9/2026 - Monday the 14th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Ida , Ronja

I have known several Idas.  Must have been a popular name at one time.  Mom had a neighbour lady named Ida.  One of our landlords we farmed for was an Ida.  And others I have forgotten.

    Today was just a normal day.  Home alone with the cats.  One short email.  Texting with MM & AN.  Sad day in some ways.  Special day in other ways,

    Kisse never came in the bedroom all night.  Not normal.  I was sooo worried.  Almost scared to get up thinking there might be something wrong Kisse.  I got up & there at their water dish was Kisse.  Where was she all night or did I sleep so sound I missed her & she never ran over my bed.  Normal today.

    Daisy is ok,  Out in heat.  I saw a bit over 100F.  Sick of heat.  Cooler tomorrow I can sit out with her some.

    I had plans to move some heavy boxes to the trash outside but changed my mind.  Too hot.  I am in too much pain.  A quien le importa?

    Got word today that KN's mother-in-law has died.  Hard to lose a mom or anyone,  She was a really nice lady.  Always liked her.  She was so good to her grandchildren,  She will be missed.

    It is MM's birthday tomorrow.  Sent him an early card.  We texted a lot then!!

    Tired today.  Tired of being tired.  Took a nice cozy nap.  Cinder curled up next to me for most of it.  Much better than working out in the heat.

    Blood sugar better today.  I had a small can of soda for lunch.  Nice for a change.  BS was ok after eating.

    Photos today are a mix.  Not sorted.  Too lazy.

MM & friend CW.  MM is very tall.  No idea how he manages to hug me.  Glad he can.  Their shoes explain how they managed this.

5/2026 - Friday 15th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Sofia , Sonja

I have known several Sonjas & a Sofia or two.

      Today started out ok.  Met LL for lunch at the White Peacock,  I had something different.  It was ok.  Will try something different next time.  While eating I swallowed wrong  --- down the wrong way.  I was so embarressed,  Upset LL.  What an idiot.

    Next on my list was to work at the SVAFC.  I love it there.  An awesome art show this month.  I know the artist.  Every morning she paints the sunrise.  But the art today was totally different.  Hard to explain. Will share a photo.  They are like some kind of material,  Makes you want to touch them.  I did not!

   Met several nice visitors. Best part of my job there.  I asked about someone I was sure I would end up being friends with but I was wrong. Never seen him again. Why do I even try. He is here but keeps away from me.  I cannot win.  Always mostly alone,

    As the day went on I got more & more tired.  I was even drinking my  V8 Energy. drink.  Did not help.

    Driving home was awful.  I had a pain patch on my knee that failed.  My hands were terribly painful.  Then my neck & shoulders hurt.  That is new.

    I always switch my AC & heat from day to night settings,  or whatever,  I know I did that this morning.  I did but what I did I actually turned it all off!!!  I got home & the house was 85F.   Lordy!!!  It is now just normal in here at 10pm.  Yikes!!!  Poor cats.

    I went to bed for a nap.  Feel better now.  My kitten is still here,  No one else.  I gave her something my indoor cats like.  Man, she scarfed that up.  Do it again now.  Wish the wild life would stay away.  They eat her food & water.  

    I was going to skip blogging but Spanish was not as bad as usual.  I no longer care about it.  I stop when I get tired or stressed.
