One of my many chronic illnesses.  It is behaving today.

Today's Name Day:  Agata,  Agda

    Had a fun day.  Lunch out with my thursday lunch group.  Ate at the White Peacock today.  I had biscuits & gravy.  Love it!!  Had lots of conversation & laughs.  Fun day.

    Tried to take a short nap but that did not happen.  Got up to work on a project I have put off.  About done.  Got caught up on my soaps (novellas) while working.

    Cats are still napping.  I am out of one of their favorite foods.  More comes on saturday.  They will survive.  Pouting though.

    Temp got to almost 70F today.  House was far too hot.  Turned my ac on for awhile.  Now set to nothing working.  Fine without it .  Tomorrow sort of the same but a bit cooler with strong north winds.

    No mouse so difficult for me to create my blog.  New  mouse comes tomorrow.  Hope it works.

    Just got a phone call from MM that he is off work today & we could meet for supper.  Nice idea.  Half way to town he called again.  His room mate had started a fire on their stove & MM had to be there.  Roommate is not on the lease so what ever what going to take place MM had to be there.  He is the leasee.  He never made it to eat with me.  Jalisco's was super busy.  I hoped he would make it but he did not.  The one girl has quit & moved to Nebraska.  So it was only MS & her husband.  They were running!  He even took my order.  And the cook delivered to me in person.  It was ok.  Did get time to visit with the 2 workers.  They are the best.

    Home now.  Time for photos.  Not too many.

04/2025 Fredag the 18th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Valdemar, Volmar

    I had a great day!! Even though I did not sleep well.  Plus I do not know what all happened during the night but I feel like I was in a fight with sore ribs.  Odd.  Probably just the cold front coming in today.  It stayed in the 50s here & cloudy.  Much better than yesterday.

    Lunch with LL at the White Peacock.  I had biscuits & gravy with an Italian cream soda vanilla flavored.  Great lunch with no stomach problems.

    While eating 8 motorcyclists came in.  They were trying to decide where to sit ---- there was no where.  I got the attention of one man & told him the next room had a large table.  It was perfect!  They stayed there for a long time.  When they finally left they talked for a long time by their bikes before leaving.  I have photos.

    Worked at the SVAFC today.  I had no time to get sleepy at all.  There were people in most of the afternoon.  It was great fun.  Good conversations with several ladies.  I recognized one lady who had a business in Salina many  years ago.  We recognized each other!  She remembered that I was a good customer!  I did shop there often.

    A couple of friends from Sweden came in.  Not seen them in many years.  I usually do not see them when they are here.  We had such a nice visit.  I have missed them.  He was my tour guide when I was there in 2000.  What a fun trip that was!!  The wife makes wonderful things & she had a nice gift for me.  I was so lucky to see them.  Made my day!!

    My afternoon was so pleasant & fun.  Better than the ones with no visitors!!!

    Supper was Mexican.  The last time I was there I "stole" a knife to use fixing the battery in a my key fob.  I returned it tonight so I am no longer a thief!!!! 😋

    While eating MM called & said he was in too much pain & needed something for supper.  He has diabetes like me & some side effects of it.  So I found out what he wanted & delivered it.  Hope he is feeling better.  Wish I could fix things.  I do what I can.

    There is some rain clouds in the area.  See if we get anything.  I can dream.

    I am tired of Easter things.  And Easter.  We always have the Messiah chorus at Easter.  This year it was the week before Easter.  Just does not seem right.  Time to move on.

    When I got home I took a very short nap.  Just kind of worn out.  Photos are mostly from today.

Today's birthday celebration at the American Legion. Grandson MM, his girlfriend KW, & their son SM, my great grandson.

Today's Name Day: Sigrid, Siri

(Today is Siri's name day!!!!)

    I had such a fun day!!  I slept pretty good.  They did not meet until 3pm so I slept in late.

    We met at the American Legion.  The usual sunday night crowd was there.  I even knew a 4 or 5 there.  One guy was great friends with my other grandson CF.  (He never years from him either.  I rarely hear.  And he rarely reads what I post.  I am worried about him.)

    KW made chicken enchiladas & cheesecake with chocolate  & caramel sauce over it.  I will pay her to cook for me.  Best meal ever!!

    One minor problem though (MAJOR).  I left my iPhone at home!!  I was lost!!  Thanks that others shared some photos they took.  I am planning to go there every friday as MM works on fridays.  Just fun to sit & people watch.  And get to chat a little,  And the KC Chiefs game was on today.  I am not a football fan but in a group it was fun.  Much better than sitting at home alone.

    I found a post card on of a house in Lindsborg.  I recognised it so I bought. it  It was the old funeral home.  And the house behind it is the house I grew up in until I was in junior high.  Loved that house.

    Great weather today.  The low was 67 & the high was 88.  Small breeze.  

    My depression really was bad last night.  I have it so it comes & goes.  And my RA does not help.  But right now I feel ok.
