6/2026 - Tuesday the 9th - MY JOURNEY

Willie's first name was Earl. Earl William & went by Willie. Fit him better.

Today's Name Day: Birger , Börje

The only Birger I knew was a local artist, Briger Sandzen.

Today was mostly bad. But got better. Severe storms. Lots of damage. No electricity. And no injuries.

Typical delightful Kansas weather today. Glad I could stay inside.

When you go without electricity for several hours or more it takes awhile to get your internet system to work good again. Today was a challenge. Still is. A bit better tonight. JR explained it to me the last time we had no electricity. Live & learn.

Today was just me & the cats. They stayed close. And especially last night. Quiet day.

Sat outside last evening. Got photos of Daisy. What a sweetheart.

09/2025 - Miércoles the 03rd- JOURNEY

Today's Name Day: Alfhild, Alva

Cancelled today. Pain & no sleep. Cancelled tomorrow also. But I have terrible guilt feelings. Today is JR's birthday. I feel like I am not snapping back to normal since my accident.

Had a severe weather warning. I had some mail to bring in from my porch. I had just sat down there when the wind suddenly surged at a severe speed blowing dirt & trash. Hard to see down my drive. Scared me. Barely got back indoors & it was over. There was huge hail & heavy rains in this area but I got nothing.

I took a nice nap with Cinder cuddling me. Now both cats are sleeping near me.

Had texts from MM & a text or two from JR.

My artist friend who just went back home to Iowa posted the paintings from his show at the Red Barn, just for me since I missed his show. I saved them all just for me. I really liked one of his. I sure miss him when he is gone.

Last night I forgot to take my insulin at supper. By the time I remembered it was far too late to take it. My night was much better. Blood sugar did not vary too much. Skipped it again tonight. See how my night is.

06/2025 - Martes the 17th - JOURNEY

No harvest today or the next few days. These are old photos.

Today's Name Day: Torborg, Torvald

Familiar with these names.

Had a hell of a night last night. My weather alarm radio was constantly sending alerts. I had to get up to shut it off. It is new & I am clueless. I finally moved it to next to my bed. Then played with it. NOW it is set correctly. I was awake until after 6am. Did sleep this morning. And this afternoon.

Woke up around noon today & it was thundering then. Thunder & rain now also. Maybe get the storms done before bedtime. And my electricity has been off three times. Not for long.

Bad storms in southern Kansas. Hutchinson had a wind gust of 89mph. And Wichita had a gust of 101mph. That is the strongest in their history.

Had winds here of around 40-50mph. No damage. So far around 2 inches of rain.

Texted MM last evening. I am so worried for him and his sons. He is working all week so I am going to try to see him often around my schedule. Miss seeing him.

Cooler today. Good day. Wish it would last. Cool summer weather in Kansas??? Hahaha!!! Oh, the dreams of fools........

I texted with LL. The river the Mill sits on is 6 feet higher today. Wow!!! Not seen it that high in a long time. Small leaks in the Mill itself.

No one texted today. All busy. Except for PR who used to work at Jalisco's. His 6 year old daughter & I video chatted. How sweet!!! Made my day!!
