10/2025 - Jueves the 23rd - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Severin, Sören

    I have had a better day.  Slept ok overnight.  Worried about MM flying today.  Flight was delayed but now on his way.  Still worrying.  Texts me often with lots of photos.  Helps my nerves!!  He is a big Packer fan & his pilot on this flight is also.  Cool.

    I ordered a new cane that is supposed to be steadier.  Seems how it works tomorrow.  It has a light on it but I am clueless how to put batteries in it.  Doubt I need it.  Maybe MM can help next week.  And it has a fold down handle to help getting up if needed.  That I will use.

    I feel better today.  Lunch did not upset my stomache so hoping work tomorrow will be good.  And eating out first.

    I sat outside for a while.  The air has a cool nip in it.  There is rain on the radar in Oklahoma.  Coming our way.  Starts around midnight.  Stayed cool today.  No AC needed.

    Cats seem to have a bigger appetites now.  In their winter mode?  Interesting.  Been a miserable summer & they did not care to eat much.  Me either.

06/2025 Torsdag the 05th - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Bo

    Another cancelled day.  But finally my blood sugars are more normal.  Finally.  Plan to work tomorrow.  Will eat out at lunch for sure.  Supper maybe not.  See how I feel.  Time to take care of me as much as I can.  No one else has time or will take the time.  I know that MM is always there for me.

    Weather was ok.  Partly cloudy with a high of 75.  Heavy rains forecast for southern Kansas where there is still lots of flooding.  While we sit here with hardly any rain & in drought conditions.  Salina is 2-3 inches below normal.  Rest of the state are above normal.  Awful for us.  Right now there is a tornado in NW Kansas.  And huge hail,

    Did not get much sleep last night.  No clue why not.  Slept this morning.  After lunch I shampooed my hair.  The water never bothered my glucose sensor.  Love the the extra tape over it.  I feel more secure.  Had some new shampoo & conditioner.  Smells good & hair feels nice.

    Only a photo from CF.  Nothing more.  MM texted.  He is feeling better.  I am relieved.  Texted with LL about work.  Be great to be back.

    I need to drive to my mailbox.  Probably not much in it.

This was in my yard a few summers ago.  We are rarely wet enough for muchrooms anywhere.

Soon.  Wheat is turning.

05/2025 Måndag the 5th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Erhard, Gotthard

    A much better day.  BS are manageable.  I never bottomed out.  I sensed it was coming so I ate something.

    Slept good.  Got cool overnight.  I sleep better then.  Today was in the 70s.  No strong winds.  Nice out.  Rain starts tomorrow.  I hope.  I am trying not to be hopeful.  Tired of disappointment.

    After lunch I took a short nap.  Cinder had to give up her fave sleeping place so I could lay down.  So kind of her!!!  BS was high when I got up but shortly after it was dropping.  So I had a snack.  Worked good.

    Supper was at Pizza Hut.  I wanted my salad I missed on sunday being sick.  And I figured Jalisco's would be busy today.  Pizza Hut was not busy.  Lots of carry out business.  Love their salad!

    Then groceries at White's.  I was low on things I eat.  They were busy.  After there we went to Dollar General for extra meat for me that I like better.  And we each had an ice cream sandwich.  Yummy!

    Home to greet my kits.  They still have some food but wanted more.  Soon I will get fresh food.

    Been talking to CF often.  He seems like the old  CF.  I hope so.  Think he is better being here.

    I stopped at my friend LN's house to photograph his poppies that are blooming.  They are so beautiful!!  I almost missed them last year but not this year.  I will take more on wednesday.  Will share tomorrow.
