Today's Name Day:  Lennart, Leonard

Had a relative named Leonard.  Died a few years ago.  Still a Leonard in town.

    A good day.  Spent the afternoon at the SVAFC for the last day of MH's showing of his art.  My friends C&N came for the talk.  And MH is a great speaker. He had everyone laughing!!  Friend CG had the giggles so bad but a man next to him was worse.  I looked at him & his head was buried in both his hands --- laughing so hard!!!  Then *I* got the giggles.  What great fun!!  I needed some laughter.  CG was so nice to me.  He made sure I got to my car & in to Pizza Hut ---- held my hand & walked with me.  Helps me so much.  And back to my car.  And they did not leave the parking lot until I was in my car.

    Pizza Hut was fun.  I had a sallad.  But not too hungry.  I had meat balls before the art talk.  Excellent meat balls!!!

    When I got home there was a turkey vulture on my light pole in the back yard.  Not seen many this summer.  Miss them.

    By this time my back was severely sore.  I laid down to take a short nap.  But is was shorter than I planned.  My glucose sensor woke me up.  😠.  I gave up & here I am.

    MM is home today watching football & cooking.  Think he had a friend visiting.  CW drove to Florida today so I have not heard from him.  He returns home soon.

    My heart us still hurting.  May never stop.  Will never talk about how I feel.  Never.  I write about it.   And in this day & age few people care only for themselves.  I will depend on my small support group as needed ---- MM, CW, C&N.  I am blessed.  I know they will never hurt me.

    Finished watching National Geographic channel about Europe.  Now watching about New Zealand.  Have family there.  Part Maori & part Swedish.  Fun to see their  country.  Wish I could have visited.  Still in contact.  I used to know a couple of words in their language.  Kia ora  --  used as a greeting or when parting to express good will toward someone or to wish them good health.

    My spanish is easier lately.  I am enjoying it.  There is a guy on Instagram who posts sentences in spanish daily.  I save some of them.

Leaves are starting to turn,  With our drought I wonder how pretty they will be this year????

02 april, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Great weather day! Calm & warm. Sat out with the fur kids a couple of times.  I had to save Cinder before eating out.  The mean orange cat was here.  I made sure she went in the house for safety.

    The bad part of today is how hot my house is.  At least 80F inside.  Not good.  And worse.  My AC does not cool.  Will call them tomorrow.  IT. IS. ALWAYS. SOMETHING.  Sure gets old.  Be tough to sleep tonight.  And none of our window work.  All are stuck.  Willie never fixed them.  😪

    Poor sleep last night so no Jalisco's today.  JR & I went to Salina tonight to eat at Burger Theory in the Holiday Inn.  JR loves burgers & that is all they have.  I got a burger with cheese, BBQ sauce, & topped with a fried egg.  A fave of a friend from Australia.  I love it also.  It was nice there.  Clean & quiet.  Started getting busy when we left.

    JR moved my trash bins nearer the house & one box of trash outside was heavy.  I will carry all the bags outside tomorrow.  They are light.

    This afternoon I saw a large heron (bird) sitting by my pond.  Wish I had had my camera with me.  So far from the house.  Wish one would nest here.

    Tonight when I got home there was a turkey vulture in one of my backyard trees.  The first one here.

    When I almost got home tonight, my neighbour KP was mowing the ditch on the road, so I stopped so we could chat.  He is one of the nicest guys I know.  Known him forever.  Used to go out to dance clubs with him & several others.  What fun days.  Oh, to go back for just one more night.

    Photos tonight are from a bus trip to Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, & many national parks.  I should share then more.  Have to do that.  It was the best bus trip I have ever had but it was with one of the worst travel partners ever.  That ended our relationship.  Her loss.

                    

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 384....

 

Oh, what a day. I tried to do some house work. I cannot just pick up or empty trash. Not today. Both Fur Kids were in and scattering as fast as they could. I am sure they got tired of me yelling. Now at 1:30 both are asleep

.

JR is coming out today. He is doing his laundry. Meant I actually had to get MY washing out of the washer!

I have boxes gathered to give to J R2. With gale force winds again I had to almost tie them down on the porch. Rain comes tomorrow and Wednesday. Maybe.

On the way to town a turkey crossed Burma Road in front of me. Love them.

JR and I ate at Jalisco's. JS even had a treat for me!

When I got back home there were 2 turkey vultures in my tree. Cool. And the cattle were eating near my house.

Always be kind. And wear a mask.
