Today's Name Day:  Elof, Leif

    Another quiet day.  Ignored by most.  I have stayed quiet.  Helping out MM tomorrow.  Same for JR.  See how tomorrow plays out.

    Had a thunderstorm last night.  I got 0.45"  & high winds.  Stayed cooler today.  Loved it.  Cooler tomorrow also.  More rain next weekend.  Leaves the 4th alone but around that day.  I really do not care.  Ignoring the holiday.  I have no family or friends to celebrate with.  No where to work.  Just staying home.  Not even lunch out.  I double checked with LL but she is eating out in the evening of the 4th.  I will not mention it again.  Holiday & I am left out.

    I found a purse I forgot I had so I switched today,  Very colorful!!  Even has my tattoo design on it.

    Rest of my day was nothing,  I tried to take a short nap but I failed.

    I shampooed my hair & styled it a bit straighter.  It is ok.  I am loving my new shampoo & rinse.  They smell good & my hair feels good,

    Cats quiet today.  I bought some plugins for gnats, etc.  I added one in my bedroom. The only plug in there is between my bed & the wall..  Has a bright blue light.  Cats were very curious all last night,

National Feral Cat Day

Today's Name Day is Finn

    What a day!!  Did not sleep much so I slept today.  And there were dozens of people here!  So Nico barked!  Two mail deliveries, 2 four wheelers, large load of bulls put in the pasture, etc.  I had a delivery I thought I needed to sign for.  But I made an error in my order.  Now fixed & will come later this week.

    I ordered a mask for Nico so I do not get bit.  What a joke that was.  A piece of crap.  No way I could ever get it on him.  Cheap crap.  I had another idea so I tried that.  That was a major error.  I got bit so bad.  Won't say more.  Called my vet.  She would not even talk to me.  The mask they use is awesome but they do not sell anything so nice.  Told me to just walk around Salina looking for what I want.  I was crying when I called & no one sounded very caring.  Ordered one from Amazon.  Hopefully it will work.  Nice to get some support when I needed it.  Ha.

    Trash tomorrow.  I have a ton of boxes that I have not been able to trash due to wind.  Today I moved my bins to either side of a tree.  I piled the boxes in between them. They are tightly packed in. One bin is all trash, the other smaller boxes.  Feels good.  Might have a little wind but hopefully not strong.

    I had a class reunion last saturday night.  But after working & with the stress I have, I just went home.  The group who helps plan these all hear from many classmates, but I hear from no one.  When we graduated, I lost all my friends.  They went their way & I got married.  And forgotten.  Oh well.  One classmate called & said I was missed.  I do not feel missed.  Hope I feel better when we have another one so maybe I can go.

03 august, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

     Slept so-so.  Not bad.  Had to be up early.  Cinder cuddled with me for a while.  Nice.

    Today I had my hair trimmed & styled.  Nice to be pampered.  Just seeing Henry is good.  Such a nice person.  Will look good for a few days!

    After my hair, I went to Dillons to pick up groceries.  They almost always have what I want or they offer a substitute & I chose if I want it or not.  Better than ordering 3 bags of food but only getting 1 bag.

    Last night after going to bed I could see lightning SW of me.  It kept moving & was over my house.  And moved on.  I could see distant flashes for hours.  With all that, we got nary a drop of rain.  Then this morning we had a tiny shower.  Plus on the way home from Salina there was rain in Assaria, but not where I live.  Tonight chance of severe storms.  Nothing yet.

    Cooler today.  Only 92F.  It was pleasant out a while ago.  Nice breeze.  They said the super hot weather is not going to be here next week.  I hope they are correct.

    Heard from no one today.  Not even my grandsons.  Busy I guess.  My oldest great grandson has a birthday today.  Busy with him.

 National Ice Cream Sandwich Day

    Slept good & up early.  Morning went well.  Gotta watch half of my one soap opera.  In Mexico they are called novelas.

    Worked at the Old Mill today.  It was a good day.  The new scanner had a small glitch today.  Only sometimes, but I found a work around.  Easy.  We worked but had some laughs.  I love being there.

    Had a very short rain shower early this morning.  Very short  But the clouds all morning kept the temp down to 97F.  Felt ok today.

    I had a surprisingly good day today.  I have had really bad pain for a week at least.  Hard to turn in bed.  I slather on tons of pain killing lotion.  But today I walked normal, walked up & down the basement steps like a normal person.  No lotion.  Amazing.  I told no one.  What I do or don't do seems not to matter.  But I am happy.  Hope it lasts a while.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  I splurged & had carne asada.  I usually do not feel good enough to eat that but today I did.  Love steak.  And we ended up our meal with a snow cone.

    I had to be at my bank this noon before work.  I had extra time so I washed the car.  Looks better.  Feels better.

    Nico's collar is new & too large.  So even if it is tightened, it loosens.  I ordered a new one.  Still too large!  Ordered an XS one.  Comes on saturday.  He slipped out of it after work.  He came back pretty fast.  Hope the new one coming fits.  Maybe I should put his old one on for now.

30 june, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    I had no sleep last night.  Nada.  I finally gave up around 7am & got up.  Shampooed my hair & styled it.  Then read my emails, etc.  Got a couple of hours of sleep before lunch.

    Before my afternoon nap my stomach got upset.  Not the worst it has been but unpleasant.  I took some stomach meds & went to sleep.  When I got up it was about the same but I did get some sleep.

    I had my heart set on Swedish pancakes for supper but cancelled.  I always feel guilty when I do something just for me.  Like I should only do for others.  Does seem to be like that often.  But there is no way I would go out to eat in public feeling like I did.

    I am now in a severe storm forecast for about 6 hours.  Awesome clouds outside to the SW.  See if we actually get something.

    I played doctor last night & put my arm/shoulder symptoms on Amazon.  I feel like my rotator cuff is torn but it is not.  If it was I would really be suffering.  My RA doctor has checked it.  They have a brace & I ordered it.  Comes sunday.  Hope it helps.

    Kisse was sitting by a window with trees.  A little bird came zooming in towards the window & landed on a near branch!  She thought she was dead!!  She ducked & stayed hunched over!  Gave her something to think about & look at!

    I ordered new cheap shoes just to wear just at home.  They came today.  I like them!  I am sharing a photo of them.  I might even wear them when I eat out!

    Nico was good until tonight.  He just cannot let me write my blog in peace.  He stole shoes & socks.  He cannot chew up things I use.

    Tomorrow my bestie JS gets married.  Just writing it brings tears to my eyes.  I should be there.  He plans to call me tomorrow sometime.  Very nice of him.  If I only had a normal life I would be there, but I know of no one who really thinks about how I feel.  I am the giver to others.  Does not always work in my favor.  JS hopes I can come see him later.  I doubt it.  Maybe by bus or train.  Won't be by car.  HA! 😡

    I went to get the mail & when I got back to the house a turkey vulture came swooping in to the back yard to his spot on the top of a light pole.  Maybe the king.  They are cool birds.

27 june, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Last night was ok.  I was mostly just restless.  No reason for it.  Pain was better.  Just one arm hurt.

    Something tipped one of my trash bins over during the night.  Dang.  Wild animals never surprise me.  Trash guys picked most of it up.  I am sure they were thinking "not my job!"

    Just a quiet day.  Just home.  I should have went to the pharmacy but will go tomorrow.  Go to work a bit early.  Need fuel also.

    Much cooler today & low humidity.  And cloudy with a nice breeze.  Had a chance for rain just now but it missed us.  Tomorrow we are over 100F.  I can hardly wait.  I hate summer.
