8/2026 - Monday the 3rd - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Tage

    Today was an ok day.  Slept good last night.  A cool night.  Maybe rain around tonight & Wednesday,  Cooler tomorrow.  We also have smoke coming from western US,

    I tried to nap today but about 20 minutes later Dr. Baxa called.  Had a good visit.  Said my bones in the earlier xrays showed lots of bone damage.  But no swelling of joints.  Yet.  He is sure I have times when I am in lots of pain but not all the time.  He is ordering 2 new meds for me to pickup.  Maybe tomorrow or Wednesday.  I really like him.  Nice personality & thorough.

    This week is super busy.  Tuesday we vote here in Kansas.  Scary.  No maga for governor please!!!! And I have my last xray.  Bone density?  Work at the Old Mill on Wednesday.  The Mill board wants the historical board to join them in their meeting,  Totally screws my day up.  I cannot go all afternoon & part of the evening with no food.  My diabetes won't allow that.  Have to plan on bringing some kind of food to eat around 5pm.  Thursday I eat out with my thursday group.  Friday I am working for MH.  I have ignored him too much.  He has a show at SVAFC in september.  I Want to give him extra time to paint.  But I am not working on saturday.  I need a break.  Time to take care of me.  Then on monday I go to Hutch for a doctor's appointment.  Sheesh. Then a normal week.,

    Today is MM's oldest son's birthday.  He will be a second grader.  No news on his party.  Hope I am included.

 I gave up on a nap.  I had some large bags of trash that I needed to get rid of.  Bet I found 10 bags of trash and more,  Hard to carry them all out.  Daisy just had to be in the way!!!  But I gave her treats for helping me.  I did sit outside for a short time so we could cuddle. I threw away some boxes from outside.  I am done.  I know that my blood sugar got low.  Need supper now.

    saw I got more mail outside.  Get it later.  Too tired now.

    Around noon a "son" from Bangladesh texted me.  We have trouble texting.  Our times a so far apart.  But nice visit.  And photos. Known him for several years.  He always calls me Mom.  And he wants to own a farm like I do.  Need to send him some photos of our cattle and our llamas.  All are gone for the summer.

My ancestors.  First guy is Knute Train.  Third guy is a Train also.

My Swedish memories. First heart is eating crayfish.  Second photo is me & a statue called a snaphans.  Maybe.  Third photo is me in someone's field & with a rune stone. Last photo is me with one foot in Norway & the other in Sweden.

Best cake ever.  Normal birthday cake in Sweden.  But can we get on in LBK???  No.

What I would not give for a real Swedish breakfast.

7/2026 - Sunday the 5th- MY JOURNEY

 

Wish I was there.  I loved Hawaii.  Beautiful & nice people.

Today's  Name. Day:  Ritva , Laila

    Today was a good day.  I slept good & am walking pretty good.  Nice.  Cats ate fair overnight.  Normal.  Daisy always eats whatever I give her.

    I keep hoping for changes outside but nothing ever changes.  I will keep hoping.  And talk to my guardian angels.  Maybe they can help.  I refuse to beg.

    I was supposed to see someone at work today but I was sure it would not happen.  And I was right.  No surprise.

    Had two visitors at work.  One is working on the upcoming show in October at the gallery y Bethany College.  Sounds really great!!  The other is my family.  I have always known we are related but he was clueless.  We had a great visit.  Art, politics, family, his parents.  I really like him!!

    Got a text from someone wanting me to work in August for her.  Great!!  I warned MH I would need him.

    I planned to watch Norway & Brazil live at work.  What a joke.  Nothing worked.  JR looked up the score at supper.  I was quite excited!!! Norway won!!!  Very cool.  Even a friend in Sweden was rooting for them!!!  Now at home is England & Mexico.  Hoping for a Mexico win.

    Supper was at Pizza Hut.  I got a very nice hug & he made sure I was ok.  Nice to be cared for. He is the best. I ordered something I thought I liked.  Not hungry.  Came home & had a cookies.

    Did my Spanish lesson & it was actually easy.  How did that happen!!  I have quit pushing my self.

Where I work at the Old Mill.  I work in the basement of this building with my scanner & photos.

Turkeys in my yard.  When Willie was alive he would clean out the combines here & the turkeys liked it.

Rain storm.

Seven years ago we cut Willie's last wheat he sowed.  Seems like yesterday.  A day full of tears & laughter.  I fed them pizza.  Never spent that much in Pizza Hut!!!

                                                                     

           

7/2026 - Saturday the 4th- MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Ulrika , Ulla

    Today was ok.  My walking is much better.  No one made fun of me & my walking.  My feelings are still pretty raw & hurt.  Takes a lot to surprise me today but those nasty comments did surprise me.  Thought I was liked.  HA!!!

    I slept good.  So I felt good today.

    I moved where the cats eat in the house.  And cats do not like things changed.  I was worried but when I got up in the middle of the night they had eaten.  Good.  I fed Daisy.  Nothing dead on the porch by her today.  Fed her before I left for the day.

    Today was a work day.  I found I can watch FIFA live on YouTube.  Very cool!!!  Kept me busy.  NO people came in until late..  Lots of people out walking but no interest in the gallery.  Eventually had 3 people come in.  Two local ladies & one guy who works in the gallery,  Really like him.  We had a nice visit.  New art show,  I like it a lot.  Two men & their art.  I shared a photo of each of their work.  Love it all!!!

    Got home after work & took a nice nap.  Too many memories.  Makes me really sad to remember.  Willie & I were always invited to a family get together.  Great BBQ food & desserts.  Family & friends & even a few who actually talked to me!  The. loudest fireworks ever!  But then Willie died.  And I never got invited again.  I know why but it still hurts.  I cried today.

    I bought some new crackers.  Not sure I can eat them.  Cheddar & jalapeno flavored.  Way too hot for me!!!!  I gave up.  Back in the box they went.  Sounded good!!!

    Fed Daisy & got a load of litter to bring in the house,  Will most likely feed her again.  My baby.  She wants to come in so bad.  How nice that would be.  Maybe when she is older.

    No storms forecast.  Lindsborg got some showers early today.  I got nothing as usual.  Now nothing for a few days..

I looked at this photo today.  And I saw an extra hand!!!!  Awful!!  I got rid of it.  How did that happen???
