8/2026 - Saturday the 8th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Roland

    Today will be the usual home alone day.  I sent 3 messages to friends last night.  Only one has answered.  And in FB I posted a note that I finally had lunch out with a friend.  One who liked that note is one of the 4 group.  Must still be talking about me.

    The weather last night stayed sort of cool.  Good sleeping.  Now at noon here it is already 95.6F.  No breeze to speak of.  Horrible heat is starting.  Next week will be painful.

    TV sucks today.  Nothing good to watch.  I do have things saved I need to turn to them.

    I did get some good TV news.  SNL starts the last weekend in September.  Great!!!  Earlier than usual!!! I am ready!!

    Daisy is not eating as much as usual.  I tried some dry food & she liked it better.  She is making me stressed & so is the awful mess outside.  Super stress.  Makes my blindness worse.  I walked in the hallway last night.  That was scary & odd.  No one knows or cares.

    I took out some old glasses last night.  They almost all fit much better.  I have had my current glasses adjusted several times.  Still cannot see.  Three of my old ones are perfect.  I cannot find the one I wanted.  Who knows where it is. I remember it gave me a headache.  Maybe should get new lenses in one of these pairs.  See if that helps.

    Today I am healing me for a day.  After monday's doctor appointment my life should return to normal.  Key word is "should".

    The cats were chasing each other last night.  And managed to unplug several cords for charging online things.  Idiots.

01/2026 - Tisdag the 06th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day,  Baltsar, Kasper, Melker

    Had a great day.  Slept good.  Pretty quiet though.  Several texts from MM.  Email from JL.  That was it.

    Had a list of things I wanted to do depending on how I felt.  Got it all done although one place had moved.  But found it ok.

    After lunch I drove to Salina  to pick up my new glasses.  I really like them.  Sturdier than the ones I have been wearing.  And a great color.  Very similiar to the pair I broke when I fell.

    Then off to Verizon to get a new iphone with lots of storage.  Had a nice guy help me.  He said the Iphone I have should be ok.  Well it is not.  I am always low on memory.  Take 3 photos & memory gone.  Then he tried to talk me into one with hardly any more storage.  I insisted I wanted one with  1 or 2 terabytes of memory.  He finally let me order one I wanted.  Gees.  Should not be so hard to get what I want.  He ordered me one & will be here in a week or so.  And the one I wanted is on back order.  No one wants those puny storage ones now.

    Too damn hot today.  Saw 65F at least.  How was an oven when I got home.  AC is on now but the temp is not moving.  It is 60F outside but stays at 76F in the house.

    Both cats were hiding when I got home.  No idea where they were sleeping.

    Weather is on now.  See how accurate they are.  Rain, then snow.  I am not excited yet.  They lie too often.

    Not in the mood for nasty comments on my group on Face Book,  Our Chinese restaurant is struggling to survive.  Good food but hard to get help.  Need repairs  in the kitchen now.  Not one supportive comment.  I deleted the snarky ones.  Too much negative stuff in life today.  I am sure it does not win me any friends.  Tough.

    Photos are snowy.  I keep hoping it will happen here.

Wintry AI me again.  I used to have my hair all blonde.  Hard on it.  Then switched to red.  And eventually added red streaks.

Today's Name Day:  Assar

    Better day than my night..  Had no sleep until around 7am.  Got a couple of hours of sleep & a nice cozy nap with Cinder the entire nap time.

    I got brave & checked the water in the back bathroom & all was well.  So shampoo time it was.  Styling was a struggle today.  Usually easy to do.

    Stayed below freezing until morning.  Our high was 56.  House is chilly.

    My skin is beyond flaky.  From my Sjögren's Syndrome.  No amount of lotion or oil helps.  And having the heat on dries out my skin also.  Sjögren's dries out my entire body ---- skin, eyes, mouth, & more.  Dry & itchy.

    Christmas week is forecast to be super dry here & far too warm.  My weatherman is so excited for 60s to 70s.  Not me.  Where is my winter???   One has even said after the winter solstice then winter is over.  )-;  Again, where is my winter???

    My cousin from Denver called last night.  Talked for well over an hour.  She has been very ill but doing ok now.  Hope that continues.  I remember when Mom's one sister was dying while Mom was in the nursing home.  She demanded I take her to Denver.  Not possible.  She was unable to dress herself or anything.  She yelled at me.  I felt so awful but no choice.  And now I am in her position.  I want to go to Denver so bad to see family but I cannot drive that far or drive in that big of a city.  I cry just thinking about it.  There is no one to help me.  I doubt any one I know even cares how I feel.  

    I have new glasses to pick up & I planned on thursday.  But the winds are supposed to be 50 mph or higher.  I might cancel again.  Not fun or safe.

    I remember a couple of years ago we had winds of 100 mph.  I drove home in it & a large fuel tank was rolling around my yard.  It finally stopped by my car port.  I got Nico to go potty & he saw that tank & ran back inside!  Terrified!!  Poor baby!!

    Heard from JL with many family photos & cookies.  Text from CW.  MM wrote he is off to a basketball game tonite.  Lucky him.  I almost never have any where to go for fun.  Sigh.  Only others get fun.  Nothing from anyone else.  Typical.
