07/2025 - Viernes the 11th - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Eleonora, Ellinor 

Known many Ellies or Ellinors.

    Had a pretty good day.  Slept ok last night.  Blood sugar has been almost ok most of the day.  Even after supper I expected it to be bad but it got ok quickly.

    Tired this afternoon.  Hard to keep my eyes open.  Short nap when I got home.

    Worked at the SVAFC.  Did not have many visitors.  Two ladies came in together.  The one lady was sooo elegant.  She had on a black long skirt that was many short layers of a thin soft fabric.  Her top was black & white.  She had beautiful white hair twisted up on top of her head.  Don't see people looking so good often.  JH was in for a short time to chat with me.  He is the best!!!

    Texted with MM often this afternoon.  I am hopeful for him.  Upset that on Father's Day he never got to see even one of his sons.  That was cruel.  Today or yesterday was one of his son's birthday.  Again he was ignored.  That is meaness on purpose.  Karma will take care of them.  Has already happened to one.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  Ordered something I had not had for a long time.  Very good.  They were busy but not overwhelmingly busy.

    My increasing pain is no fun.  I was a bit improved this morning but now worse.  Stomach is ok today.

    Tomorrow is my granddaughter's birthday.  Her brother is CF.  She quit talking to me years ago.  No idea why.  I remember she got engaged & not one family told me.  I had no idea.  Eventually I was invited but did not feel wanted.  CF says she is like that with most of her family.  I will send a card & let it go.  I remember how close CF, her, & I were when they were younger.  They lived near us.  Good times.  Sad they ended ---- all the way around.  I think she cares but is too focused on her own life.

    Awful weather again today.  Did not quite reach 100F.  Cooler this weekend.  Great!!

07/2025 - Martes the 08th- JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Kjell

    What a day!!!  MM had to go back to the ER last night in Salina.  A friend took him in.  They decided to send him home around 230am.  He called me for a ride home.  I totally hate driving at night but I could not say no.  It went ok.  I was almost out of fuel so I had to stop for that.  They made some medication changes & changed his insulin.  Hope it all helps.  Did not get then today.  Grrrr.  Tomorrow I hope.

    I did not fall sleep until around 6am.  Got up for lunch.  Then a. long nap.  Still sleepy now.  Hope I sleep good tonight.

    That was it.  No texts from anyone but MM.

    Hot today.  I saw 93.5F.  Plus the humidity. My weather alert radio woke me from my afternoon nap for a thunderstorm warning.  No where near me.  Sheesh.  Several storms in the south or SE but not coming my way.  Then cooler this weekend.  Nice.  And maybe rain.

    Kisse gave me a scare today.  She was not in my bedroom for our nap.  She could have been as she sometimes sleeps under my bed.  Got up to change my glucose sensor.  Had the TV on.  No Kisse.  Got ready to eat so I called out for her.  Took her forever but she finally showed up.  Whew.  She is gone again now.  She did hang around for a while.

06/2025 - Sabado the 21st - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Alf, Alvar

Have a friend from Sweden named Alf.  Known him & his wife for years.  He has been in town many years.  And was a guide for my one trip to Sweden.

    Today was cancelled.  Woke with a bad headache.  I wrote to LL & she told me there was a swim meat at the swimming pool that is across the street.  And no parking.  Maybe the headache was a good thing.

    My blood sugar has bounced around today.  Makes me very tired.  Not healthy.  I took a long nap plus a shorter one before supper.  Still tired.

    Cinder has been my "guard" all night & all day.  She never left my side all night.  She was on top the chair next to my bed.  And during my nap.  When I get up she follows & stays close.

    Icky weather.  Saw 97F here plus very strong winds.  Hard to go outside.  It pulled the door out of my hands.  Almost knocked me over.  No chance of rain for a day or two.  Text from a cousin in Kentucky.  Their weather is the same as here.  He does not like it either.

    Had an email last night from a friend,  MM had texted me several times.  One photo text from CF.  Quiet day.

    Got a photo of my great nephew & great niece with some farm equipment.  KN said the rain did not hurt the wheat much.  Not too bad this year.  So far.

Every saturday morning a group of special car owners meet at the Blacksmith Shop for coffee.  They had a video today & this one caught my attention.  Cool.

04/2025 Torsdag the 10th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Ingvar, Ingvor

    Had a nice restful day.  I had things I wanted to do but too tired & too sore.  Life.

    Took a short nap then got up to wash my hair.  Not a hard job but I never like to do it.  Lazy I think!!!

    Before supper my blood sugar got very low & it totally wiped me out.  Short nap again --- less than an hour.

    Weather was our new normal.  Chilly at night so need a bit of heat but too warm in the day so need the AC on.  No chance of rain here.  They say maybe sunday, bigger chance on wednesday then again on Easter.  I believe none of it.  It always bypasses us.

    No cattle near here until this evening.  I like when they are near.  No llamas either.

    Did hear from my grandson CF for a bit.  He has a pick up coming to him next week.  Would help him find work.

    Several photos from MM & of AM.  AM is just adorable.  I am so lucky to have 3 great grandsons.  They keep me loving life.  As do my jobs.

    Cats have been lazy today.  Stayed close at my first nap.  And they ever like what I feed them.  Have no idea what to do with them.  They aren't starving as they eat their dry food.  Cinder helped clean up my plate with crumbs from my burrito.
