02/2026 - Torsdagen den 12:e - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Evelina,  Evy

    Had a good day.  Lunch at Jalisco's with MM & Atlas.  He is sweet!!!  Hugs & fun visit.

    Then I went to wash my car.  Full of old mud.  Atlas went to the park to play & then home to make Valentine cards.  If I am lucky, I might get one!!!  Be the only one I get!!!  But a special one!

    Got home & decided to tackle getting my new desk in by the sofa.  Not as easy as I thought it would be.  But it finally went.  I need to adjust the sofa but that is another day.  I fell once & it was a half fall & no problem to get back up.  I have a small chair I sit on & it tipped over.  Thought I would be there all night.  Bad fall.  Took me forever to get turned & back up.  Work tomorrow is questionable.  Finally made it.  But had stuff that still had to be done.  Took trash out & flattened several boxes.  No where to put them at the moment.  The box the desk came in is huge.  Crammed it between the trash bins.  Maybe slip the flattened boxes there also..

    Came home last night & all my boxes were gone.  What a blessing!!  Saw KN at lunch today so I could thank him!!!!  And we had a nice chat.

    Sat outside for a while.  Quiet.  Only saw a hawk flying.  No cattle or deer or anything. No wind either.

    We have rain forecast for half an inch on friday through saturday.  Not enough.

    I am aching all over.  And have to fix supper.  No bueno.  Olympics soon.

09/2025 - Martes the 23rd - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Tea, Tekla

There was a Tekla living in Lindsborg years ago.  I remember that name.

    Not a wonderful day but not awful either.  The weather is affecting my RA, as it always does.  Did the same to MM yesterday.

    Had rain overnight.  Not much here.  Driving to Hutchinson KS yesterday was awesome.  The ponds are overflowing!!  Lots & lots of water.  And sunflowers.  🌻. We are better here but not wonderful.  Rain is forecast overnight here.  It is all in Colorado now.  With snow in the mountains now at around 9,000 feet high!  I am dreaming!!  ❆  🏔

    I had a nice nap until my glucose sensor woke me.  Could not read my glucose.  Must have had my hand/arm covering it.

    About time for supper.  I am sure I have spaghetti somewhere.  Will find it.  Wish somewhere in town served just pasta.  Pizza Hut used to have just spaghetti.  Not anymore.  They would even offer all you can eat.

    Good news.  Disney is letting Kimmel go back to his late night show.  We the people have spoken & they listened.  Yay!!!  Needs to happen much more often.

    Photos are autumn photos.  I prefer autumn to the word fall.  Have some local photos & some Kansas Prairie photos --- mostly from my driveway.

Love this foto.  I think in Burlington Colorado they have a very old merry go round,  They open the building sometimes to let it run,  I have not been there for that but only peeked through a crack in the doors.

09/2025 - Lunes the 15th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Ida, Ronja

I have known several Idas.

    Had a good day.  Today is MM's birthday so I took him out to lunch.  He chose the Sale BARn.  Good choice.  Our friend AA was working.  Great to see him.  He works several jobs plus has a girlfriend in Wichita.  But I know he cares & that is important.

    Had the popcorn shrimp basket.  Very good.  I was hungry.  After we ate the cook poured everyone a cocktail.  Really they were shots.  A chocolate Liquor with a Mint Liquor mix.  Tasted like a chocolate Andes after dinner mint.  My new fave.  Will order again!!  We all toasted MM!!

    I went home to nap.  Although I did sleep better last night.  I hoped to take trash out when I woke up.  But my glucose monitor beeped when I woke up.  Blood sugar was too low.  I skipped trash.  I know working that hard would just lower my sugar even more.  Not safe.  Plus my RA is raging with the changing weather.  MM offered to come help but can do that another day when it is cooler & I feel better.  Good to have some one who cares how I am.  He is a blessing.    I think I will take off this coming weekend for the SVAFC.  MH encouraged me to.  Been there a lot.  Need more rest.  Still having new pains from my accident.

    Warmer today.  Cooler tomorrow with rains in the afternoon & overnight.  Then a couple of dry days and rain next weekend.

    Photos are my usual mix but sort of sorted today.  Sunflowers are growing near my yard today.

My grandpa Boppa was born here.  All that is left  of the town.  It was located on a tall hill & the  trains had trouble getting in the town so it moved to a lower location.

We were all awake & up at 530am.  Took photos & made a collage.
