New Year's Eve

Todays Name Day Sylvester

    Slept good last night.  No nap today.  Nico was ok all night also.  Cinder snuggled with me most of the night.  I think she sensed I needed her.

    Got cold last night.  In the 20s.  Now is 31F.  But no wind.  I sat outside to chat with my nephew.  Had farm business & I had something for his kids.  Something I bought for me but decided I would never use it.  They will love it!

    Not up to writing much.  Having pizza with JR later.  My only celebration.  And today is the birthdays of 2 friends.  Wish they both were here!!!

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 356....

 

Gale force winds. Again. Ick. Very warm outside.

Our burned pasture is finally greening up. Cows are back in. Just now some tiny calves are running and playing. Love them!

JS or JR could have carried my trash out. But, oh no! I did it myself. Idiot! Two bags were pretty light. But not the third one!

Nephew was here for some farm business. Good to see him. Had a good visit!

JS and I had a video chat! He needed some advice. I fear I was not much help. Sorry!

After emptying the trash I found to be out of plastic trash bags. I knew I had ordered some but I must not have opened the box. Taaa-daaa! New bags! I probably knew when it came and decided to wait until my drawer was empty.

Miss Kitty is silly. Any new box she must sit in it. All I might see is her head. I bought a toy for her. Three levels with balls that spin around it. She plays with it often.

Recently I misplaced something. I knew it was in a tote bag. I never found which one. Well, Miss Kitty knocked one on the floor and Nico got in it! Great! And I saved what it was before he destroyed it!

Busier today than yesterday. Really warm today. Saw 73F today.

Met my nephew for lunch at Jalisco's. We had some farm business to talk about. He is so easy to work with. I am lucky.

I managed a short nap. Gave me energy. And snuggle time with my Fur Kids.

Met friends at the White Peacock. We sat outside on their patio. Perfect. I splurged and had an almond Italian Soda. Had a great visit.

My brother and I had supper at Jalisco's. They were very busy. Good to see!

Nice to have a good day.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 323....

Had a good day. I set up an appointment for JS to look at a truck. So went in the middle of the afternoon. He liked it and he bought it. We took it on a spin. Nice truck.

I had therapy this afternoon. It went. Talked about current events in my life. And gave me some advice on an offer from a friend. And I have homework for next appointment.

After therapy I met up with a friend. She had a painting for another friend. So I delivered it. And he loved it!! Good. Wasn't her type or mine. It went to a good home.

JR and I had supper together. To make up for missing last Sunday lunch. Good to see him.

Weather was in the 50's. Tomorrow too. But super cold is coming this weekend and next week. Brrr.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 311......

 Quiet day. Tired of my R.A. But that is every day.

Had near perfect weather today --- for spring. Mild, no wind. Gorgeous!

This afternoon I saw a semi turn into my driveway. So I went outside. Not been a semi here in 20 plus years! Willie and our son both drove their semis here. My nephew KN was here. Semi had diesel on it. Huge tank.!

Had a turkey, mash potatoes, and dressing supper. Only a TV dinner but pretty good. Better than bologna! I gave Nico the tray it came in. Did not leave much. He kept licking and pushing it under the sofa. Then would pick it up and walk backwards.

Texted with SS. Always good to hear from my bestie!

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 300....

 A monumental day ---- 300 days in quarantine. That is 10 long months. Amazing. I am not in total quarantine. But I never go in any store anywhere. Groceries are delivered to my car. I order things from Amazon. Such is life. I do eat out but I am very careful where we go. And if they look busy we eat in the car. It is doing me no good not to be around people. I am getting more depressed every day. I need to quit whining. Only my problem.

Last night was not as cold as the night before. While out with Nico I saw eyes from out by my shed watching us. What was it?

JR and I had lunch at Jalisco's for lunch. Lots of take out orders. Nice to visit with MA and his wife, kids, and mother. Good to be around people.

JR came home with me to take my trash out. Missed last pick so trash had taken over the house. While trying to nap, Nico got a box that had shreddings in it. What a mess. He and Miss Kitty were having so much fun with them.

I was extra tired today. No reason. And both my shoulders and upper arms hurt all night. One is RA. The other from lifting a too heavy bag of dog food. JR had to move it to the kitchen.

Supposed be extra warm. where is my winter?
