Today's Name Day:  Hilda, Hildur

I remember a lady from church that was Hilda.  I am sure there was a Hildur also.  Old names.

    Nice day.  Met friends for lunch at Pizza Hut.  Great converation.  Good food. Pretty quiet there tonight,.

    Surprising how warm it was today.  Almost 60.  Will end tonight.

    I slept ok last night.  A bit chilly.

    I was worried last night.  Gracie my grandpuppy escaped while MM was at work.  And he could hear her but she would not come in.  The temp last night was 11F.  She was out for 18 hours.  Shame at her!!!!  Glad she is home today.

    Had several texts from MM & an email or two from JL.  That was it.

    When I worked on saturday afternoon I spent the entire time writing.  Did me good.  The universe knows it all now.  And more to come.

    Blood sugar is finally dropping.  Maybe can have a cookie before bed.  Not sure I am up to a supper.  Just eat something so I can take my insulin.

06/2025 Sábado the 07th - JOURNEY

 

This is my cousin Gottfrid's kitchen window.  It looks out to a meadow where deer are seen often.  Past the trees is a river.  Heaven on earth.  Love staying with him.  He lived near Järvsö Sweden, far north of Stockholm.

Today's Name Day:  Robert, Robin

I have known several Roberts & at least one Robin. The best was Rob from Australia.

    Another day at home alone.  Hate being alone with no or little communication with anyone.  I tend to not text anyone that I know will not answer in any way.  I will just share things that people may or may not like.  The most I can hope for is a simple like.  Some get ignored.///

    Got to almost 90F here today.  No wind.  Had rain overnite.  I got a whopping 0.25".  Does not help our drought.  Sigh.........

    Felt ok mostly.  Took a short nap on the sofa.  Cinder curled on my chest.  Both cats laid in bed with me last night.  Here is a collage of them after we all woke up.  I am eternally thankful for both of them  Kisse is 12 years old.  The first video of Cinder on my porch is Feb. s1, 2022.  No clue how old she is.

    Not done much today.  Picked up mail from the porch.  Like to sit outside but there are alway bugs.  I opened the front door last night & got attacked moths.  In my hair!!!!  I sprayed stuff around the door & porch today some stuff that hopefully will drive them away.  Oh, the dreams of fools.........

    Found a new tv dinner of chicken alfredo.  One of the best I have had.  Very tasty & does not upset me stomach.  Glad I found it.  I hate to cook.  And it is a waste when it is only me.  Who would care???

    Not much else today.  A day of nothing much.  No cushy life for me just doing what I want & letting others make sure I get all I want & need.  I am rarely in a "getting" position.  I am doomed to be a "giver" only.  One friend is looking for someone to share her life with.  I cannot imagine ever being in that position.  There is no one in this world who could love me & want to spend his life with me.  Oh, the dreams of fools........

    Tomorrow is supper out.  If I feel ok.  If I don't 
stuck at home alone again.

This is Marstrand.  The yellow building where I ate breakfast & I shared with a gull & other birds.  Next to it is an open lot where my friend sold his paintings.  The white building next on the left was a restaurant.  They had great pizza.  Up a few blocks is where I slept.  On the front left is a blue ferry I took often to go to the mainland.  White building to the right of the yellow building was a shop.  Then right around the corner was somewhere I liked to go sit.  Great buildings.  The large buildibg on top of the city is a fort.  I never went to it.  Very steep.  I had hurt my feet walking on cobblestone.

06/2025 Viernes the 06th - JOURNEY

 

Sweden's National Day.  It used to be sort of ignored but that has changed.  I am glad.  Be fun to be there.

Today's Name Day:  Gösta, Gustav

    Today was a good day.  I skipped my Swedish Friendship Group.  Did not want to push myself.

    Lunch was with LL at the White Peacock.  It was too busy.  Could not get the table we wanted.  There was a computer sitting on it, coffee cup, etc.  No person.  No idea where he was but not in the coffee shop.  Much later he slowly walked in the front door.  HUH???  If you are leaving the business take your stuff so there is room for other people to sit.  How rude.  I would never just leave a laptop sitting alone in public.  We are a truly rude people in this country.

    Then this afternoon some twit made a comment about the Peacock how disappointed she is that they are participating in some Pride events,  She was promptly banned from our group & her comment deleted,  Guess she is not smart enough to realise how many Pride folks are or still are in the military.  Good to be rid of her.  I have started deleted any comment that is rude,  Grow up & be an adult,

    I have had many gay, etc. friends & Hispanic friends.  Not one of them have hurt me or been rude,  White people and/or family have hurt me repeatedly.  I prefer to be in mixed company.

    I walked in for lunch with ZR from the Stuga.  Then SB head of the newspaper came in.  We had a nice visit.  I try to always tell him when I like what he writes & to let him know if who or what he writes about is connected to me.  Plus a nice visit with MH.  That is the best.

    While we ate, I got 1/4" of rain at home.  What a shock!!!  Every drop helps.

    Then work at the Old Mill.,  I zoomed through photos today.  Had LL look at photos to check on names.  She & AP were gone for a long time in the afternoon.  A grandson of the original owner stopped in.  How cool!   They were on their way to Colorado.  His granddaughter is with him.  She is an artist. When they come back they will have a painting of the Mill for us.  Awesome.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  A friend was in there so we had a long visit.  The new kitchen worker even waved at  me.  We have never been introduced so that is nice.  He and the lady who helps be a waiter & busses tables are married with 3 kids.  Nice family.

    Took time to buy some groceries but passed on ice cream.  Now home & blogging.

    Got a text from my PA in Hutchinson asking how I am doing.  That made my day.  Nice to know someone cares enough to ask.  Will write her a note this weekend

    Special day in Sweden so I am posting some Swedish photos.  Info about today by the first photo,  Also photos from the White Peacock today.  Love that place.

    Changed the days from Swedish to Spanish.  Will help me.  I am struggling with my lessons.  Painful.

Memories of Sweden.  Will try to name a few.  Lake, flowers on Marstrand, boat near Göteborg & I think the fish church on the shore, Swedish flowers, castle near where my family is from,  Stenegård, Marstrand, church, Turning Torso in Malmö, church in Karlshamn I think, a couple from a famous book ---- he is looking forward, she is looking back to home.  Sweet Memories.  My great grandmother is from Karlshamn.
