01 December, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    A bit of a better day.  Still have Willie on my mind.  My friend & cousin sent me a text with kind words about the anniversary of Willie's death.  No one else said a word.  I chose not to mention it on FB.  But I added a photo I created.  There were over 20 people who liked it.  Did they remember?  Maybe.  I was very surprised.  Very nice.  Really miss the good times we had.  And all those we have missed out on.

    Still very stressed.  There is no solution.  Sort of beating my head against a fence post.  And no one to talk to.  Hope tomorrow is better.  My anxiety pill did not help.

    Got my hair shampooed & styled today.  Always nice to be pampered.  HP is the best.  Wish we were friends but I would not fit in with his friends.  Good conversation & laughs!!  Plus I look good again!!

    On the way home I stopped at Arby's.  Got a beef sandwich, Coke, & apple turnover.  Perfect supper.

    What weather we have.  Not quite as cold but winds in the 40s or higher.  Threw my trash bins around.  Thankfully no trash in them.  I noticed some people in town have figured out a way to fasten the lids down.  Once the wind catches the lid it is all over.  Our old bins might have been smaller but they stayed shut.  Much warmer tomorrow.  In the 60s & windy.  Glad I am staying inside.  Then cooler.  No moisture until around thursday.

    Nico just had to go outside.  All he did was sniff at whatever animal was here to eat the cat food & water.  It is bitterly cold out & he is just running & chasing a scent.  I made him come in.  What a mess.  Last night we had a possum on the porch twice.  They are good to have around but Nico would just chase it.  He had to wait his turn.  Like a subway station here sometimes!

    Have a new app called Inspire.  It is an AI app.  It does some cool pictures.  I am sharing some I have done tonight.  You can find errors if you look.  And I learned it cannot spell!!  But I kept it.  I really like the snowy & foggy ones.  Fun to play.

                        

12 october, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    I had a good  & busy day!!!  Started a bit early.

    First my friend from Morocco needed some money sent to a business partner.  Morocco is hard to transfer money to & from.  So I helped.  Then Verizon put a hold on it.  Sheesh.  Then I was at work when I found out it was held.  I could not do anything then.  But the day got better.

    My boss at the Old Mill, LL, had two meetings today.  They were both in the basement so I could not do my work.  She wondered if I would be interested to work in the upstairs office taking care of customers.  I agreed!

    I usually go home at 4pm but today it was it 530!  It was fun!  I sold several things & checked two parties of campers into out camp ground.  And 3 people did tours.  I know I made errors but nothing that could not be fixed.  Next time will be better.  I like meeting people who come to visit out town.  And here the nice things they have to say.  At least I do not have to give tours.  It is a self guided tour.  Two buildings & an old town with authentic buildings, one of which was built in Sweden & donated to the college.

    The last man to come in was from Texas & rented a camping space.  We had a fun chat about farming, etc.  Before he left he actually told me I looked great --- hair is pretty, great makeup, nice scarf, & nice outfit.  Wow.  I told him he made my week.  Actually he made my month.  I am still beaming!  No one ever tells me I look nice like that.  A special moment.  Wish I had it on tape!!

    One of our new employees, AP, I do not know well.  We don't interact too often.  Today we actually joked with each other.  Nice moments.

    I had a phone call at work  It was Santa Claus!!!  Actually the man who plays Santa at Christmas at the Mill.  Sweet man!  Hope he sees that I get a gift but since we do not celebrate, my chances are pretty slim.

    Finally went home to take care of Nico.  Then back to get JR & head to Jalisco's for supper.  A nice realaxing supper.  Ahhhh.  JS was in a good mood even though he had some problems this morning.  We videoed at my work.  I worry about him.  Hope it all works out.  At supper he & I joked with a mutual friend on my phone.  Good evening.

    I have learned a new sentence.  I can now say in spanish "I will see you on friday".  Each new sentence is major for me.  I am a little slow so I should practice when in the car or somewhere alone.

    Really had nice weather.  Temps were 47F & 75F.  Wind really came up this afternoon.  We are in a fire warning area for a couple of days.  Cooler weather coming.  Great!

11 october, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Had a pretty good day.  Had to get up really early for my grandson to come here to check my water heater.  Got more sleep than I expected. 

    MK thinks he has it pretty much figured out.  While here I had him look at my back door that I cannot get open.  There was nothing broken on it but it was just stuck.  I never open or use that door but I will try to open it a couple of times a week.  And with getting a new water heater & needing my propane hooked up to my heater, the back door makes it all easier.

    I had some errands in town one of which was picking up groceries.  Food here again!!!  But I forgot cookies!!

    I had another low blood sugar reading so I am lowering my insulin a little.  I ordered some glucose tablets but they are gummies.  And they are delicious!!  Not sure how good they work but I will learn.

    Good weather.  Temps were 62F & 83F.  Winds have come up with the cold front getting near.  I like it as it keeps the bugs away.  But it puts us in a fire alert.  One would think people would know to be careful but that rarely happens.

    The box on my lawn chair seems to be Cinder's favorite place to sleep.  With our high winds the box was in danger of flying away.  I put something heavy in it.  With rain coming I might bring it in the house.  What we do for out "kids"!

    Photos today are of my winter birds from when I fed the birds.  I need to do that again but I need to decide where to do it.  Not close to the house because of mice.

    So sad to see how the Ukraine is treated but they are gaining.  And how women are treated in Iran.  I never understand how people can be cruel to others.  Russia is just scary for the entire world.  On Instagram I follow a opera singer who was shot many times.  He helped get people out of his country.  They thought he might not sing again, but he is singing great!

                

Wandering, 15 february 2022

    Not too exciting of a day.  Wish I had more energy.  Those days are most likely gone.  Or my basic laziness has taken over!

    The weatherman was correct about the wind.  It is roaring loudly.  Hate a south wind.  Everything outside rattles.  Think I need some tree branches trimmed.  Will ask a neighbour.  And he can check on my roof too.  He replaced it years back.  Maybe it is ready again.

    Again the weatherman has made a prediction of who gets snow tomorrow and thursday and who does not get a flake.  We are in the one inch range.  Be still my beating heart!!  South of us is 4 inches and 6 inches.  We must not be living right in this area.  North of us is worse.  They get nada.  Maybe a good thing as I have an appointment I do not want to miss.

    Cinder is getting friendlier.  She will sit on the ground and talk to me.  And as soon as I am inside she comes up to eat.  She is on the porch often.  She is either sleeping now or off hunting.

    The cattle are near.  Be fun when they start having calves.  Not for a while yet though.  Baby calves are so cute.  Especially when a group of them form a gang and run and play!  So cute!

    So far no extra RA pains with the coming cold front.  Sometimes I get lucky.  There is another snow event next week.

    Nico is just weird.  His "baby" goes where he goes.  At night he has to get it when we go outside.  But he drops it halfway there.  Why?  Sometimes he will grab an old treat to take outside.  Or a new one.  Then a couple of days later he brings it back in the chew on.

    Photos are from a couple of years ago when we actually had snow.  I know many are thrilled we have no snow but I love it.  I learned to never mention my love of winter and snow when out with friends.  Some people can get so ugly.
