Today's Name Day: Ronald, Ronny

    Slept good last night.  Cinder stayed near me.  She always knows.  And it rained a little.  Very little.  Our drought is getting severe & worse with every day.

    After lunch I changed all the MANY errors I made on the last minutes I wrote..  Still should have not been ripped in front of the world.  Just my opinion but my opinion did not matter.  Done kissing a$$ today.  Not turning it in to anyone or sending it out again.  Someone wants it they can ask me.  I am offering nada to anyone today.  Or tomorrow.

    Took a nap after fixing my notes.  Had an interesting dream.  We had neighours with dozens of wheat combines harvesting.  Willie was standing with me outside near our house watching all the activity.  Not harvest time yet here.

    I fixed a Mexican supper of taquitos.  My fave.  excellent.

    I made the error of watching the last of Young Sheldon since my emotions are so messed up this week since tuesday.  I never missed Sheldon until Covid & the Hollywood strike.  I no longer watch any network shows other than Ghosts, but I had started watching it when it started so I wanted to see the end.  I cried for the entire hour.   Kisse has

commandeered the newest box & is sleeping in it at my feet.   Cinder is outside so Kisse is taking her place to make sure I am ok.  And giving me support.

    The weather is quiet until this sunday when storms return.  But I need a road trip as the temp will hit almost 90F.  My luck higher.  Wish I could move to a cooler temp area.  I hate heat, humidity, & bugs.  Truly hate it here.

I think I took this but not here.  Maybe in western Kansas where the cemeteries are often German Catholic.  Lutheran cemeteries are lots more boring.

A rare white henbit instead of the usual purple.  My photo.  Had white ones one summer & never again.  Henbit is either a weed or wildflower depending on how you think.

Rocks & flowers in front of the Old Mill yesterday.  These are native rocks to this area.  The largest one is by the curbing.  The have an assortment of holes in them.  I always find a cool small little rock to put in a hole, mostly before I go home, but sometimes when I get to work.  If we have a hard rain, they get washed out.  I am not the only one who does it.  Often a nice assortment of rocks.  And I have a couple in my car.

National Banana Bread Day

Today's Name Day: Torsten, Torun

    Had a good day today.  And look 100% better!!  I slept after 2am.  Cinder was cuddling often.'

    I got up earlier than usual.  Had my hair cut/colored today.  Cinder was missing when I leflt.  I had the TV on, fixing food & feeding Kisse.  No Cinder.  She was sleeping somewhere.  Home all day but met at the door when I got home!

    I had not had my hair cut in far too long.  Same with colouring.  I could actually see my roots!!  No bueno!!  And so good to see Henry.  He gave me a list of movies to look for.  One is Saltburn.  Not online now.  Then Zone of Interest.  Has got to be a horrific movie.  It is online now.  Look it up.  Will report when I see it.  And Feud, Capote vs The Swans.  It is not online now either.  Dang.  One is better than none.

    After I was looking gorgeous I went to Lindsborg to wash my car & pick up meds.  Then JR & I ate at the Crown & Rye.  It was so good but too much for me.  Still a touchy tummy.

    I was tired when I got home & took a very short nap.  Then supper & spanish.  So running late now.

National Comfy Day

(Did not plan to celebrate it but I did all day!)

Today's Name Day: Vivianne

    Again.  Today is not a good day.  Why me??? 

    I woke up at 8am.  Had a great night's sleep with Cinder snuggling most of the night.  As soon as I was awake I felt queasy.  That increased.  And from that moment I was sick all day.  I threw up often until around 5pm.  Not a fun day.  I kept track of my blood sugar.  It was really low around noon but by supper it was more normal..  And I got up without throwing up.  I had some Pepsi & 2 crackers.  So far ok.  Maybe I should wear a mask all the time.  But a friend who does still got sick last week.  Lots of flu & colds here.  I seem to be a magnet for bad luck.

    Got really warm today.  Saw 72F.  Way too hot for now.  I stuck my head outside around supper time.  Felt nice.  Same weather all week.  Tiny chance of rain tomorrow.

    Poor cats.  I never got out of bed until supper.  I think they found food in an open cat food container.  Both had food left out over night.  Cinder went out right away.  Kisse never left my side all day.  Laid in her chair next to my bed.  And is still near me, snuggled up.  Nice that someone cares.  There are those who sort of ignored me today also.

    I am caught up on 2 days of soaps.  Good.  Trash was picked up today.  Very good.  I can relax for a day or two.  Watching Graham Norton.  Interesting.  Nice to hear humour from across the pond.  Next is my Spanish lesson.  It is in an easy phase now.  Sure that won't last.  Never does.

    Photos all relate to travel.  I took the one of a hippie bus.  It was actually in my town one sunday.  Very cool.  People did not look like hippies.  The big train is called Big Boy #4014.  Seen it twice.  It is huge.  If you stand close as it goes by you the earth truly moves.  Did not come near here last year.  Maybe this year??  This is not my photo though.  Have to look mine up to share.

