7/2026 - Sunday the 5th- MY JOURNEY

 

Wish I was there.  I loved Hawaii.  Beautiful & nice people.

Today's  Name. Day:  Ritva , Laila

    Today was a good day.  I slept good & am walking pretty good.  Nice.  Cats ate fair overnight.  Normal.  Daisy always eats whatever I give her.

    I keep hoping for changes outside but nothing ever changes.  I will keep hoping.  And talk to my guardian angels.  Maybe they can help.  I refuse to beg.

    I was supposed to see someone at work today but I was sure it would not happen.  And I was right.  No surprise.

    Had two visitors at work.  One is working on the upcoming show in October at the gallery y Bethany College.  Sounds really great!!  The other is my family.  I have always known we are related but he was clueless.  We had a great visit.  Art, politics, family, his parents.  I really like him!!

    Got a text from someone wanting me to work in August for her.  Great!!  I warned MH I would need him.

    I planned to watch Norway & Brazil live at work.  What a joke.  Nothing worked.  JR looked up the score at supper.  I was quite excited!!! Norway won!!!  Very cool.  Even a friend in Sweden was rooting for them!!!  Now at home is England & Mexico.  Hoping for a Mexico win.

    Supper was at Pizza Hut.  I got a very nice hug & he made sure I was ok.  Nice to be cared for. He is the best. I ordered something I thought I liked.  Not hungry.  Came home & had a cookies.

    Did my Spanish lesson & it was actually easy.  How did that happen!!  I have quit pushing my self.

Where I work at the Old Mill.  I work in the basement of this building with my scanner & photos.

Turkeys in my yard.  When Willie was alive he would clean out the combines here & the turkeys liked it.

Seven years ago we cut Willie's last wheat he sowed.  Seems like yesterday.  A day full of tears & laughter.  I fed them pizza.  Never spent that much in Pizza Hut!!!

                                                                     

           

6/2026 - Monday the 29th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Petra , Peter

I have known many Peters.  Most unusual one was a solist for the Messiah Chorus.  He happened to find my blog & read it.  Cool.  I grew up with a Peter all through school.  Even had a crush on him in junior high.  He was supposed to be here for our reunion but did not make it.  My best friend in life was Peter I met at the hospital.  He worked in xray.  We hung around a lot together & with his best friend of Danny.  Oh, the fun we had.  They lived in California & London UK.  We kept in touch.  Then he lived in Wichita for a long time & in Great Bend.  His mom & sister lived there also.  We visited his mom often.  She was in a  assisted living home.  Lordy, I miss him & her so much.  Both are gone.

    Today was horrid weather.  I saw 94F here that feels like 104F plus winds around 40mph.  Hate hot weather.  I keep telling myself that each day is another day closer to cooler weather.

    I slept very good.  Fell asleep early & slept good.  I had plans to run an errand in town but canceled it.  What I needed I do not have.  Will take care of it next week.  Just stayed home & rested.

    Just got package from FedEx.  Will force myself to go outside.  But I was lucky.  Box right by my door.  Daisy asleep somewhere.  Easy pick up!!

    All of Kansas is under horrid weather today.  Many cities have cool places for people to go to get a break or to stay overnight.  Some places are just for men or just families.  My town has nothing like that.  There are places they can go in & sit if needed.  Maybe a filling station overnight.  Not sure.

    Cinder has slept by my tv this afternoon.  I got a photo of her in a weird postion.  No idea where Kisse is.  Forgot to check the bedroom.  Got new cat food for them to try.  See how that goes.

    Got a sweet video of one of my great grandsons telling me he loved me & blowing me a kiss!!!  Made my day!!!

A very old sign along the former highway between Lindsborg & Salina.  Made in the 1920s.  Our historical group have replaced with a new one looking just like this one.  But made so it will last a long time.

6/2026 - Sunday the 28th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day;  Leo

I have known several Leos here in Kansas or the US.  Not close friends, though.

    Today I had a lunch date.  Got up early to dress, do my makeup, & hair.  But one great grandson got sick. They cancelled. At least I was ready for supper then.  Had a great nap!!!  Just checked my makeup & hair.  All was good!!!

    We had supper at Pizza Hut.  They did my supper wrong so for me it was free.  Nice.  Thanks, KK!!  Good guy!!

    It was far too hot today.  I saw 97F.  I hate hot weather.  Awful.  The feels like temps were 106F.  Little cooler on tuesday & wednesday.  Winds today were 40mph.

    I sat outside for a while tonight with 4 mosquito stickers on.  Nice breeze.  I fed Daisy May & then she crawled all over me & we bonded some more.  She purred & cuddled.  She is sweet.  No camera with me tonight.  Too dark.

    I have one mosquito bite on my right arm.  Drives me crazy.  I usually dab on some pain cream.  That stops the itch for a while.  I usually have some near wherever I am.

    Saw MM late this afternoon briefly.  He was cooking supper for the boys.  Offered me to take some home but I have food here.  Next time!!

    I am working the gallery on the holiday weekend.  I have no friends or family to celebrate with.  I might as well work for someone who has both friends & family so he can celebrate.  I would rather be there than sitting at home alone.
