Happy Easter in Swedish.  Sweden does witches for Easter.  The kids dress up as witches.  And get candy.

I have known a Jens & a couple of Jonases.

    My day was ok but the weekend was a challenge.  Rough on me emotionally & physically.  And I got no support in any way.  Just me & the cats here alone    

    With the high winds I had a group of boxes that kept blowing around.  Both trash bins have been tipped over.  Someone --- KN?? --- put the group of boxes in one bin & left it laying on its side.  Would not have stayed if set it upright.  I have another pile of boxes. I could do the same with them.  See how much pain I am in.  There are no offers to help me if I need it

    I slept so-so.  Needed a bit more sleep but it went ok. I brought my iPad to work at the SVAFC. I googled how to do something but then I realised my keyboard needs to be charged.  Duh.  Charging now.  See if  that helps.  Might take a while.

    Had a few people come in.  Last day of this show.  I told MH I could probably work for him on friday.  Then I can see the next show.  I am baffled what it will be.  I am curious.

    The 10th of April is the yearly Jazz Walk in town.  A family named Draper have a huge musical group.  They walk down the sidewalk playing their instruments then a concert in the Sundstrom Building.  All free.  The music this year is Blues.  Will be awesome.  Decided I am taking that friday off from work.  Trying to eat out for lunch, working all afternoon, then supper out, & finally the concert.  Too much for one day.  Will relax most of the day at home.

    After work supper was at Pizza Hut.  I was hungry.  Had pasta & garlic bread.  Ate most of it.  Then home.  I did my spanish lesson at work on my iPad.  Not easy but I got 2 lessons done.  Sort of awful.  May check on a new case.  Since I have ignored this one too much.

    I found out a gathering I am usually included in did not invite me.  Upsets me even though it is none of my business.  So I have been crying.  Lots more to the story but that is all I am saying.  FOMO ---- fear of missing out.  Not really a fear anymore.  I am just excluded from things going on.  Period.

    This weekend was our Messiah Chorus festival.  Used to be both Easter weekends, 3 performances, concerts during the week.  Almost nothing now.  Very sad.  They have trouble getting people to sing or attend.

    Photos are nothing special.  Saw no llamas today.  Or yesterday.

     The cats have been hanging around more today.  Ate last night & today.  Cinder is sleeping by the TV.  Kisse is hiding.   Probably under my bed.

002/2025 Tisdag the 25h - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Sigvard, Sivert

    Much better day.  Feelingi normal today.  And slept well.  Temp was a little chilly during the night but cooler today.  Sort of hazy & the house got to 76F but with no strong sun it felt better,  A front is here now,   Must be weak because I am not hurting like usual. New front tomorrow.

    I did sit outside for a while a bit ago.  Had mail to go through.  Then I noticed the llamas were near me.  One was standing in a low spot so no photo.  But the other one I got a shot of.  There was a cow with them.  No other cows.  Maybe she is going to have a calf soon.  Have to watch.

    Got photos of MM & AM.  MM was sick on the same days I was.  Maybe caught something when we had lunch the other day.  And had an email from a good friend.

    Have the news on.  I am grateful for even tiny bits of good news from the government.  Still lots of bad news too.  As usual.

    Excited for work tomorrow.  I might finish the book I am working on.  The first part is all photos.  Last part has lots of letters etc.  Don't make copies of thing like that.  Chance of rain.  Good.  I always dress warm as the basement is always cold for me.

    Had a short video chat with JS.  Just checking to make sure he was ok.  Good to see & hear him.

    Cats quiet today.  Cinder stayed with me this morning until I got up.

Wandering, 28 february 2022

    Another challenging day.  My furnace quit working that I wrote about yesterday.  I made the executive decision to sleep in bed with no heat.  I was comfy in bed but when I got up it was pretty awful.  It was in the 50s this morning.  That is too cold.  We all moved to the living room and turned the room heater on.  After our nap it was up to 72F in the living room.  Tonight we sleep on the sofa. 

    I tried all day to get ahold of my furnace guy.  Three calls and no answer.  I feared he was ill and I did not know.  But around supper he called and admitted he was exhausted!  He almost always answers when I call but not today.  So he was very busy.  He will be here tomorrow after lunch.  That gives me time to round the fur kids up so they won't escape as he works.  There are 2 problems.  The furnace will come on and then quit.  He knows what that is.  Sounds not too bad.  The AC is always on.  I thought that was how it should be.  KN cut the electricity to it weeks ago.  Will need it this week.  Almost 80F.  Awful.

    I sat outside while Cinder ate and the black cat sat a ways away and watched.  Maybe she will accept me sometime.

    Now if Nico would just chill outside.  Mercy he is a mess.  Cinder has learned when I say the dog is coming she gets off the porch.  She would be fine if he would not bark and chase.

    According to the weather, today is the official day winter ends.  What winter?  Not where I live.  South of me had winter as did the west and north.  We got nada.  There were at least 30 days of 60F or more this ^winter^.  I hardly dare to ask how our wheat is doing.  Cannot be good.  Really glad I sold all my wheat ground.

    Tonight the prairie was peaceful, except for Nico.  It was getting dark and the cattle were near and quiet.  Even with me yelling at Nico!!  I saw several flocks of birds in different places and I spied one crow.  I rarely see them.  I hear them but do not see them.

    Had a raccoon on the porch last night and the night before.  Looking for food.  Cats eat it all.  But they still look, just in case.  A couple of things had moved but nothing was hurt.

    There is a map where you can look up your country and the ones around you how Covid is.  My county is low risk for Covid.  But the one north is worse.  So in my town I may not wear a mask but if I go to Salina it goes back on.

    I always listen/read what is going on in the Ukraine.  I have the highest respect for Ukraine's president and his family.  My state Kansas's state flower is the sunflower. Ukraine's country flower is the sunflower.  I cannot do much but I will start posting photos of sunflowers often.  Most people I am connected to on FB never read or comment or like what I post so I just do what I want and what I like.

    Photos are just a mix of photos I have saved.  The large white building is a castle in Sweden named Vanås.  Was once in my family several hundred years ago!
