10/2026 - Saturday the 10th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Harriet , Harry

I was in a school with a Harry.  He was a couple of years older.  When I worked at the hospital our chaplain was Harry.  The best!!  When I went to church with Mom & Dad with we sat with a sweet lady named Harriet.  Mom had a friend named Harriet.  Both are nice names of nice people.

    Today was ok.  No energy.  Email from JL.  Spent today just resting.  Boring blog today.

    Warmer today with high winds.  Still blowing at around 25mph.  Our low was 63F. Our high was 90F.  Rain starts around tuesday then cooler.  No complaints from me.

    Got a photo from AN.  She is delivering fuel to the field.  KN is planting crops.  I was never good enough to do that.  I only did food & helping moving equipment from one field to another.  I hauled the crew.  I miss those days.  And the people who worked for us.

    Hard for me to have no human contact but my cats sure try.  Daisy follows me everywhere.  She tried to go outside yesterday.  I managed to grab her & then I almost fell.  I am scared she would go & not come back.  Too many scary animals outside.

    Watching the end of a foot ball game.  Do not like it.  The players are all tough acting & almost violent.  I prefer soccer where the players are pleasant & seem happy at plays.  No violence.  Although I have seen some get upset.  I did see the end of a soccer match before my nap.

    Friends in Sweden took a trip.  Loved their photos.  Cool trip.  Glad for them but sad for me.  I cannot go anywhere.  No one to travel with & no one to help me travel.  Getting older & alone is no fun.  I am jealous of friends who have kids & grandkids & friends.  Had a long conversation with a friend who recently lost a family member but he has so many others.  I am not so lucky.

    Finally.  Foot ball is over.  And one of my shows is back on.  Life is good.

    Need to eat supper.  Nothing sounds good.  Maybe peanut butter & jelly sandwich.  Then Spanish lesson.

Back from my days feeding birds.  I enjoyed those days.

We used to have lots of turkeys around our yard.  They loved the wheat in our yard after harvest.  Miss them.

Daisy is watching a soccer match.  She really was focused on it for a while.

Today's Name Day:  Roger, Rutger

Have a good friend named Rodger who is an arist.  Picture in my blog.

    My day was ok.  Supposed to have lunch with MM but he is sick.  Probably from the Canadian smoke.  I am not sick but have sneezed for the last 2 days.

    I was already to Jalisco's when I learned MM would not meet me.  I ate a nice quiet lunch of my burrito & horchata.  MA & his family were eating lunch together since I was the only customer.  Had a nice visit with MA & TA.

    At home I worked at further organizing my iPad.  It is much better.

    I ended the afternoon with a short nap.

    Hot again today.  Almost 90F.  High tomorrow is 68F.  Storms are west of me.  See if I can get some rain or if Assaria will get it all as usual.  We are in a warning now for around 10pm.

    I even managed to take 3 bags of trash out to the bins.  They did not smell well.  Much better without them.  Kinda breezy ourside.

    A while back The Old Mill had a silent auction.  Not everything got sold. There was a John Presley carving of a boxer.  I bought him.  I finally got photos of him to share.  I just noticed he has a hole in his shoe with a bloody toe!!!

    I am shocked.  My iPhone & my laptop synched perfectly today.

    The last couple of days were difficult for me.  Being rejected by people I care for hurts,  I was truly suprised this afternoon when I posted the last 2 days  were a bit difficult for me.  Someone I have known forever but recently added him as a friend answered me with an offer of help.  I am so surprised.  Made my day.  Truly!!

Several years ago there was a fire in the pasture south of my house. Very very close to me.  Sat on my porch & watched the firemen fight it,

Oh, to be there with my Swedish family.  Nothing but the dreams of fools.......

This was the favorite hang out when I was in high school.  It was in Salina KS.  We would start there then drive north on Santa Fe to almost the train tracks then back to Sandy's.  And start again.

My two favorite artists,  The first is Rodger Gerberding.  Second is Mike Hartung.  I work for him at the SVAFC most fridays.

This is so cool. Bought it in Utah when on a long bus trip.
