Today's Name Day:  André, Andrea

Have known one Andrea from high school.  Older than me.

    Staying home today.  Cancelled all plans except running an errand for MM.  Drove around town a bit to take photos of flowers.  Felt ok doing that.  Could not stay to visit with MM but I am physically not up to it.  There were workmen in his house.

    The weather truly sucks today. The breeze does not help at all. Stopped at the cemetery on the way home.  Worry about Willie's grave.  Got there & my car said it was 100F.  Ick!!!  Stayed at that temp all they way home.  Now there is a line of storms in the SW Kansas with some high winds.  Wonder if they will come here?

The weekend will be cooler.  Great.

    Had some emails today.  That is it.  Photos are a mix of things.

The old airport in Denver Colorado where planes took off & landed over the interstate.  What a thrill if I to see it live!!  Today the airport is far out of town.

Wandering Through Life, 26 august 2021

     Had an OK day.  Slept well.  

    Very hot again —— 100F.  Less wind and less humidity.  Same tomorrow.  Will it never end??

    Today is the National Dog Day.  Nico got to celebrate by getting his nails clipped.  Then we went through the car wash.  A first for him.  He did not like the guy spraying the car and walking around us.  Being protective.  And he got a special treat for supper.  Then we sat outside for a long time.  Not too warm and he could stretch out and doze.

    A day home alone for me.  Did not get so depressed.  Probably since I was busy.  Good.

    So sad that a man in a neighboring town needed to be in ICU but died since there were no rooms available.  He did not have Covid.  Extremely sad.  Especially since this could have been avoided if people actually believed educated people and not those who tell us to take animal medication.  I have no words.  My heart breaks for him and his family.

    My great grandson had a run in with a swing last night.  Got hit on his head twice.  Made a trip to the ER but is ok today.  Back to laughing and playing this afternoon.  Good to see!!  He always has a big smile on his face.  Looks so much like his dad!

    Photos are ones I have colored in an online coloring book app.  It relaxes me.  Something different than flowers.    

Wandering Through Life, 25 august 2021

    Had a very good day.  It was a work day.  I love the old photos.  A while ago our server died a noble death.  So today I started over because we know we will have to redo many already done.  That is ok.  I still like it.

    I am enjoying getting to know our new director.  I do not get to see her often but she is friendly and tries to include me in things.

    It was very hot again.  Over 100F.  Ick.  Just now I took Nico out and almost passed out.  The air is so heavy I could hardly breathe.  Humidity is around 70%.  Miserable.

    Supper with my brother and our friend PM. Good memories.  JS tried to help me with my phone but it will wait until next week.  Long chat with NM, new waiter. Good meal.

    Tomorrow Nico gets his nails clipped.  LONG overdue.  Awful.  I cannot wait.
