09 march, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    I slept pretty good & early.  Nice.  Cinder got snipped at so she ignored me.  Nico!!!

    The night temps stayed so-so.  Not too cold.  Today was in the 40s.  Around 10pm last night it started to drizzle.  Kept on most of the night.  Near morning I saw light rain.  Not enough to get excited about though.  Same as usual.

    I had an eye dr. app't today.  Hopefully now I can get my drug from my RA doctor.  Not had it for 2 months.  Both docs are to blame.  I will try on monday to put an order in for it.  He decided to dilate my eyes today.  Oh joy!  Since Willie died, I have no one to drive me home, so I tough it out.  Living alone is not good.  My vision was sooo blurry.  And then I went to a BBQ place to order food for supper & the next couple of days.  That was ok but then driving home was awful.  Eyes are still not normal.

    When I brought Cinder in last night she was wet.  Why was she not in our shed or under the house?  She stayed in all night.  Smart cat.

    Maybe a hint of rain on saturday.  Why even bother.  It does nothing for our drought.

    My best friend JS & I met 10 years ago today.  I texted him.  Long time.  I am still trying to adjust to his moving away.  Easy for him, but not me.  Not fun being alone almost all the time.

    Photos tonight are a mix.  The second & third photos are from an island in Sweden, Marstrand.  The house is my favorite one there & the restaurant is where I had lunch with a friend daily.  They had awesome pizza!!  Then me & photos here at home.

                            

29 september, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Slept well last night.  Nice.  I could have slept all day!!!  But had a hair app't.

    I had called my doctor yesterday but no one called me back.  I got a call this morning.  Someone I did not know.  I gave her my details then she talked to the dr.  She called me back with new insulin orders.  Hope that works.  Time will tell.  It was too late for lunch so I started at supper.  I have never felt bad except when I checked the first time.  Since then I have felt normal.  I might feel ok but I have been shaky with my high blood sugar readings.

    Had my hair app't in Salina.  Always nice.  HP is always caring & fun.  And makes me look good.  And I always get a hug.  Not all his customers do.

    I stopped at Hickory Hut for beef & baked beans.  That was for supper.  Hard to drive home smelling the good food!  Baked beans are the best ever.  Lots of meat in it.

    I had time to just rest & catch my breath until time to eat.  Nico napped near me.

    Watched CNN in Florida.  Beyond scary.  The sad stories.  Did no one evacuate like they were told?  Hope my family is ok  Have not texted in case they have no electricity.

    Got a couple of packages in the mail.  I need to lock Nico up while I open them.  He is a mess.  His nose is in the middle of things.  He steals what he can.  Then makes a mess.

    The nice weather must have given Cinder spring fever!  She was curled up under a chair when I left for my app't.  In the same place when I got home.  Sweet.

If it is your birthday & you eat in Jalisco's the entire staff will sing to you.  And JS has a large spoon full of whipped cream to spread on your nose.  It is a Mexican custom that on your birthday your face ends up in your cake.  This is his favorite job!!

07 july, 2022 Wandering

    My first day truly out of the house.  About time!!  Been far too long in the house & not seeing anyone & hearing from only a few.  Even from some I expected to at least text me once or twice.

    Beyond tired of heat & humidity.  Got down to around 72F last night probably due to some rain.  Not much here but Salina had more than we did.  Got up around 10am & the humidity was 91%.  91%  That is unreal!!  Took Nico out & hard to breath or move!!  Down to 57% now.

    I had a hair appointment.  Nice to get my hair trimmed & styled.  I had hoped he had time for me next week but I am out of luck.  Have to find another place.  Will not return to the one I used last week.  Awful.  Will research & call soon.  All the ones in Lindsborg are always full too.  I gave up asking years ago.  Maybe should try McPherson.  Cannot hurt.

    I love my stylist.  He is the best.  He is friendly, funny, & always gives me a hug when I leave.  Wish we were true friends but he already has many & I am sure I would not fit in.  My luck.

    Slept good last night.  Nice for a change.

    Last winter & summer I had little sparrows that slept under my carport roof.  Then they left & had no more.  Last night there was one.  Maybe because of the rain.  I wondered if the cats scared them.  But they were always quiet so maybe the cats would not notice.  And really difficult to get to them.  I hope.

    Just glanced out my living room window & I saw a black cow in my yard.  Then it was back in the pasture.  Pretty soon there was a white cow in my yard.  Should be one more!  Called KN.  He will check.  No problem.
