5/2026 - Monday the 4th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Mona , Monika

I have a great friend in Sweden named Mona.  Her special day.  We used to blog together on Yahoo years ago.  A nice group of us.  Then Yahoo stopped that program.  Miss it.  Mona used to post a different artist every week & we all would attempt to copy their art.  Miss that.  Maybe try one I enjoyed on my own.  Just for fun.

    Today has been pretty good.  Glad my kittens & Miss Kitty are home.  I saw them around 1am before going to bed.  They were beyond excited to see me!!  Gathered around my feet!!! They were starving.  Fed them again around 4am.

    This morning around 830am I looked out my bedroom window.  All 7 kittens were racing around my yard & climbing a tree.  What fun.  My screen is awful so no photos.  Have asked twice to have it replaced but I have given up.  Not going to happen. They got enough food today so have rested.  Asked 2 family members but no one has time for me.

    JS video chatted with me.  I know he worries about me & loves me.  Nice to see & hear him.  Makes my day. 

    Far too hot today.  I saw 85F here.  Felt ok outside.  I was out twice to get mail.  The second time KN was here so we had a nice chat.  He got all his corn planted.  Now we need lots of rain.  🌧  Let's hope.

    Temps dropping tonight then gets cold.  Chance of snow in the far NW corner of Kansas.  Chance of rain overnight here & all day tomorrow.  What a great fantasy.  Assaria will get it all.  As usual.

    One text from JR.  Nice email from JL.  Nothing from MM  Just photos of a concert he was at  & now at the airport.  No idea why.  I know nothing.  As usual.  Out of town football game.  I cannot even manage to get to Great Bend let alone a flight somewhere.

    Still nothing from my thursday group.  I deleted my texts since no one could or would answer them.  I am assuming we won't eat again.  I can go where I want alone.  And by thursday I might need groceries.  Will order to pick. up.  No more writing checks for groceries.

    Had poor sleep last night so took a nap this afternoon.  Slept ok.  Need to just learn to take at least a half or an entire anxiety pill at night.  I am just in so much pain & extra tiredness.  Joys of RA & weather.  Wish I had a support group.  Another fantasy.  Few family. & fewer friends.  None have time for me.

    There is a RA site I follow.  Every night they have a Roll Call ----- where we are & how we feel.  As close to a support group as I can get.  Nice to know I am not suffering alone.  Sometimes they ask in the morning also.  Members from all over the world.

    Saw no cattle or llamas.  Maybe poor timing on my part..

    I double checked to make sure that all my favorite shows on CBS are set to tape.  But today I missed one soap.  Watched it on my ipad.  Says it will tape tomorrow.  I will double check before that time.

    I see that Swedish people are reading my blog again.  Nice.  But Mexico has dropped out.

    I watched part of SNL UK last night.  The opening was all about the royal family.  They cannot be happy!  Funny.

Today's Name Day:  Harald,  Hervor

Willie's brother was Harold.  Died long before Willie.

    My day started a bit bad.  I had slept good.  I had at least 1 cat in bed with me most all night.  Odd but nice.  I got dressesd & ate lunch with no problem.  On the way to town, I got so sick in my stomach.  I thought I would have to just turn around to go home.  I finally started to feel better so I went to work,  No further problems.  Odd problems.  I am sure it was something I ate.

    Before I got in my car here came Miss Kitty.  So I sat on the bench & we bonded a bit.  She is sweet.  Her water is about gone.  Must refill before bed.

    I was excited to meet out new director, Hayley.  And I found out we have known each other for a long time.  Except she was a child & I was an adult.  I forgot.  She has changed a lot!!!  She knows Willie's family, lots of my neighbours, etc.  What a hoot!!!  We had a great talk. Here is her photo.

She is super cool.  I am usually not part of business discussions.  I am just the photo girl.  She asked my opinion on something they were all discussing.  Nice to be included.  I know my place but nice to be asked.

    And then someone came in to talk to my coworkers.  I know him well but he has been known to not even say hello to me.  I forced him to today.  No need for anyone to be rude,

    And then my scanner.  All afternoon I could scan one photo.  ONE.  Then turn the scanner completely off & back on.  Scan another photo.  Repeat rebooting again.  All afternoon.  I hope it blows up.  It was starting not want to turn back on.  Or forget blowing up, just die.  Period.

    It stayed cold today.  In the 50s.  It rained lightly while I worked.

    JR & I ate at Jalisco's.  Nice to see my amigos.  Food did not bother me.  Had a burger & fries & ice cream.  It was not too busy.

    It started raining lightly when I started for home.  Got home & there were the llamas in the pasture.  Too far away for a photo.

    MM is preparing everyone that he will be away for a couple of weeks to move into his new home.  I see one of his kids is here to visit.  And all his paperwork has been signed so the house is his.  Very good,  Maybe he has sensed my feelings of being left out.  Just me.  I am always left out of everything.  No groups of friends for me. No family times.  Except for one meal on thursdays.

    Lots of rain clouds on the radar.  Hope we have a chance for more real rain.  KN added some dirt to the low spot in my drive.  See what happens if we actually have rain.

This is a photo I found today of a former best friend, Denice.  Oh the fun we had!!  We bowled a lot, we ate out a lot, we smoked, & we drank beer!!!  I miss her.  But she got very ill with MS.  Married her long time boyfriend,  He knew he diagnosis,  But he loved.  She got sicker & they moved away.  She died & soon after he died.  Bless her soul.
