Forgot this yesterday.

Today's Name Day:  Roland

I have know at least 1 Roland.

    Today was a much better day.  Always in pain but today I can walk slowly but standing upright.  Slower than usual.

    I sort of felt abandoned yesterday & thursday.  Last night I had a late night chat with a friend who asked how I was feeling and said he would pray for me.  Very nice.  He was tired after working I am sure.  Nice way to end my day.

    I worked at the SVAFC.  I was sort of steady busy.  A friend from Hays who collects art came in.  Nice to see him.  Pretty rare.  He works & so do I.

    Then the artist at the Red Barn came in.  We are good friends.  Oh, if he just lived closer!!!  We went out to supper together & had a great visit.  We usually eat out every monday noons while he is here.  I must go see his art.

    We are in a severe weather watch.  In one breathe they show the storm watch map & we are in it.  Then in the next breath they say the storms will stay north of I70.  Which is it.  From my least favorite weather person.  She is just stupid.

    My weather radio has been quiet so I checked on it.  Unplugged. Had to reset the time & the area of Kansas I live in,  Gotta find new batteries for it in case we lose electricity. 

    Weather today sucked. I saw 100F here with bad humidity.  Glad I was inside.

07/2025 - Viernes the 11th - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Eleonora, Ellinor 

Known many Ellies or Ellinors.

    Had a pretty good day.  Slept ok last night.  Blood sugar has been almost ok most of the day.  Even after supper I expected it to be bad but it got ok quickly.

    Tired this afternoon.  Hard to keep my eyes open.  Short nap when I got home.

    Worked at the SVAFC.  Did not have many visitors.  Two ladies came in together.  The one lady was sooo elegant.  She had on a black long skirt that was many short layers of a thin soft fabric.  Her top was black & white.  She had beautiful white hair twisted up on top of her head.  Don't see people looking so good often.  JH was in for a short time to chat with me.  He is the best!!!

    Texted with MM often this afternoon.  I am hopeful for him.  Upset that on Father's Day he never got to see even one of his sons.  That was cruel.  Today or yesterday was one of his son's birthday.  Again he was ignored.  That is meaness on purpose.  Karma will take care of them.  Has already happened to one.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  Ordered something I had not had for a long time.  Very good.  They were busy but not overwhelmingly busy.

    My increasing pain is no fun.  I was a bit improved this morning but now worse.  Stomach is ok today.

    Tomorrow is my granddaughter's birthday.  Her brother is CF.  She quit talking to me years ago.  No idea why.  I remember she got engaged & not one family told me.  I had no idea.  Eventually I was invited but did not feel wanted.  CF says she is like that with most of her family.  I will send a card & let it go.  I remember how close CF, her, & I were when they were younger.  They lived near us.  Good times.  Sad they ended ---- all the way around.  I think she cares but is too focused on her own life.

    Awful weather again today.  Did not quite reach 100F.  Cooler this weekend.  Great!!

07/2025 - Sábado the 05th - JOURNEY

 

Six years ago today.  Great memories.  Friends met to harvest the last wheat Willie planted before he died.

Today's Name Day:  Laila, Ritva

    Today was a SVAFC work day.  Had some visitors.  Not too many.  The people walking by outside all looked miserable.  Far too hot & humid.  I was glad to be inside.

    I saw 95F.  High humidity.  Thunder right now where I live,  No rain yet.  No wind either.

    MM quiet today.  Says he just rested.  Blood sugar some better.  I hope so,  I have said all I am going to say to him.  He should listen to his doctor.

    Since I am working tomorrow I left my bag at the gallery.  No need to haul it around.  Just time killing things I bring with me.

    I decided to take me out to supper.  Walked across the street to the Öl Stuga.  Zach met me at the door with a "real" hug,  Needed that.  And with in a few minutes I had my spice rum & coke.  Perfect.  One of the waitresses took my food order.  The other one took my credit card later.  And as we chatted we talked about MM & him being my grandson.  Now she calls me Grandma too.  Nice girl..  Always good for things that make me feel good inside.

    Got home & who ever delivered my mail has no functioning brain cells.  My mail did not fit in my mail box.  So he left the lid open, stuffed the inside as full as possible, & a large sack on the top of the  mail box.  IF it had rained much of it would have been ruined.  Do they not know how to drive up a drive way????
