I have known so many Lindas.  Best friend in junior high.  Cousin.  Class mates.

    

    Had a better than great day!!  I decided to skip my Swedish Friendship Group.  Stomach was upset yesterday so I chose just to sleep.

    Taking my meds just make me feel sick.  Just the thought of taking them makes me queasy.  Too many.  Feeling sick now.

    Lunch was with LL as usual on friday.  I was lucky to get a table for us.  Not "our" table but better than no table.  Had good conversation.  I always look forward to friday lunch.

    Work at the SVAFC.  First time in 2 weeks.  Not sure I have ever had so many visitors.  A fun day!!

    First visitors was a couple from Colorado with the goldendoodle.  Their dog was not at all fond of heat & humidity.  They came in & he laid on our carpet & we could here him sigh "air conditioning"!!!  He fell asleep.  I told them he was saying to them to go around town on their own, let him sleep, & come back when they were ready to leave.  His name was Fenway Park, Esq.  They sat & chatted with me for a while.  So much fun!!

    Next 2 men came in from Scottsdale Arizona.  They were friendly & pleasant.  Then much later 2 other men came in from Scottsdale Arizona!!!  They did not know the first 2 men who were in.

    JH spent a lot of time the gallery.  I always enjoy his company.  We feel like we have known each other for years.  We have not but I worked for his step mom & he said they always talked about me.  And he still likes me!!!  😋.  A miracle!!

    I got very little time alone.  I had no time time to get sleepy.  Each work day should be the same.

    Super hot & humid day.  I saw 100F my car.  We were in a wind warning.  There were gusts from 40 to 50mph.   But it kept the mosquitos off of me getting the house.

    Went to the car wash after work.  It was way overdue!!!

    Two more work days then a day off!!!  See what next week brings.

    When I got home Cinder immediately sat in the window looking out in the yard.  Kisse immediately curled up next to me & fell asleep.  That was odd.  Usually she needs to be petted.  Not today.  Just snuggles.  Sweet.

    Special on the TV of Grammy winning songs,  who wrote them & the story behind them.  Not bad.  Better than reruns.

    Today is the "real" Midsommarsdag in Sweden.  Ours is never on the right day.  So my blog photos are all Midsommarsdag.  Today is actually Midsommarsafton  ---  night before Midsommarsdag.  But it all starts today.  Be fun to have been there once for it.   Should have went there once & then just stayed & never come back here.  How different life would be then.

My Swedish family at the summer home in Boana Småland Sweden.  I got to stay there my first trip to Sweden.  There are 3 homes here.

04/2025 Tisdag the 01st - Wandering & Capturing Moments

Today's Name Day:  Harald, Hervor

Harald is a special name.  Willie's brother & KN's father was Harold.  They did not get along.  Sad.  Not sure of all the reasons why.  Wish families were not dysfunctional ---- including my own.  Mind got worse with time.

    Had an ok day.  Windy again.  Wears one down.  Winds in the 40s.  Temp was a bit warmer.  In a severe weather warning for tonight.  Making me super stressed!!! 😱

    Took a nap in case I get little sleep tonight.  Hoping it is over early enough I can take my anxiety pill for sleep.  Both cats napped in my bed  with me also.  Nice they do that.

    Not been outside since morning.  The trash guys did not pick up my trash bin that was already laying flat.  But the other has blown over now too.  Lovely,  No need to pick then up before the stormy weather.  Would probably knock them over again then.

    No communication.  A couple of texts from MM & one email.  Ignored by all others.  Like normal.  I am too used to being ignored & alone.  It is so hurtful to send a text or two to someone & they either don't bother to read it or don't answer.  Makes me feel even more alone.  But that is my problem.  I have quit sharing on FB as not many like what I share.

    Cattle are roaming around.  Have not seen the llamas yet.  If they were close I would go pick up my mail with my camera.

    Photos were a mix.  Could not find the ones I wanted.  Odd.

003/2025 Tisdag the 18th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Edmund, Edvard

    Not a bad day.  Slept ok.  And the cats & I napped together.  Our low temp last night was 50F.  The high was 77F.  Light winds overnight.  But late today it zoomed up to 30mph.  I had trouble just standing on the front porch.  It will only get worse.  Up to 60mph tonight & tomorrow.  Plus rain then snow, up to 5" of snow.  Maybe,

    Had trouble with my eletricity yeseterday late afternoon.  Went out twice for a few seconds.  Called KN who came & looked.  Then after dark it went completely dark for almost a minute.  I called KN again.  Then it was back on.  He said his uncle TJ would come out in the morning.  TJ is retired from the electric company.  And when they returned today they saw something wrong but not on my side so I will ot get charged.  The workers were here around lunch.  Did not take them long to fix..  Now if the high winds coming here do not hurt anything all is well.

    So relieved our 2 astronauts are back on earth.  Now on the way to Houston to see their families.  I bet they are all thrilled everyone is safe.  We all are.

    I just went to get my mail.  And the llamas are near but my phone is in the house.  Not going back out.  Too windy.

    Going to work tomorrow is iffy.  I texted LL & told her I would see how bad it looks.  I am sure I will stay home.  Wind continues until suppertime.  But warmer on thursday & less winds.

  

003/2025 Fredag the 14th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Matilda, Maud

I know a Maud who lives in Sweden.  Cool lady!!

    Had a good day today.  After sleeping good I met LL for lunch at the White Peacock.  It was busy but we did get a table to eat at.  I had my usual sandwich called The Dala ---- roll, ham, cheese, mayo, lingonberries.  Very good.

    Then I went to the SVAFC.  It was sort of quiet.  Had 2 people come in but did not stay long.  Later a lady came in with photos of hers & cards she had made.  She had invited several people but only 2 showed up.  So there was a bit of action but did not add many people to the sign in sheet.  MM was bartending across the street at the Öl Stuga.  He came over for a hug & short chat.  Nice to see him.

    At the end of my work day I met a local very well known artist.  He went to college here then lived in Alaska for many years.  Now has moved back here.  Nice to finally meet him.

    Then JR & I supper at Jalisco's.  I got my 2 burritos --- one to eat there, one to take home.  Supper meal.  They were kind of busy,

    Got bad news.  The one waiter is moving to Tennessee with his wife & daughter.  Another waiter's sister is here to take his place.  I do not know her.  Fun to meet someone new.

    I was sooo tired.  Got home & took a short nap.  My pasture was full of cattle & little calves,  Love this time of the year.  No llamas though.

    The strong low front that moved in today is not doing me any good.  Lots of back pain.  No bueno,  Mid afternoon the wind whipped up with gusts up to 50mph.  Awful.  Gusts now in the  20s.  Better.  But super strong tomorrow again.  😰