National Hot Chocolate Day

Today's Name Day:  Ivar, Joar

    Today was a wonderful day.  I slept excellent all night. With Cinder's help.  And Kisse was near too.  I was up early to get ready for my day.

    When I departed this morning, Kisse had eaten breakfast.  Cinder was curled up in her new fave nest.  She missed her chance to go outside.  Once I had cleaned the litter box I was out the door.  And gone all day!

    Met LL at the Old Mill.  When she got out of a meeting we took off for lunch.  We went to 5 Loaves in McPherson.  It is in a bowling alley.  Great & tasty food.  Good help.  I had small pieces of steak in a bun with au jus.  I love it.  I had french fries too but only ate a few.

    With out meal done, we drove to Hutchinson where she had papers to pick up.  Then back to McPherson to the library where she delivered papers.  And after the post office in Lindsborg we went to work at the Mill.  A nice day so far of lots of chatting & sight seeing.

    Work was good.  Almost done with the book of photos I am working on.  Photos are a bit boring & mostly unidentified activities & people.

    After work JR & I had supper at Jalisco's.  Slow there tonight.  With our nice weather they should have been busy.  Hard to read people sometimes.

    Dessert was ice cream.  They have been closing early due to the cold weather.  Well, today reached 70F so they stayed open late.  Had my fave ice cream.  Nice end to a great day!!

    After being gone all day & part of the evening, I wondered what the cats had been up to.  Apparently not much.  Their food was barely touched.  Litter box was not used much.  They both must have slept all day.

    Tonight Cinder is starved for attention.  Got my Spanish done before she was out here but writing my blog is a challenge.  Cinder has been over to her food I bet 5 times.  Kisse does not like hard food so she has had her food with gravy.  Cinder is finally sitting on the sofa arm rest.

    Photos are local winter photos.  Many are ones I took.  The black & white dog was Willie's last dog, Jo.  She was the sweetest dog.  We had her & Nico at the same time.

                            

05 may, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Today is Cinco de mayo.  It is a yearly celebration held on May 5 to celebrate Mexico's victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza.  I have not celebrated today.  No fun alone.  But I am having some tequila in a few minutes.

    Too hot today.  And worse to come.  We hit 86.2F today.  Our low was 61.2F.  Too warm all night.  Might have to lower my AC.

    I had an appointment with my financial this afternoon.  He is the best.  All is well.  He has a great personality.  And he treats me like I am special.  I certainly not special but it is nice to feel like I am once a year.  His client before me was a friend's daughter.  She & I had a great visit.  They both were so nice to me.  Soooooo.  Why do I not have friends then?  What have I done wrong?  I try to be friendly when I see someone I know.  I try to never hurt anyone.  But still I have no friends.  And the ones I have no longer live here.  And there is no one to take their place.  Makes me so sad.  Loneliness is just awful.  The worst.  Fui feliz. 

    JR & I had supper at Jalisco's.  MA's parents are here from Mexico.  Great to see them!  His dad just had to be my friend on FB because his wife is!  Sweet.  Does he ever write?  No, but that is ok.  Nice people.

    Jalisco's did the food for a wedding party tonite.  Wedding is probably tomorrow.  I have never seen that much food leave the restaurant before.  One of the waiters has gone back to Mexico.  I will miss him.  So only MA could take orders or money.  He was running.  Tons of other to go orders too.  He really needs another waiter.  See if he gets one that will stay.  One can hope.

    MA was so busy he never asked if JR & I wanted our normal dessert.  So we drove over to Dollar General ---- or better known in town as Dala General ---- & had ice cream bars.  Plan to do that more often.  Mine was vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate in the shape of Mickey Mouse.  I am sharing a photo!!

20 february, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    I had a great day!!  I was up early so I could reschedule my chiropractic app't.  Then I was getting ready for a road trip.  My boss & friend went to Yoder Kansas for lunch at the Carriage Crossing.  Yoder is an Amish community.  Many people only travel by horse drawn carriage.  The Carriage Crossing has the best food & the pies are to die for.  I had a hot beef sandwich but no pie.  )-:  I did buy some bread & a huge cinnamon roll for home.  

    After lunch we went to a farm to buy some hand made things for the Old Mill gift shop.  Cool things --- trivets, candles, & coasters.  We met in their garage.  There were 3 carriages in there.  So cool.

    On the way home we drove through the Dillon Nature Center, the Sand Hills State Park, & then Inman KS.  A good day.  Hope we can do this again.  Got to think of a cool place to go eat!

    Tonite JR & I ate at Jalisco's.  A quiet night there.  Good to see everyone.  I needed some groceries & so did JR so he got for both of us.  

    I needed to take trash out but I just cannot do it.  I hurt most of the weekend & tonight is no better.  It will keep until the next time.  I do what I can.  "I ran out of spoons today"
