Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 349....

 

Today was OK. Warm with no wind. Nico and I sat outside for a long time.

I cancelled one appointment today. No reason other than I was not in the mood. At this stage in life I can do what I want. No questions.

I got groceries late afternoon. So easy. Today from Whites. Some times I use Dillons. Good to have bread and lunch meat!

Stray dog visited again. He must walk on our porch. Nico sniffs everywhere. Hope he belongs to the neighbors. Not sure I need another pet.

I am addicted to 'Maine Cabin Masters. Love watching all they do. Wish they would come here!! The crew seem nice! And they are all funny!

I gathered most of my trash in bags. I need to tackle my husband's office. I started a bag of stuff that was scattered on the floor. Trash can is stacked high. Maybe have JR carry out as I fill trash bags. No fun cleaning up from someone who had dementia and was an alcoholic. A challenge for me. How he must have suffered.

My friend who is moving needs boxes. I have been saving some really large ones. Trunk of my car almost would not close! Glad to be rid of them.

Feeling better. Taking long enough. Still extra tired. No more pain in the arm that got the shot. How bad will the next be?

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 348....

 

Had a nice day. Less wind and warm. Awoke to my crows near my house and having a chat with each other. Tonight there are young bunnies running in my back yard.

I was excited to text with a good friend who was traveling and was sick in a hospital. Today he is back in his country and looks great. I miss him. Glad he is ok.

During last night I kept getting notices from one of my safety cams about movement. Nothing ever showed. Then finally there was a collie looking dog. Probably from one of our neighbours. He caused no problems.

Today I have few pains. Little headache. Still extra tired. Glad to be better.

Had more photos of my great grandsons. Working on a collage to share. They sure brighten my day.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 316......

 Well our 5" - 12" of snow was not one flake. All went NE. Got snow over- night but amounted to nothing. Is pretty out today. It got really cold last night. Down to 18 F. Gratefully we had to wind! Maybe more snow tonight. Ha.

Bought a few groceries before therapy. Therapist KF had her dog with. He is the brown dog in my photos today. He is a sweetie.

Took Nico out around 6AM. And surprised that JS was answering a text I sent. Good way to start the day- laughing!

After therapy I called Js. He said he was with MA. As we talked, MA parked next me. Told JS to look out his window! We were looking at each other! Odd!

Later JS called from Salina and he needed a ride. His car is in the shop. We ran errands then I took him home. I am on call this week if he needs a ride. Offered to get him for work - at 6am! I laughed and said no. Not until 10Am!

At home my nephew is burning piles of branches. Two other Farmers were doing the same thing. Nice quiet day but very cold.

I have seen a few flakes of snow a couple of times today and this evening. They say up to 3". HA.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 225......

 In quarantine for 7.5 months. I have no hope of it ending within my lifetime. Just adjust. And not let myself reach out to strangle those too dumb to wear a mask, social distance, and wash their hands.

Home alone today. No motivation to do anything. My bouquet of spoons ran out early. Read about the Spoon Theory.

We had snow but dang little. Lindsborg had more than my farm. Early this morning it was coming down so prettily. Should have taken a photo. It did stay very cold. Saw 21F during the night. Now it is 26F. They say we might break records tonight. We are forecast in the teens. I have my water dripping. No real wind though.

I just video chatted with JS. I was curious about the roads. Said they are ok. I teased him yesterday that there would be 3 inches of ice.. I thought he knew I was joking!!

Tonight both of my birds are back. The female changed her bed. maybe she was here last night.  I like them.

Took Nico out after our nap. There were huge dog foot prints on the cement. Looked at one of my cameras. There was a large dark red brown dog in my yard. Probably from the welding shop north of me.  JS described it to me. Did not bother anything.
