Today's Name Day:  Gudrun, Rune

    Had a better day.  My attitude is better but does not matter.  Still ignored & alone.

    Rather cold today.  Got some rain & the house was chilly.  I finally turned the heat up & added another layer of clothing.  Feeling better.  I have a nice insulated container that I am keeping hot water in.  Easy to make hot tea that way.  And more.

    Eating high on the hog tonight. Apple & cinnamon oatmeal, hot tea & a cookie. It warmed me up.  And tasted sooo good.  No sugar or anything else needed.

    Heard from MM early in the morning before the rain started.  Had an email from JL.  Nothing from any one else.

    Today is my great niece's birthday.  Turned 16.  Sent her a couple of cards.  She is so pretty!!

    I made a quick trip to Lindsborg to pick up meds.  Raining quite hard after lunch.  I got almost a third of an inch of rain.  Nice.YulBrynner

    When the yard dries up I will get my roll of tape & see if I can seal the screen in place.  All I can do.

    I chose not to nap but then got really tired.  Had a short nap.  Both cats slept close to me all afternoon.

Today's Name Day:   Jennifer, Jenny

In my box of fotos there are several of a childhood friend named Jennifer.  Wish I still knew her.  No idea where she is.  No one knows.  Unfortunately my last daughter-in-law is Jennifer.  I think many problems with my kids all started with her & her greediness.  The worker at Bethany Home who always drove Mom & I to Salina & Wichita to doctor's appointment.  She is a special person.  I see her in town once in a while.  She was & is a blessing.

    I woke up early today & my first thought was "work".  I thought I had another hour to sleep.  Then it hit me ----- Monday!!! No work!!  Very cool.  Back to bed!!

    Had a little rain today ----- 0.38".  Our usual nothing.  Stayed cloudy & cool.  I just turned my heat on.  Feeling better.

    After moving the box of photos out of one of the cats' nests they both laid in bed with me to nap today.  They will survive.  Several other nests remain.

    Not much communication today.  MM is working & has texted me several times.  His boys are back in Wichita.  I fear for them the neighbourhood they live in.  Got my one photo a day from CF.  Little communication.

    I have a doctor appointment this week but am cancelling it.  Will reschedule it.  Just too tired. 

    I wanted a collage app on my laptop.  I finally found a free one that works fine.

    Not happy with the weatherman.  Loving the cooler weather but he is all excited that the 80s are returning this weekend.  😫. But not for many days. Then more 60s & 70s.  😀

    I have mail on my porch to bring in but after supper.

06/2025 Sábado the 07th - JOURNEY

 

This is my cousin Gottfrid's kitchen window.  It looks out to a meadow where deer are seen often.  Past the trees is a river.  Heaven on earth.  Love staying with him.  He lived near Järvsö Sweden, far north of Stockholm.

Today's Name Day:  Robert, Robin

I have known several Roberts & at least one Robin. The best was Rob from Australia.

    Another day at home alone.  Hate being alone with no or little communication with anyone.  I tend to not text anyone that I know will not answer in any way.  I will just share things that people may or may not like.  The most I can hope for is a simple like.  Some get ignored.///

    Got to almost 90F here today.  No wind.  Had rain overnite.  I got a whopping 0.25".  Does not help our drought.  Sigh.........

    Felt ok mostly.  Took a short nap on the sofa.  Cinder curled on my chest.  Both cats laid in bed with me last night.  Here is a collage of them after we all woke up.  I am eternally thankful for both of them  Kisse is 12 years old.  The first video of Cinder on my porch is Feb. s1, 2022.  No clue how old she is.

    Not done much today.  Picked up mail from the porch.  Like to sit outside but there are alway bugs.  I opened the front door last night & got attacked moths.  In my hair!!!!  I sprayed stuff around the door & porch today some stuff that hopefully will drive them away.  Oh, the dreams of fools.........

    Found a new tv dinner of chicken alfredo.  One of the best I have had.  Very tasty & does not upset me stomach.  Glad I found it.  I hate to cook.  And it is a waste when it is only me.  Who would care???

    Not much else today.  A day of nothing much.  No cushy life for me just doing what I want & letting others make sure I get all I want & need.  I am rarely in a "getting" position.  I am doomed to be a "giver" only.  One friend is looking for someone to share her life with.  I cannot imagine ever being in that position.  There is no one in this world who could love me & want to spend his life with me.  Oh, the dreams of fools........

    Tomorrow is supper out.  If I feel ok.  If I don't 
stuck at home alone again.

This is Marstrand.  The yellow building where I ate breakfast & I shared with a gull & other birds.  Next to it is an open lot where my friend sold his paintings.  The white building next on the left was a restaurant.  They had great pizza.  Up a few blocks is where I slept.  On the front left is a blue ferry I took often to go to the mainland.  White building to the right of the yellow building was a shop.  Then right around the corner was somewhere I liked to go sit.  Great buildings.  The large buildibg on top of the city is a fort.  I never went to it.  Very steep.  I had hurt my feet walking on cobblestone.
