Olive Garden

Today's Name Day; Elin , Helena

Had a cousin named Ellen Jewel.  She was a model at one time.  Knew several Helens.  I think Tiger Wood's wife was Elin,  Love that name.

    Today was a good day but busy.  And it kept me awake a lot last night.  Really stressed.

    I was up a bit early.  Got busy with feeding all my cats, scooping poo, dressing me.

    First stop was one bank in LBK.  I had money to move to a Salina bank.  Then picked up JR.  And off to Salina.

    Went to a bank in Salina.  Across the street was JR's cellphone company.  They were a mess with his phone.  Threatened to end his phone.  Said my credit card was not working.  Only one I have.  It does work all the time.  Two places had trouble getting it to work & then it did.  Go figure.  I do not like where he gets his phone.  But they got him straighened out.  Hope all is ok now.  I did not go to work.  I made JR the problem needing a ride to Salina!!  😀 To go across the street I had to drive several blocks.

    There was a girl sitting & waiting for her phone.  I have learned not to judge anyone,  She was a bit overweight.  Turned out she was so nice!  And we knew someone she is related to on FB.  Great conversation!  Glad to have met her.  Made the time speed by.

    Next we had supper.  JR never has an opinion.  But he knew I liked Olive Garden & we had not been there for a long time.  I love their salmon.  Awesome..  Must go back soon.

    Then took JR home then me.   Daisy now knows my car.  She heard me & was sitting on my bench waiting for me.  

    Came in  & did my Spanish & now my blog.  Ready to lay in bed & rest.  Heard from MM early today.  No body else.

09/2025 - Viernes the 05th - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Adela, Heidi

I have a cousin in Washington state name Adela.  The owner of Jalisco's has a daughter Adela.  A local family have a daughter named Heidi.

    

    I had a good day.  Finally.  I slept fair.  Cinder cuddled from 6am until I got up.  Nice.

    I met LL for lunch at the White Peacock.  MM needed a ride to downtown plus my umbrella.  He walked with me inside.  Nice to have someone worry about me.  I was scared to death today.

    LL & I had a nice lunch & visit.  It is nice on fridays that it is just her & me.  We can discuss work with no one to hear our opinions.  Nice moments.  While we were eating, MH came in for lunch.  He was soooo excited that his art show starts today.  He asked if I am ready!!  I can hardly wait to see it all tomorrow.

    After LL left for work, MM returned to give me my umbrella.  And help me to my car.  After getting to my car without incident, my strong feelings of fear left.  MM is the best!!!  He was off to Salina & some shopping.  He got a bright red Chiefs  shirt.  Nice one.

    Lots of texting between CW & me also.  He is a nice friend.  I am so lucky.  I got this week's newpaper with a huge article about my artist friend RG.  Cannot wait to read it all.  And a delivery guy came to the Old Mill.  He is an artist that I know.  Had a great visit.  He is a fantastic artist.

    Work was good.  I finished the photos I was working on.  Then the next bunch I sorted by size & added names of those I know.  There were some special people in them.  Two Swedish people I remember so well.  One was a great man who was the head of the Stockholm opera.  I spent some nice time with him.  The other was a nice lady I ate almost daily lunches with her & another Swede.  Her daughter was an actress who was up for a movie award like our Oscar.  And we got to see her film.  Great memories.  I actually got started scanning them.

    Then JR & I ate at Jalisco's.  It looks awesome!!  A lady & her daughter who used to live here are back & working in Jalisco's.  She saw me walk in & came to give me a huge hug!!  I was surprised & she made my week!!!  Great to see her!!  I am glad she is here.  We will take care of her here.

    The Bethany College mens soccer team had a match today in Nebraska.  And they won 5-0.  Wow!!! Awesome.  Great start to the year.  Have to try to go to a match or two.

    Home now & tired.  Bed will feel good.

    Photos are many autumn pictures, Halloween, & others.  I love the autumn colors.  Today was heaven.  Our high was around 60F.  Almost cold!!  Rained from 3am until 430pm.  Did not get much but it was awesome weather.
