My mom's birthday today. She was always proud her birthday was on the first day of spring almost every year. Sure miss her friendship.
Today's Name Day: Bengt
Bengt is a special name for me. A swedish cousin I stayed with him & his family for over a week. He passed away recently. Loved him.
Had a wonderful day. Slept good. Weather overnite was ok. Little wind then or today. Think wind gets worse on saturday/sunday.
My day started with lunch at the White Peacock with LL. Good conversation. It was quiet in there. The table next to us I had not paid much attention to. And I should have! One of my fave artists & her husband sitting there. Her name is Shin-hee Chin. Look. up about her & her art at https:/www.fibreartstaketwo.com. Check her art out It is fibre art. Amazing what she can do with thread. I had missed her last time here in town. Too much snow & I do not always feel good. But we had a great visit & many hugs!! Made my day.
My next stop was SVAFC. MH unlocked for me. Always a good day if I get to see him. We had talked about this week's newpaper. Has a huge article about the Old Mill Museum & our photo digitizing program that I am part of. They even mentioned my name. Special for me. I got to my car & here came MH & he had bought me a paper. Very sweet for him. Feeling special twice in one day!!!
I worked all afternoon & only had 3 visitors right before closing. Tons of people walked by but no one entered. Too bad. The step son of one of our managers of the gallery came in. Knew a lot about him but not sure we had met. Had a great visit. Fun to meet him.
Picked JR up & took a short drive before supper. A couple of new houses being built. Only knew about one. At Jalisco's there are 2 new workers. One of our waitstaff has moved away with his wife & daughter. I miss them. But we now have a new clean up lady & her husband works in the kitchen. She is very nice.
Jalisco's was super busy. We wanted ice cream (nieve) for dessert. But MA was running. I dared not have eye contact with him!!! He finally as he ran by asked if we wanted nieve & one or two!!! And I said no hurry. It was worth the wait!!!
The ill family member finally answered my texts. He was much more positive & friendly. I am glad. Maybe I did not piss anyone off. Nice to find out how he is doing. Has a new diagnosis & new meds. Feeling better. I am relieved!
Cinder is always glad when I get home after a long day. They actually ate a bit while I was gone.
They tell you instead of collecting "triggers" to collect "glimmers" & I do. Today was a record setting day! Makes for a good day.
