04/2025 Torsdag the 17th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

Today's Name Day:  Elias, Elis

Not a bad day.  Quiet.  Restful.  Trying to feel better.  Just took care of my cats & me.  Couple of emails & photos.
Too damn hot today,  I saw 93F.  Far too early for this.  I think we may have broke a record.  Not proud.
I can see cattle with little calves frolicking in the pasture.  So cute to see!!!  I should sit outside for a while.  Have mail to sort so maybe later.
There is a little cat living under my house.  Today it was laying on the porch.  I broke down & put out just a small amount of cat food.  This cat WILL NOT become a house cat.  I swear.
High winds today.  Now both trash bins are tipped over again.  I hurt just thinking about having to reposition them again.  It never ends.
I had a nice nap.  Woke up with Kisse curled by my feet & Cinder curled on my shoulder.  Nice to be loved.
Colder tomorrow.  Good.  I ordered a sweater to take to the Mill to leave there so when it is hot out I can dress ok but have a sweater for warmth in the basement.  There is a little space I can stash it in & not bother anyone.  I brought in 3 tiny clothes pins all decorated to use to mark where I am in scanning photos.  Pretty things are nice to have around.
Hopefully rain this weekend sometime.  And/or next week,  We are seriously dry.
    Photos are a mix.
This is a henbit.  They are always purple but a couple of years ago I had a couple of them that bloomed white.  That is rare.  I took lots of photos.
Flowers at the Mill that I edited.
Lindsborg Dalahäst about coffee.
This originally was a blacksmith & wagon shop.  Now it is a coffee shop.  The phone booth is from England
This is my rain gauge.  I do not use it now as there is an app that tells you how much rain you get.  Very accurate.
Hoping for snow next winter.  I never give up hope.
All my Grands in one photo.  A couple of years old but still precious.

04/2025 Onsdag the 16th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

Today's Name Day:  Patricia, Patrik
Both names are cool.  Went to school with a Patricia.  Worked with a Patricia but did not like her much!!  Have at least 2 cousins in Sweden named Patrik.  One's last name is Sjögren.  I have trouble pronoucing the sjö but he does it differently.  Now so do I.  Easier.

Had a good day today.  Glad to be at work.  But a job I enjoyed doing with LL  is now  being taught to our new director.  That is how it should be but I an disappointed.  At the very end I get to help again.  I hope.
I finished the Midsummers photos. Now working on a batch that says First lights on the bridge & Lucia fest,  Well the only photos I have seen are a Christmas parade photos & only a grade school Lucia, not the real one.  And a mere 2 bridge photos at the end of the batch.  But there were many fun photos that are my photos today,
Went to leave work & my doors on my car would not open.  When they finally opened my car would not start.  Panic then started.  I googled for help & it finally did start.  Kind of sluggish.
Got to Jalisco's & asked MA for help.  Thank goodness for him.  He is the best.  He got my key fob opened & made sure I could open it on my own.  I had trouble getting the  battery out.  I used my food knife.  I borrowed it until friday when I return there.  After supper we went to Dollar General to get batteries & lunch meat.  I was not up to buying groceries.  Horrible pain with a front approaching.  And severe panic.  Plus too much lifting.  Guardian angels help me.
Put my new battery in.  It started much perkier.  And I saw messages on my dash that never showed before.  Adding a new battery date on my calendar now.
Supper was Mexican.  I could only eat half.  I was too upset to eat more.  But had ice cream with chocolate this time.
There are some clouds in the SW.  Will they make it here????  HA.
Don Weddle who was the best Tomte ever!
Photo did not come out ok so the app I was using asked if I wanted AI to help.  It made the colors better & added snow.  Fun to play.

Surviving the Pandemic, Day 390....

Had a good day. Poor sleep, but feel ok. Nice weather. We were supposed to get frost but I don't think we got that cold.

JR took photos last night in town of the students in their fancy clothes for high school prom. I used to go to watch. I did not. this year. Some of his photos will be in our local newspaper.

JR and ate at Jalisco's. Our friend GE joined us.

Nice visit.

I went to the kitchen to tell JS adios. They handed me both spatulas! And laughed! That would be some awful food! They all laughed more. CA who speaks little English had JS tell me I look "guapo" (pretty) today. How nice. I splurged and bought a dress a few weeks ago. Guess it was worth the money. Even JS said I looked good. It is rare I see people and even rarer that I get compliments. Made me feel good.

I have one favorite cow here and learned it the favorite of my grandniece and grandnephew. It is oddly colored. My nephew made some changes to the pond. It is extra full. I can see it from my porch. Lovely early in the day with the sun on it.

Always be kind. Wear a mask.

Photos are from today except the Fika photo. I wish I got to Fika more often. I sometimes just go alone with my iPad.
