11 December, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    We got quite cold last night.  I saw 18F.  Glad we had no breeze!  Today was 43F.  Early morning fog developed.  We were in an advisory until noon.  In town you really could not see it but out in the open it was plain.  I think they say it will happen again tomorrow.

    JR & I had lunch at Jalisco's.  They got quite busy.  JS has one food he teases me with.  The smoke is too much for me.  He was so busy he forgot to walk by me with it!!  I told him JR told me to walk over & take a deep breath of it & it would make him feel better. 

    JR came home with me to help me get the old mattress topper outside.  He managed to roll it up & it fit in one trash bin.  I could have not done that.  And nice I can walk in the hallway again!

    Nico was weird when we went to bed.  He hid under the bed for a long time.  Afraid of the new mattress topper?  He finally came up to sleep.  I noticed I did not hurt as much as usual.  All in my mind or just luck?  I think the old one was too soft & thick.  Time will tell.

    I put on a new necklace a day ago.  I was sure it was sterling silver.  I am allergic to any metal that is cheap.  I need silver or steel or gold.  So now my neck is itching.  Cannot scratch or have a bad looking neck.  It is always something.  I think that is my middle name.

    Still no plans for Christmas.  Have a movie picked out to watch on one of the days.  We are hoping where we ate Thanksgiving dinner is open on Christmas.  Not heard anything yet.

    Need to go look at Christmas lights but it depends on the weather this week.  Super cold at the end of the week.  Gotta see if Cinder can come in & how the others react.  Try on tuesday first.  Or maybe monday.

    I tried to take a short nap but people kept driving in the yard.  I just rested.  Too busy outside & Nico had to run to his window, barking.

No Blog Blog, Day 431....

Not much to say. Hate to bore anyone. Made it out of the house but only to help a friend. Glad I could do my part.

I was blessed with no coughing today.

Life Improving? No masks? Day 426....

Another too quiet day. Still sick. Now besides a sore throat I am sneezing and coughing. Last night my blood sugar was sky high --- over 300. This morning it is still sky high --- over 200. Most likely because I am sick. I ate little for lunch and Will see if that helps.

My trash pick up company called. My bill has not been paid. They have my credit card. But, she lowered my bill. We are long time customers. Nice call. She did ask how bad my roads are. We got sprinkles. Salina had around 4-5 inches. No problem here.

I have trash to take out. I might call JS to see if he can help and bring me some Pepsi.

Later: I did call Js. He was going from Salina to his home. I am on the way. He took my trash out and I got Pepsi. And he stayed to visit. We sat outside.

My blood sugar is down a lot before supper --- under 200. Great.

I tried to nap but could not. Nico and Kisse had no problem sleeping.

Photos are mostly from today. The wheat is an old photo. I counted 6 turkey vultures in my backyard. If my yard would ever dry I could cut down weeds and get near my peonies. Hopefully soon. I finally emptied my rain gauge. We have had 2" since last Thursday. Salina had 5-6".
