08/2025 - Sábado the 2nd- JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Kajsa, Karin

Known both Kajsas & Karins.  Had a teacher name Karin.  Had a dog named Kajsa.

    Had a good day.  Just too tired.  Slept good all night.  Still my usual pain.  Never quits.

    Worked at the Old Mill.  Really busy so LL worked upstairs.  Not time to chat much.  Won't see her again for a week.  But she will have fun family time!!

    I finished the photos I was working on.  Good.  I sorted through some loose photos and stuff in the box of photos I have.  There were some stuff not to scan so there is a MISC collection.  There were several to scan.  Have 3 left to finish next week,  Kind of know what I am doing next.  There are several large envelopes with photos, etc in them.  And somehow they are all hooked together at the bottom..  Will leave them & rename in a unique way.

    Today there was a large car show in town.  Almost 200 cars there.  When I went to work I drove by the Stuga.  They were packed!!  No parking on that block!!!  Supper was better.  If I was not so tired I would have stopped for supper.  Just came home.

    There was an earthquake near town.  People really felt it.  I did not.  I was in my car.  Wonder if my cats felt it?

    Wonder if my paved road is open yet?  I like driving by or through the cemetery every day but it takes twice as long. 

    Cool day.  High in the mid 80s.  Low last night I think got down to 59.  Awesome.  Rain coming tonight.  Have to go out to bring a couple of things in.

05/2025 Måndag the 26th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

Today's Name Day:  Vilhelmina, Vilma

Knew at least one Wilma.

    I got next to no sleep last night.  Tired today.  Have had rain.  Southern & western Kansas have gotten up to 4 inches or more of rain.  I got a measely half inch.  We always get left out around here.

    I have many bags of trash to take out but it rained most of the day.  I gave up to nap.  But woke up early & rain has stopped for now.  Carried the bags out.  Great!!!  Knocked my blood sugar down but had a snack.  Should be ok.

    Just read that in Liverpool England there was a parade for the Liverpool soccer team in the Premier League victory parade.  It was an open top bus victory parade.  A car ploughed in to the parade & crowd.  The car sped up before he hit the crowd.  How sad.  The driver was arrested.  I love soccer so extra sad for me.  Unknown if anyone was injured or not.  Too soon.

    Think the Memorial Day events took place today.  Good.

    Heard from CF.  Nice family time for him.  I cannot remember times with family.  Too many years.  No family time with Mom's family.  There are gatherings but we are never included.  And I cannot be included in Willie's family stuff.  Makes me sad.  There is one person who has caused a lot troublel on both sides.

    I am glad Willie's grave is not vandalized.  Same person does that too with a helper.

    Stayed really cool today.  In the 50s & sort of foggy with rain.  My favorite weather.  Wish it would happen more often & forget those awful 90s days.  Hot weather makes me feel sick.

    There is a fly irritating me while I key.  I have bug spray but he won't sit still long enough.

    I even have supper planned.  Mac & cheese.  Love it!!

This is a photo of an old old building that was in my family.  The Fair Store.  I need to find our more info about it.  Part of Trains Brothers in it.  Sold hardware & implements.  Does not exist any more.  Near where Mom grew up.

003/2025 Onsdag the 19th - Wandering & Capturing Moments.

 

Today's Name Day:  Josef, Josefina

Josefina is a very special name to me.  We had a border collie named Kajsa Jo.  I sometimes called her Josefina.  She was so special.

    Our blizzard day.  We got lots of wind ---- gusts up to 60mph.  Had a mix of rain/snow then just snow.  Did not amount to much.  About an inch of snow with moisture content of 0.24".  Won't halp our drought even a little.

    I slept late.  Both cats did also.  Cinder never left our bedroom until after our nap.  Soo lazy!!

    I surely did not need a nap but I took one anyway.  Probably something to do with the weather & my health.  Went to the bedroom & both cats were in bed.  Both!! I managed to lay down & not upset Kisse.  Cinder just moves & then finds a new comfy place.  Great nap.  A blizzard nap!

    I went to get the mail.  Cold!! Windy!!  But Larry & Coco were near my house in the pasture.  I made sure I had my camera.  When I first stopped near them they looked at me.  But no matter what I said later they ignored.  How rude!!  😁  Sharing a collage photo of them later.

    I had something new for supper.  A cheese, egg, & sausage burrito.  It was pretty good.  Forgot I had them.  Need to eat newer things.  And I had powdered sugar donuts arrive today.  Great dessert!

    Our weather stayed in the low 30s today.  After my nap the temp was almost 40 so no snow remained.  Probably the last snow for me.  Only heat to look forward to now.  😦

    Someone who was sick & in treatment & could not communicate was texting others today.  Not me. He must have gotten permission to text now but I was not inclued.  Kind of usual.  I am always the last to know & not included in anything,

    Time for Spanish lesson.  They are a little easier last couple of days.  I am glad.

002/2025 Fredag the 21th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

Today's Name Day:  Hilding

    Love this name.  Knew a local man with this name.  He & his wife owned a Swedish product store for years.  He was also an artist.  They were really nice people.  Mom & his wife were friends.

    Had a really good day today.  Slept good last night.  No major pains.  Sure makes a difference with no cold fronts headed my way.  A blessing.  And no winds.

    Had lunch at home then scooped poop & fed the cats.  I dressed before lunch. Then I was out the door!!!

    Got to work  & MM saw me headed in.  He came over for a hug & walked in with me.  Another hug & he was back at to work. He was bartending at the Öl Stuga today.  Loved seeing him.

    Worked at the SVAFC today so artist MH could stay home to paint.  I love being there & I think he is great so that was an easy decision for me to fill in.  MH & her husband BH were there for a while working on something.  I got to chat with BH for quite a while.  Artist MH was in a couple of times.  Always good.  And he bought a photo of my brother's from his show.  Third one he has sold.

    Afternoon was pretty quiet.  Several people were in leaving photos for the next show starting in a week.  A friend, RN, came in & we chatted for a couple of hours.  I always like to see him.  We have lots of local stuff to talk about.  Made my day pass quickly.

    Artist MH came to lock up for me.  Told him I will let him know about next friday.  Pretty sure I will work for him.  Small thing for me to do.

    JR & I had Mexican for supper.  I ordered 2 burritos.  Ate 1 & a 4th of the second one.  Lunch on saturday.  Business was really slow so PR & his daughter went home.  I told him as soon as he leaves they will get busy.  That is exactly what happened.

    Ended the day buying some groceries.  I only needed a bottle of Sprite.  JR needed a lot of stuff.

    Got home & I am tired.  Almost took a short nap but changed my mind.  Did spanish lesson.  It was actually easy.  Yesterday I did one & it was so difficult.  Hate that.  Tonight was fun.

    Cats are  quiet tonight.  They did eat today.  I suppose they want new food.  But I am tired so not rushing to feed them.

    It was warmer last night & today.  Saw zero for a low.  Our high was in the 20s.  In the afternoon the clouds went away.  Tomorrow we will be in the 40s.

    The road to town is perfect.  No ice or snow.  Streets in town have a lot of ice in places.  I had no trouble driving but you have to watch.  When looking for a parking place some were pretty clear but there was one I avoided.  Too much snow & ice piled up.
