Wedding Anniversary

We would have been married for 58 years today.  We eloped to a judge's office.  No one ever gave us a reception, shower or anything.  We had a lot of good years before health issues took its toll.  I mourn for the years we lost

    Had a good day today.  As long as I stayed out of the sun & outdoors!!

    I got up early to get ready for work.  I got dressed, did my hair, etc.  Went to the living room, turned on my soaps on TV, fixed lunch & ate.  Not one cat appeared!  I decided to just go to work quietly so Cinder would be in the house instead the heat.  Got home at 7pm & they were still sleeping.  What a couple of lazy slackers!!  Cinder came & went outside.  It is in the 80s now.  A bit cooler tomorrow then super hot after that!!

    My weight loss shot is really working.  I have a fridge full of food & nothing looks or tastes good. Hope I lose those 10 pounds I just added.

    Work was fun, even though my friend & boss is away.  I finished the photo folder of "D" last names.  Got the "E" folder ouot & sorted the photos according to size.  Ready for next week.  I always look for something unusual or special whether old or young to share.  I found a perfect one today.  I knew the two adults in the photos but not the 5 little kids around them.  Just a few. minutes after I shared it the kids had been named!!  Will add names to the back of the photo & the copy of it next week.

    The smoke continues.  I do not quite feel normal but not too bad. I walked down my hallway at sunset & saw the sun in the west.  A bright red.  Have to try for a photo tomorrow.

    Supper was Mexican & snow cone for dessert.  One of the waitstaff has moved away. With his wife & daughter.  She just recently got here from Mexico but does not like my town.  She has no one to talk to.  She only speaks Spanish.  I will miss him.  Known him for many years.  One other worker I had not seen in a while but he was working tonight.  Glad..  I like him.  Another one thought he was going to visit Mexico again but no money.. I want him to stay.  He just a sweet young guy.  Smiles easi;ly.

    Photos are new ones I took today.  Mostly at the Old Mill.  Just little things that caught my eye.  So some of them are odd.  I have not got out to photo things in the country.  There was a house that had gorgeous flowers I wanted park by it for photos. But.  People were going in the house.  It is a bed & breakfast.  Poo.  Will get them another day.

                            

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 360....

 

A good day. Rained for part of the day. Will start again after midnight.

Many people are saying today is the One Year Anniversary of Covid quarantine. Not for me. In Kansas we had no cases and I thought maybe we were safe. Ha. Did not last long. My anniversary of when I stopped going most places is a few days away. Been a long, difficult year. My therapist closed her office for a long time. What social life I had came to a stop except eating in the car with JR. Things are still not right. I thank God daily for Jalisco's being open. Not one case of Covid has been linked to them. MA measured from my favorite boothe to the nearest table. They work hard to be safe. They have helped save my sanity. So has Calvin & Hobbes!! I read them daily. Laughing is good!!

Got up far too early to see my eye doctor. One test they do is frustrating. My right eye is perfect. My left is awful. Will do a follow up test.

Back at home I slept a large part of the day. Perfect weather......dark, damp, cool. And surrounded by Fur Kids.

JR and I ate supper at Jalisco's. They were very busy. Many large take out orders. Most tables full for in house dining.

JS was a waiter today. And he was in prime form. He teased me a lot. Made for a fun evening.

JR put on a large grouping of town photos from 1978. Great fun to see our town as it used to be. It has been liked 240 times and shared 21 times. Cool! Lots of memories.

Nico and Miss Kitty had a sweet moment. Nico was gently nibbling her neck. Miss Kitty licked his face. Then they chased and wrestled.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 228......

 Quiet and warmer day. I slept off and on last night.

Early this morning I took Nico out. I saw a head above the tall weeds in the pasture. A deer was watching us! Later I saw a very large bird fly up from my pond. No idea what it was. Maybe a heron. Not a hawk or vulture. I like living out here where  you see things not seen in town.

Stayed home all day. Almost drove to town but did not feel like it. Too lazy to get dressed. The longer the quarantine lasts, the less I care. And I sort of feel that no one cares about me either. Part of being alone so often.

Having less pain. Found a small bottle of pain spray. Seems to help. I was looking forward to seeing my doctor in Wichita but am having second thoughts. Almost all the ICU beds are full in Wichita. I do not need to go there. Dang. Maybe she can order a different med that helps with pain. Hard to show her what is wrong on a video. And she can only guess what is wrong with my hips. Just cannot win. Hard when I need help but to get it must put myself in danger.

Idiots are out today. Had to delete from my group on FB people who posted that Covid is a hoax. Just in Wichita with almost all ICU beds full of Covid patients, that is not a hoax. Same over most of the US. Good God no wonder we cannot get ahead of it. We are doomed with people like this preaching false things.

Warmer weather is here and no rain forecast. We got next to zilch the last two days. South of us got more than here. My county is almost 3 inches behind in rain. Other places got more and they needed it.

Today would have been my parent's 79th wedding anniversary. I added a couple of photos of me with them. One is me and Mom in a Glamor Shot. One is a very old Christmas card with my parents. Amazing, I used to be cute! What happened!?
