Sunset last evening.  The sun was huge & gorgeous!

Today's Name Day:  Reine, Reinhold

    Had a bad night but a good day.  I could not sleep.  Awake until 6am.  Then up around 930am to get ready for work.  Woke with a headache but got better.

    First day at the Old Mill in a week.  I finished the photos of kids at the state capitol.  Not many of them but took forever with 3 to 5 names on each photo.

    Started a new bunch of photos at work.  They are the most boring photos so far.  Lots of kids or adults & no one knows who they are.  Where they are is boring.  There was one photo of some pieces of art.  Liked it. There was one piece that is called a tin star.  I know several artists who make them.  A second photo really caught my attention.  Fell in love with it.  And the more I looked at it I realised the name of it was written as part of it, the artist, & when it was created.  It says " From Lidkõping (Sweden) by Birger Sandzén 1892".  Made a couple of copies & shared one on Lindsborg Nostalgia.

    I was just too tired to go out for supper.  Came home after work.  Did not even try to nap.  Blood sugar was falling so I just fixed some supper.  Nothing fancy.  Too tired to cook.  I thought of taking something home for supper.  Or even going to the Öl Stuga.  Too tired.  Just came home.

    There are no cattle here anymore.  I sure miss them.  One reason I hate summers.  Cattle& calves are far from home.

    Weather was awful today.  Humid & I saw 99F.  Felt awful outside.  Cool tonight & tomorrow.  Then hot & humid again ---- all next week.

    There is a big fire in the Grand Canyon.  The smoke arrived here yesterday.  My eyes have felt like there is gravel in them.  Nothing helps.  Glad I see my eye doctor this month.

    The TV acted up last night.  Ch12 had trouble streaming their network.  Then I was watching a tv show while doing my Spanish lesson.  It was miserably difficult.  Then my electricity quit for a few seconds.  Had to restart my TV show & I had to restart my lesson.  I dreaded having to redo it all over again.  BUT.  It was different & much easier.  I had few errors.  Made me smile.

    This evening Cinder is sitting on the room heater watching the outside.  And she is looking braced for an attack,  No idea what is out side but she looks no where else.  And then my tv quit again due to weather.  No storms here or clouds.  Odd.

Sunday, October 18, 2020 Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 217......

 Busy day!! Mostly good. Started my day in Salina seeing my eye surgeon. My last appointment!! Yay! But on the way there, my car alerted me I had a very low tire. I had groceries to pick up but cancelled.

I called Assaria and they had time to see me. Got my tired fixed in short order. Had a nail in it.

Had NO sleep last night so I took a nap at home.

Later I picked up my brother. He gathered my trash to put in the bins. Then we ate at Jalisco's. They were quiet so had lots of time to chat with MA. JS came in later and we chatted and took photos! A good evening.

Stayed pretty cool today. Chances for rain in a couple of days. Not holding my breath. Slight warm up but then cold again.

Photos mostly from today. The 3 kittens is an old photo. That is Kisse in the middle with her 2 siblings. Both of them did not survive the great outdoors. They were both sweet. Fun to have 3 little ones come running to see me!

      

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 187....

Pretty good day! And great weather. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Need rain though. No chance for at least 10n days.

I got cold last night. Had to put on socks and an extra blanket. Just could not warm up.

Met JR2 at the Peacock for tea/coffee. Had a nice talk with no men present! Good to have girlie talk. They were a little busy.

Supper was at Jalisco's with JR, JR2, her friend R, and me. They got very busy. Good conversation. Good food.

Good company and conversation and laughs with JS makes for a nice day. And I am feeling more like me --- red hair, makeup, and no glasses. Wish I had more days like this. 

If your town has a mandate that masks must be worn in public and the restaurant you are in has a sign requiring a mask, does that mean to simply just carry a mask in or to actually wear it. Just asking.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 184....

Had an OK day. Supposed to see my therapist but she called and is sick so she cancelled and was on her way home. Hopefully nothing serious.

My granddaughter who has Covid is mostly over it. She is no longer quarantined but her son who is not ill must be quarantined for 2 weeks. Hopefully he is ok. 

Still having hip pain, etc. It is what it is. No more to say.

Worked on genealogy this afternoon. I know on Dad's side there are some family buried in Wichita. I have been to see them. But I found that some of his family is buried in Jewel KS and Manhattan KS. Jewel is about 90 minutes away. And in Manhattan I have not been to that cemetery. Two road trips.

I went 24 hours without  a Pepsi from simple laziness. Drinking one now. Mmmm. My one true addiction.

I got a very pleasant shock just now. I have needed my glasses to read. Well, my laptop was a bit blurry. I figured my glasses were dirty. Nope. I can see!!! Very cool!! I can read sort of clear on my cell phone also. Now to sleep without the shield and wear makeup and life is good!
