Today's Name Day:  Elisabet, Lisbet

Known many Elisabeths in the US or Sweden.

    Had a great day!!!  Slept good.  Diabetes was good most of the day.  If I turn away from my glucose sensor in bed it will beep to wake me that it cannot read my sugars.  I now put my sensor in a small plastic bag that turns when  I turn in bed.  Quiet night.

    Today was a work day at the Old Mill.  It was our director's birthday yesterday.  So today we all got a treat from the White Peacock in her honor.  They waited until it was a day where I was at work.  Very nice.  I got my usual of iced green tea with honey.  The best.

    I really made gains on the pile of photos I am working on.  I got all the Baxter Black photos separated & ready to scan.  What fun that will be!!

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  I tried something new.  A soft taco.  Pretty good.  One friend paid me some nice compliments.  And her husband teased me.  I like them all.

    Another friend was there but he ignored me.  Too much beer.  Hate that.  Oh well.  Next time.

    There were 4 hispanics sitting near us.  They sat near us last sunday at Pizza Hut.  They are here with a road crew working on a local highway.  Maybe get to know them some time.  Be here a long time.  Seem nice.

    Dessert was ice cream at Indigo Moo'd.  Got my fave --- Vanilla bean.  Excellent.  Lots of people in town.  Busy.

    Today was MM's youngest son's 5th birthday.  His mom actually drove him to town for MM to spend time with him.  Very nice of her.  Does not always happen.  He shared several photos with me.  Nice.

    In Lindsborg I saw around 20 rain drops on my car.  Nothing at my house.  Yet.

11/2025 - Sábado the 08th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Vendela

    Had a good day.  Ate ok.  Blood sugar was pretty good.  On my sensor twice a day or so my sugar would suddenly drop to 69.  Wrong.  So I ate when I did not need to.  Good to know.

    Slept good overnight & had a short nap.

    JR & I ate supper at Jalisco's.  MA stayed home.  So it was LS, MS, & HT.  The restaurant filled up.  The girls were running to take care of people.  HT even took food out to tables also.  And they all had time to be nice to me.  MS even helped me stand to leave & pay.  Nice friends.

    Dessert was ice cream.  Made me sooo cold!!!  Warming up here at home now.  It is 47F now outside.

    On the way home I ran over a small skunk.  I feel so guilty.  Hope it did not suffer.  I hate to hurt anything.  My car has a slight smell to it.  Might stay home tomorrow.  Dang.  Or go through the car wash before eating out

    Talked to next to no one today.  That is ok.

    My soccer match I watched from London was fun.  Both teams scored 2 goals.  NBC has lots of soccer on.  I need to take time to watch.

    Found 2 old mice near my desk.  One did not work at all on my laptop.  But the newer little one is perfect.  The one my repair guys sold me I do not like.  Too large.  Will get rid of the useless old one.

    Cinder & Kisse have new sleeping places. I found Cinder's this morning.  Those 2 keep me on my toes!!

    Photos are a mix.  I have new ones already for tomorrow.  Good to stay ahead.

   

This was a faded picture I had.  No idea where it came from.  I ran it through an app twice to edit it.  Now cool looking.

003/2025 Fredag the 07th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Camilla

I was in school with a girl named Camille.  We knew each other but not friends.  She was a year older & very nice.

    A much better day.  I ate out & worked.  Pain free?  Sort of.  Not really pain just feeling uncomfortable.  Nothing major.  I had enough visitors at work I had little time to feel sorry for myself.  While eating tonight pain started in my back,  Same at home plus knee pain.  Normal.  Always have some kind of pain daily.  Whether I complain or not I hurt.  I know most people just don't care.  I have adjusted to that truth.

    Started my day with lunch with LL at the White Peacock.  They were rather quiet today.  Got our table quite easy.  Had a ham sandwich with mayo, lingonberries & cheese.  Very good.

    Then I worked at the SVAFC.  I was busy today.  Many visitors in this afternoon.  I knew several & others I was clueless.      

    One lady came in who loves to visit.  And so do I.  Like to make up for my alone time.  Found out we both have kids who ignore us.  Hers have never threatened her with physical harm.  They just ignore her.  But we gave each other support.

    One guy came in that I did not know.  He is an artist.  And never was quiet.  Never.  Like we were best friends!  But it helped pass the time.  Later I was warned about him.  Just over board.

    One couple were my friends.  Nice to see both of them.  Good people!  He posts lots of cool stuff.  I told him to keep it up!!

    Supper was Mexican with JR.  Good to see all of my friends there.  Like going home.  I am lucky.  Took a burrito home for this weekend.  So good.  Todo bien.

    Dessert was Shamrock ice cream -----  mint ice cream with thin mint Girl Scout cookies & green sprinkles.  It was very good.  Never had it before.

    Home now.  Need to feed the kits.  Both have let me know they are near death.  They had lots of food they sort of ignored.

    Weather stayed cloudy & in the  40s.  Last night it was in the 30s & I was freezing.  Stupid south wind.  Hope it stays calm tonight.  I will sleep better.  Dreading the hot weather on monday & tuesday.
