02/2026 - Måndag den 2:a - MY JOURNEY

 

Far too early for spring.  I am glad.  And a little hopeful.

Today's Name Day:  Disa, Hjördis

A friend in Australia has a daughter named Disa.  Never met her.  Only person I know of with that name.

    Not a bad day.  Cold night but a warmish day.;  I saw 46F.  Stayed cloudy all day.  I like that.  Makes driving easier for me.

    Saw my eye dr for a simple test only.  No big deal.  Not my favorite test but it went well.

    I am able to get my mail out of my mailbox..  And no chance of getting stuck.  Snow melted away.

    Weather man just announced there is rain/snow in our forecast.  I was anxious to hear when but what a disappointment.  Small area of snow or rain.  And maybe fog later.  Big deal.  Sure it will miss my farm.  Appears to stay west of me.

    After watching the national news I am going to have to write privately so I do not whine in my blog.  When oh when are the adults going to take control??

    My cousin in Kentucky is improving.  Good news.  Off the ventilator & can talk & move.  Nice to have good news in my life.

    Had a nice email from JL.  Photos from MM.  Another person who usually ends a photo sent one that was disgusting.  I have chosen to ignore.  What was he thinking.  Like an insult.

    Finally get a haircut tomorrow.  Has been at least 2 months since my last one.  Have to share a real photo of me tomorrow!!!  Will be a lot shorter!!

    Photos are like usual.  Started this blog with two drawings about whether we would get more winter.  We will.  I am glad.  Far too early for spring.  Although dozens of people are counting the days until spring.  I am not one of them.  Dread the hot, humid, buggy summer weather.  

                                                       

               

    

01/2026 - Tisdag the 06th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day,  Baltsar, Kasper, Melker

    Had a great day.  Slept good.  Pretty quiet though.  Several texts from MM.  Email from JL.  That was it.

    Had a list of things I wanted to do depending on how I felt.  Got it all done although one place had moved.  But found it ok.

    After lunch I drove to Salina  to pick up my new glasses.  I really like them.  Sturdier than the ones I have been wearing.  And a great color.  Very similiar to the pair I broke when I fell.

    Then off to Verizon to get a new iphone with lots of storage.  Had a nice guy help me.  He said the Iphone I have should be ok.  Well it is not.  I am always low on memory.  Take 3 photos & memory gone.  Then he tried to talk me into one with hardly any more storage.  I insisted I wanted one with  1 or 2 terabytes of memory.  He finally let me order one I wanted.  Gees.  Should not be so hard to get what I want.  He ordered me one & will be here in a week or so.  And the one I wanted is on back order.  No one wants those puny storage ones now.

    Too damn hot today.  Saw 65F at least.  How was an oven when I got home.  AC is on now but the temp is not moving.  It is 60F outside but stays at 76F in the house.

    Both cats were hiding when I got home.  No idea where they were sleeping.

    Weather is on now.  See how accurate they are.  Rain, then snow.  I am not excited yet.  They lie too often.

    Not in the mood for nasty comments on my group on Face Book,  Our Chinese restaurant is struggling to survive.  Good food but hard to get help.  Need repairs  in the kitchen now.  Not one supportive comment.  I deleted the snarky ones.  Too much negative stuff in life today.  I am sure it does not win me any friends.  Tough.

    Photos are snowy.  I keep hoping it will happen here.

Wintry AI me again.  I used to have my hair all blonde.  Hard on it.  Then switched to red.  And eventually added red streaks.

National Moscato Day

Today's Name Day: Reidar,  Reidun

    Had a very nice day.  What a surprise!!  Got up very early!!  I worried about getting sleep so I took an anxiety pill.  Worked perfectly.  Up by 8am & out the door at 915am to an eye appointment.

    Good appointment.  He usually dilates my eyes but did not today.  I am getting new lenses in my regular glasses & a new pair of glasses.  Nice lady helped me.  She has been there a long time so I know her.  Different lenses with something new & better.  The same with my coating I have on them.  Then an eye scan before going home.

    Stopped at Arby's for lunch,  Had my usual beef sandwich, apple turnover, & coke.  Great meal.  But I thought of Nico,  He always got some of my beef.  😓 

    Cinder was outside but came in for nap time.  And for the last half hour or so she came to lay on me.  Sharing a photo of us

    I do not watch any normal tv shows but I am watching the last few episodes of Sheldon.  I watced it until Covid was here & shut everything down.  Want to see how it ends.  The only other one I watch in Ghosts,  It is done for the season.

    Weather was ok.  Too warm but no wind. Always a plus.  Still saying rain this weekend but getting here earlier.  Have to pay attention at 10 when.  Especially since I work this weekend.  A meeting of string players meet on the one day,  I will enjoy that,  Something different.

    I try not to be political but just one word.  I hate war & it needs to stop.  

    Photos are all things I have taken & edited if necessary.  Fun to come home & see a turkey vulture sitting on my one light pole.  It is the leading vulture's roost.  Another was flying,  At night there is a tree where all the extra vultures roost all night.
