in between a tree & bin.  There are 3 boxes far too heavy for me to move.  I did call for help with them.  Be nice to have my bench cleared off.  Then I can enjoy it again.

    Had a nice message from MM, an email from a friend in California, & my friend who checks on me almost daily.  She & her partner spent the day at the pool.  A pool would be nice but none for me.  And won't be seen public in a swimsuit.  😮

    Awful weather.  I saw 99F.  Tomorrow will be 103F & feels like 105F.  No relief in sight.  They say this dome of heat will still be here in the early part of August.  Keeps the heat, humidity, & bug lovers happy.  Yay for them.  😱

07/2025 - Lunes the 07th- JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Esaias, Jessika, Klas

First two names from sunday.  I know an Isaiah.  Known a Jessica or two.

    I did not blog yesterday.  I was far too tired.  MM got severely ill & I stayed awake in case he called,  Other than that I slept good,

    Yesterday I worked at SVAFC.  Sort of quiet.  I fell asleep once but MH came in & woke me!!!  Then visitors were  in often enough I stayed awake.  Then I forgot on sundays a group of string players come in to play together.  Beautiful music.  I enjoyed it.

    Supper was with friends at Pizza Hut..  Lots of laughing & warm feelings.  And I got a couple of suprise gifts!  Needed a fun time.

    Today was a day off.  Slept well & took a nice nap.  THEN.  I got up & gathered trash bags & took them outside.  Missed last week due to rain,  I need to take trash out as they are filled but that depends on how much pain I have.  Today it did not matter.  Trash had to go,  I did it all without backup.  No one to ask. Everyone is too busy, or they are too sick, or they could not care less about me if they tried.  I never have backup anymore.  I used to.  But no more.  Tis my life.

    MM is home but has not texted or called.  Hope today went good for him,  I still worry.  I saw he had visitors while in the hospital yesterday.  I am so grateful to them.  Special friends.

05/2025 Måndag the 26th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

Today's Name Day:  Vilhelmina, Vilma

Knew at least one Wilma.

    I got next to no sleep last night.  Tired today.  Have had rain.  Southern & western Kansas have gotten up to 4 inches or more of rain.  I got a measely half inch.  We always get left out around here.

    I have many bags of trash to take out but it rained most of the day.  I gave up to nap.  But woke up early & rain has stopped for now.  Carried the bags out.  Great!!!  Knocked my blood sugar down but had a snack.  Should be ok.

    Just read that in Liverpool England there was a parade for the Liverpool soccer team in the Premier League victory parade.  It was an open top bus victory parade.  A car ploughed in to the parade & crowd.  The car sped up before he hit the crowd.  How sad.  The driver was arrested.  I love soccer so extra sad for me.  Unknown if anyone was injured or not.  Too soon.

    Think the Memorial Day events took place today.  Good.

    Heard from CF.  Nice family time for him.  I cannot remember times with family.  Too many years.  No family time with Mom's family.  There are gatherings but we are never included.  And I cannot be included in Willie's family stuff.  Makes me sad.  There is one person who has caused a lot troublel on both sides.

    I am glad Willie's grave is not vandalized.  Same person does that too with a helper.

    Stayed really cool today.  In the 50s & sort of foggy with rain.  My favorite weather.  Wish it would happen more often & forget those awful 90s days.  Hot weather makes me feel sick.

    There is a fly irritating me while I key.  I have bug spray but he won't sit still long enough.

    I even have supper planned.  Mac & cheese.  Love it!!

This is a photo of an old old building that was in my family.  The Fair Store.  I need to find our more info about it.  Part of Trains Brothers in it.  Sold hardware & implements.  Does not exist any more.  Near where Mom grew up.

National Work Like A Dog Day

    I had a much better night & day.  Amazing.  Nice for a change.

    When I went to bed  I used a different pain cream.  I soaked almost my entire body in it.  And  I had little to no pain.  A little achey leg towards morning.  And I slept good for a change.  Gotta love RA.  HA!

    I had a lunch date with an artist friend from Iowa, RG.  He is here showing his art this month.  Wish we lived closer.  He is so easy to talk to.  And helped with all I dealt with Willie long before he died.  I am lucky enough to own a few of his pieces of art.  I bought one & he sent me one when Willie died.

    While eating at Jalisco's MM & KW came in with SM, my great grandson.  Kids were all enrolled in school today.  Cool!!  SM was so cute.  He had to give me a hug, Then he kept popping up over the back of our booth!  Sure love him!!  When they left another hug & love you!!  He sure makes my day!!

    Too hot today.  It was 100F in my car going to town,  On the way home it was 102F & in late afternoon also.  Too hot.  Cooler tomorrow &  rain wednesday & thursday.  Or so they say.  Even forecasting for where I live.  Won't believe it until I see it.

    Lunch did not sit on my tummy good so I was careful what I ate for supper.  Only ate half my lunch,  Odd.  Just had mild supper foods..

    Then I decided to take the trash out.  Only 4 trash bags.  Just one was heavy.  The others were light.  I had one huge box that a shelf unit came in so I filled it with all sizes of boxes all stacked together.  I sat outside with Cinder for a while.  She likes having me outside.  We both miss Nico being with us.  I have 3 huge antlion nests.  One was a bit messed up so I watched him fix it.  Look up Antlions on google.  Kind of cool little bugs.  I remember the garage where I grew up.  We never used it so the floor inside that was just dirt was full of antlions.  I never knew what they were.  A couple of years ago I looked them up.  Interesting.  And it gave me something to do while catching my breath..

    Voting day tomorrow.  I found where you can look at your ballot ahead of time.  All of the local area posts are empty.  You can write someone in.  No clue who I would write in.  Be a short trip to vote.  I assume those national posts on it those named are only Democrats.  Clueless who they are anyway,

    Cinder came in with me.  She is layimg on top of my room heater in a window.  Sound asleep.  And Kisse is laying on the sofa armrest behind my shoulder.  Protecting me I guess.  I have read where cats can see things we cannot & they will protect who they love from what they see.  Kisse sometimes sits in my bedroom door watching, awake.  Looking down the hall.  What is she guarding me from?
