8/2026 - Wednesday the 19th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Måns , Magnus

I have known a Magnus since he was a child.  His grandmother would bring him to my Swedish Friendship group.  Now he is an adult married man.  Super nice.

    Today was an ok day.  Good night of sleep.  Less pain.  Always nice.  I had a spell of low blood sugar at the end of work & nothing to eat in my purse.  I never let that happen , but it did today.  I survived.  LL helped.  At supper treated myself to Mexican soda.  Too good for words.

    Finished one set of photos,  And started a new one.  Even found some photos with names & writing on them.  Always fun to share & see if anyone knows anything.

    There was rain in town this morning.  Nary a drop in my yard,  As usual,  We are officially in the drought area of Kansas,  Sad.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  My usual friends were off today.  Glad MA was working today.  He always talks when he has time.

    I noticed our one business in town selling used stuff was packed with people.  And so was our swimming pool,  It closes this sunday.  No more fun!!

    Did not sit out with Daisy today.  Will have time tomorrow.

    Need groceries tomorrow.  My next job.

Too die for!!!!

7/2026 - Friday the 17th- MY JOURNEY

 

Photos from work today.  The box is my new box of photos. Full!!

Today's Name Day:  Bruno

    Today was a good day.  I slept pretty good.

    I had a message from KN.  My front door ---- screen door ---- has been broken since one of our high wind storms.  But two days ago I could not keep it closed for anything.  I asked KN to come look at it to see if it was fixable. He fixed it except it needs a latch.  Will do that tomorrow.  I am so relieved.

    While eating lunch I spilled part of my juice in my lap.  Had to change clothes.  Dang.  What a clutch.

    Work was good.  But no one will help me with the error my scanner keeps making.  LL came home from her trip with a cold.  She stayed away from me so we did not get to talk.  I have a nose spray I use when ever I am not home.  It is good for 9 hours of killing germs, viruses, etc.  I think it helps.

    I finished a large box of photos.  And started a new huge box of more photos.  I am almost done with the first bunch.  Only 2 tiny photos left.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  As I left for home there was a huge rain cloud to the west.  Nothing here yet.  Dang.  Last chance for rain for at least 10 day.  Days of warnings for heat start this weekend.  Ick.  I hate summer.  I have a doctor's appointment on monday in Hutchinson.  I do not want to drive alone on the hottest day of the year.  Will change.  My safety is more important.

    I was so tired and tried to nap when I got home..  Failed.  But my laptop is working propertly.  For a change.

    Cinder came to find me when I got home.  I fed Daisy.  She gets fed one more time.  Not seen Kisse yet.  But I have not walked down the hall yet.

7/2026 - Friday the 10th- MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  André , Andrea

I have known an Andrea or two.  Went to school with one older than me.

    Today was a good day.  I worked at the Old Mill Musuem.  My scanner still does not work like I want but not a big problem.  Just a couple of extra steps for me.  Really nice to see everyone.

    My dozen Chicago cousins asked when I worked & I hoped they would come to see me.  But they must have had more important things to do.  I am sad.  I will never see then again.  Only on FB.  Think they leave on monday.  No time for me.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  A friend sat with us.  Nice visit.

    No rain here today.  And after tonight there is zero chance for rain for at least 10 days.  And temps all over 90F.  I hate summer.  Had a snow cone for dessert.  Cannot have one often.  Blood sugar gets too high.  Cool out now.

    Today is my great grandson Atlas's 6th birthday.  Celebrating on sunday.  He is a sweetheart.  Little older photo.  Kids are left to right: Sorion, Atlas, Junior.  Father is MM.

    Need to feed Daisy one more time.  Tomorrow maybe I can sit with her early in the day.  Too busy today.

    I am ready to rest in bed.  Tired.  Nothing tomorrow.  Gave her food & as I started to come back in a  large feral cat appeared.  White legs/feet with a the rest of her a very pale pale orange.  Gave Daisy extra where that cat could not see.

 

I try to ignore those who ignore me.
