10/2026 - Friday the 2nd - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Ludvig , Love

    Today was so-so.  No work on my heater.    Driveway was so so but to get near my back door where they need to go into my house was awful.  Very muddy.  Monday it will be & not so muddy.  Our low last night was 49F.  My blankets kept me warm.  The cats stayed in our bedroom.  This afternoon we all stayed in the bedroom. Very warm in there with the sun shining in.  Nice.

    I could not sleep last night.  Just not tired.  I was awake until 5am.  Then got some sleep.  I was not tired or restless.  Odd. 

    I got brave & shampooed my hair this afternoon.  I was scared the shower would be cold with no heat in the house, but it was ok.  I have some medicated shampoo that is both shampoo & conditioner.  Goes pretty fast.  Doesn't wear me out.

    Need some groceries.  Maybe tomorrow.  Or have JR run in for just what Cinder & I need.  I can go back on monday or tuesday for all what ever else I need.  See how I feel.

    I got one email today.  No one else texted me.  Or checked to see if I was ok without heat.

    Daisy has no clue not to "invade" anyone's peronal space.  Fun to watch her.  Cinder was laying on the back of her chair.  Daisy climbed up to curl up on the chair part.  Cinder just looked at her.  Maybe they all will become friends.  I hope.  Daisy sort of wants to go back outside but not in flooding weather.  She only follows me if I go the front door.

    Today is the anniversay of the plane crash in 1970 of WSU's football team.  Thirty one people died.  Such a sad thing.  Ended their foot ball program.  Once in a while you hear talk of starting again but it is just talk.  Would be great to have a team again though.

    Have a cozy hoodie on to keep warm tonight.  I lost my remote for my room heater but found it.  I have no clue how to run it without a remote.  Might turn it on later.

    Just got an email that that there is a meeting I need to go to on Monday at 3pm.  The company that works on my electrical stuff is due to be here monday between 1-3pm.  I have no heat.  I am not going to some last minute meeting & not get heat again.  Good grief!!!

10/2026 - Thursday the 1st - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Ragnar , Ragna

I have known one person named Ragnar.  Good Swedish name.

    Today was a so-so day.  I was awake until 4am.  Then I finally fell asleep.  Just was not tired.  No rain until this late morning.  I have had around 2.14" in rain.  LBK is 0.73".  In part of McPherson County & Marion County are under an emergency flood warning.  Super heavy rain there.

    My car port is a mess!  Acorn parts & leaves everywhere.  I swept it off.  I can walk to the car with clean shoes.

    Last night my heater started making a weird sound.  Scratching or rattling.  The cats froze in the hallway & all of them looked at ME!!!  Like I have a clue!!!  I turned it off.  Retried it at noon today.  HA!  Like it would heal itself.  Finally called my company that I always use,  Cannot come out today.  Too muddy!!!! Will try tomorrow or wait until monday.  See what happens.  Monday would be less muddy.  I have stuff to move out of the way.  And gather my cats.  Cinder will go hide in the kitchen.  Hope the other two are in our bedroom.  I can sit in there with them so they stay there.  Wanna take bets on whether I need an entire new unit?  My bet is I do.  Like I can afford that.  Damn.

    Had one email & after I wrote to MM he answered back.  Quiet day.  I am sure the  cats are sick of me talking to them.

    I put a cat toy in the hallway.  It has a couple of balls in it to make them go around the toy.  I watched Daisy.  As she walks by she will hit one ball or two.  That is as playful as she gets.

    I put away my muslim blankets & took out a warmer one.  Good move.  Very cool nights coming.  See if the cats snuggle with me!!!

    Supper time.  Need groceries.  Maybe saturday morning.  Or have JR run in for me for just some meat.
