Today's Name Day:  Bernhard, Bernt

    Had a good day.  Slept extra long since I went to bed early.  Tired.

    Today was a good work day.  I needed another 30 minutes to finish the photos I am working on.  They will wait until saturday.  Tired of them.

    AP had the most interesting phone call about some Old Mill stuff.  I had so much fun listening.  Super interesting things to come.  What a fun time to just listen.  And dream.  Cannot share anything else.

    Better weather today.  Little cooler, little less humidity.  Helped.

    Supper was at the Öl Stuga.  They were not busy.  CW had just finished working but was staying for a drink.  Great to see him.  And get a super hug.  The cook was J.  I knew him but not his name.  Our waitress was M.  I also knew her but not her name.  She also has called me Grandma!!  We chatted off & on.  She is fun.  I had their cheese burger with no chips & ate it with a knife & fork.  Also had my  spiced rum & coke.  Excellent.

    Dessert was my soft serve ice cream at the Barnyard creamery.  Yummy.

    Home with my cats.  Earlier than usual.

Expedition X is starting a new season.  Wow.  Not a rerun tonight.  They are in Ireland at an old old prison.  Scary place.  Scary show.

    Still focusing on blessing to things I go to.  One moment of anger & cussing.  Anger at me.  I get frustrated at things I cannot do easily anymore.  I am also trying to exercise some daily.  I have several I can do at work when LL is upstairs.  AP cannot see me.  I stay quiet.

    Many photos tonight are wintry due to all our heat.  It is getting cooler but won't last.  😞  Also some mixed ones.

This statue sat on a front porch for years.  Now is gone for a couple of years.  I know nothing about him.  Glad I got his photo.

                                           

07/2025 - Domingo the 27th - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Marta   

Best one was my Aunt Martha.

    Not a bad day.  Wish I had slept better.  But naps helped.  Cool overnight.  Miserable weather today.  I saw a temp of 98F.  Humidity was awful.  I hate summer.

    Had to meet MM at the Stuga.  I got there at 5pm.  Stuga was closed & locked up.  Never seen that.  They closed early for a pool party for those who work there.  MM & ZR were cleaning up.  I did not stay long.

    I then went to the car wash.  Car looks better.  JR & I ate at Pizza Hut.  I had a sallad.  So good.

    Since I ate a sallad, my blood sugar has been low 3 times.  Odd,  Should have went for ice cream but I was full

    Took a short nap when I got home.  Then up to try Spanish.  Very hard lessons now.  No fun.  But I made it through tonight's lesson.

07/2025 - Miércoles the 23th- JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Emma, Emmy

I have know several Emmas or Emmys

    Had a better day.  Not less pain.  I am just handling it better.  No one understands.  I always hurt.  Whether I look or act like it or admit it.  If anyone can help me in any way I am always grateful.  But most people just do not care how I feel.

    I met MM at the Öl Stuga for a half hour or so.  And to see CW, a good friend.  He owed me a hug!!!  I collected it!! He is a nice friend.  I appreciate him.  And good to see MM.  He always hugs me a lot & cares.  And offers help whenever he is able.

    Weather was unbearable.  High was low 90s.  But felt much worse.  The air was so heavy.  It was a blessing to work in the basement.

    We have a slight chance of showers tonight & tomorrow.  And a little cooler.  But heat over the weekend.

    When I was leaving the Stuga I heard someone calling my name.  It was a friend I have not seen in ages.  We had a nice visit.  I miss her friendship.  But she has many other friends that I am not part of.  

    Worked at the Old Mill.  Finished the batch of photos I was working on.  Started on the last half of this bunch.  These are worse then the first half.  Sheesh.

    I posted the photo of men all with the same first name.  One man was unknown.  Put it on Lindsborg Nostalgia.  Got a name almost right away.  Turned out not to be a local man.  He worked at a radio station.  Many knew him though.  Fun photo.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  MA had photos of a local guy who went on vacation to Mexico & got to visit someone who used to work at Jalisco's but is now home there.  What fun photos to see!!

    MM is back to working some.  I am glad for him.  He has 2 really good & supportive friends he works with.  I am grateful to them for all their help & support.

    Going anywhere is now a struggle.  Cannot get to Assaria.  A bridge is out over the interstate.  Replacing it won't be done until november.  Driving to Lindsborg is closed for 10 days.  Had to take back roads.  Trying to go from Lindsborg to McPherson that highway is closed for 10 days also.  Only way to get here is interstate.  Sheesh.  What a pain.

    My glucose sensor ended this afternoon.  After supper I added a new one at home.  Hope my new supply gets here soon.

    Tomorrow is lunch out with 3 friends.  If we have rain tonight what back road will not be too muddy drive on.  Sheesh.  Maybe forget lunch.  Have my eye dr appt.  I can get there on paved roads.
