07/2025 - Miércoles the 30th- JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Algot

    Had a great day out in the world. at last.

    MM called me right as my alarm went off this morning.  Asked me out to lunch.  Of course I said yes.  I got dressed & picked him up at his home.  We ate Mexican.  I had a burger and fries.  Saving Mexican for supper.

    I try to learn bits & pieces of Spanish to use.  I learned to order my Mexican coke in spanish.  And MA what I said was correct but he would say it differently.  I say it his way.  May be where he is from or how is parents said it.  But I always say it his way. 

    I worked at the Old Mill this afternoon.  Boring photos,  But they are moving along.  One photo had 2 of my favorite people.  Miss them so much!

    Supper was Mexican again.  I had my burrito.  Good.  I declined ice cream.  Decided to wait to get groceries then decide about ice cream.  Got a small dish of soft serve with caramel sauce.  Perfect.  I hate to say no to MA but he understands,

    Kids were both so glad when I got home.  Nice to be missed!!   Both wanted petting.  And got what they wanted.

 

    I did my spanish lesson.  It has been just awful lately.  Very frustrating.  Tonight was much easier.  What a relief.  Fun to do better.

    Weather was a bit better.  Still really humid but cooler.  I saw 85F for a high.  Then in town it rained. Very nice.  At my house, not a drop.  Of course.

    Mosquitos are horrible.  I have patches to wear to repel mosquitos & another for Ticks.  I added one to my top for mosquitos.  I noticed at lunch there was a fly around.  It left me alone.  Going home I got a mosquito in my car.  It wanted out in the worst way.  I stopped & opened my window & out he went.  They might work.  Got a bite on my ankle.  Going to bed with one on my ankle & one on my shoulder.

07/2025 - Martes the 01st- JOURNEY

 

Glad the days are getting shorter.  Closer to Sweater Weather.  😃

Love Canada.  Would be great to live in a wonderful, caring country as Canada.

Today's Name Day:  Aron, Mirjam

I had a step grandson with my son's second temporary wife named, Aaron.  No clue where he is now.  Or her.  And I don't care.  Bad time in my life.

    Another quiet day.  I ended up cancelling almost everything.  Will cancelle tomorrow also.  Will do nothing until saturday.  Feeling too sick to care.  Pain, blood sugar problems, super depressed.  Just plain tired of it all.

    Had an eye dr. appointment for thursday that was going to stop me from eating with my thursday group.  Called my dr.  They found me a better appointment.  We are lunching at the Öl Stuga.  Will not miss that. Hopefully I will feel ok.  And it is MM's first day back to work.  So happy they gave him a week off.  

    I took a nap this afternoon after little sleep last night.  JR needed help so he called when I needed to be at his house.  From there I called MM to see if he still needed me to take him grocery shopping. He did and got me a couple of things.  Including potato sallad and donuts.  😋

    MM bought us some raspberry salted licorice to try.  Swedes love salted licorice.  Well.  We are now positive we are not Swedish enough to like it.  😝

    Weather was ok today.  Saw 91F today.  No strong winds.  No rain.

Only took 3 tries to get the Swedish flag like I wanted.

05/2025 Söndag the 11th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day: Märit, Märta

    Had a pretty good day.  Other than set my alarm wrong.  I overslept for an hour!!!  Boy did I rush this morning.  But I ate, got the kids ready for the day, & got to work.  I forgot to set the temp to AC & it stayed on heat.  No bueno!!!  The heat did not come on but the heat from the hot sun warmed the house up to 86!!!!  It was miserable to come home.  Plus I had groceries to carry in & put away.  In the heat  Mucho no bueno!!!  But cooling off now.

    Worked today at the SVAFC.  Sort of a slow day but still had a few in.  Enough that I did not get tired.  No one to visit with. I had a nice text from CF.  Made my day.  I was mostly forgotten except for general mom's day greetings for everyone.

    I did end up being very depressed.  Still am.  I miss Willie & his flowers & card from him & whatever dog we had at that time.  Hard to be alone & mostly forgotten.  My days of being celebrated are over.  I help those I love & how I can.  And hope that I sometimes get help back.  I hope.

    Miserable hot weather but no strong winds.  No chance of rain as we dry up worse daily.

    Supper was pizza with my BS unstable.  Then it got ok but when I got home it was crap again.  It got low again.  I was "forced" to eat a couple of small donuts.  My arm was not twisted!!!  But all is well now!

    I had photos to share but the laptop did not sync.  Grrrr.  Tomorrow.  Photos are mostly flowers.  I took most of them.

My kids who love me & would have given me a celebration.  Cinder gave me kisses before work & when I got home.  Sweet baby.  Nico was in his favorite sleep spot.  How I miss him. Kisse greeted me on the sofa.   I know the cats miss Nico also.

Sure missing Mom today.  Will have tears later tonight.  Or now.

002/2025 Fredag the 28th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Maja, Maria

Love the name Maria.  My first Mexican friend had that name when I was around 12 years old.  I have many friends now with that first name.

    I had a great day.  I enjoyed every minute.  I slept good except for my back pain.  Still hurts now.  Not bad all afternoon.  I have a new pain cream that worked when I went to bed but cannot wear in public.  Too strong a smell.  Not bad, just strong.

    Met my friend LL for lunch at the White Peacock.  I had biscuits & sausage gravy.  Delicioso!!  (New spanish word). We had a nice visit.  They were busy,  Got there early & no table to sit at.  But I waited.  Finally some ladies got up & left.  We almost had to sit outside.

    Then I went to SVAFC.  I was early so I sat outside on a bench.  Very nice.  Lots of people walking by & some chatted.  I need that when I am a;lone so often.

    MH let me in & so did MH.  She stayed for a long time labeling all the photos.  I have made a promise to myself that next year I will have one or two photos in the community show.  That is our show this month,.  Nice that we had a chance to chat.  Her daughter, EH, came in for a while also.  Good to see her.  Did not have many visitors,  One lady & 3 guys.  But at closing time MH came in with a lady & her 3 kids.  Found out we are almost neighbours.  Cool.  She has 4 photos in the show.  I got photos of them all photos in the show for my own memory.  Next week I will walk to read about each one.

    I am so lucky that MH told me I can work any friday to give MH (artist) an extra day to paint.  I am loving this & thanked her today again.  And he said because I worked he got a great start on a new painting.  Nice to know I did good!!!

    Supper was Mexican.  Got my usual burritos.  Brought one home after eating one.  We talked about some guys who worked at Jalisco's years ago & just now opened a new Mexican restaurant in Nebraska   MA did not know where so I showed him.  Way in western Nebraska.  Far far away.  No way I can get there.  I have no one to help me get there.  Or anywhere.  The joy of having no kids or close family who are able to travel & to help me.  Alone is not good.  I must just depend on me most of the time.  No one else is here.  I ask for no help in my house.  People are too busy or not interested.

    Did buy a little groceries.  I am ok now for a while. 

    I try to keep politics out of my blog but I feel I must just say my thoughts on the horrible way an honourable man was treated like shit on live TV.  I am ashamed of my country & government. I hope that maybe this wakes some people up, but I have my doubts.  It is great for the world wide support I have read from all of the world.
