7/2026 - Friday the 10th- MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  André , Andrea

I have known an Andrea or two.  Went to school with one older than me.

    Today was a good day.  I worked at the Old Mill Musuem.  My scanner still does not work like I want but not a big problem.  Just a couple of extra steps for me.  Really nice to see everyone.

    My dozen Chicago cousins asked when I worked & I hoped they would come to see me.  But they must have had more important things to do.  I am sad.  I will never see then again.  Only on FB.  Think they leave on monday.  No time for me.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  A friend sat with us.  Nice visit.

    No rain here today.  And after tonight there is zero chance for rain for at least 10 days.  And temps all over 90F.  I hate summer.  Had a snow cone for dessert.  Cannot have one often.  Blood sugar gets too high.  Cool out now.

    Today is my great grandson Atlas's 6th birthday.  Celebrating on sunday.  He is a sweetheart.  Little older photo.  Kids are left to right: Sorion, Atlas, Junior.  Father is MM.

    Need to feed Daisy one more time.  Tomorrow maybe I can sit with her early in the day.  Too busy today.

    I am ready to rest in bed.  Tired.  Nothing tomorrow.  Gave her food & as I started to come back in a  large feral cat appeared.  White legs/feet with a the rest of her a very pale pale orange.  Gave Daisy extra where that cat could not see.

 

I try to ignore those who ignore me.

7/2026 - Tuesday the 7th- MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Klas

    Today was a good day of rest at home alone.  I had few spoons to use.  Yesterday really wore me out.  Inside cats sort of stayed close.

    HOT today,  I saw 95 & not much breeze.  Humidity was low.  That is why we get no rain.  Rain & storms possible on Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday.  Time will tell.  As usual I am sure we will miss out.

    I got some mail.  And two boxes came open with individual servings of cat food.  What a mess but I gathered them up easily.  And Daisy joined me on sitting on the steps.  She curled in my lap & purred,  I gave her a reward,  Her fave food

    None of my pictures made it to my laptop.  All photos are old, old ones.  So if they look familiar, they are.  Drives me nuts.

    I need supper.  Hungry.  And thirsty.

The library that was on the Bethany Collelge campus.  I remember it burned down.  It was a cool building.

                                                                                       

         

4/2026 - Tisdagen den 28:e - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Tyra , Ture

Think I worked with a Tyra.  Not sure.  Known a Ture in Sweden or two.

    Today could have been better.  No sleep.  Awake until 7am.

    Fed my 6 kittens.  All here.  Did not see mom.  Might have shown up later.  I hope.  Fed the babies later before my supper.

    I had a nice nap after lunch.

    So surprised.  Trash was picked up & the bins were put back where we had them.  Did the trash guys do that?  Or was KN here?  Need to call & ask.  I carried no trash out today,  Still severe pain all over my body.   Difficult to even sit on the sofa.  Tomorrow will be a challenge.

    I have learned something.  There were people who once included me in things.  But not any more.  Have I done something?  Am I too old, too crippled, too ugly?  I am sad.  But life changes so be it.  I cannot change how others accept me.

    Stayed cool today,  Barely made it to the 60s.  Love it.  Made snuggling during my nap good.  Hope I can sleep tonight. 

    Managed to see today's soaps.  Already!  Nice.  My coworker is on TV in Wichita again about Mill Fest.  Our new TV star!!  Watching it now.  Cool.  He did really good & brought breakfast for the station!!!!

    Saw no cattle or llamas today.  Should sit outside with my camera to get kitten photos.
