02/2026 - Torsdagen den 12:e - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Evelina,  Evy

    Had a good day.  Lunch at Jalisco's with MM & Atlas.  He is sweet!!!  Hugs & fun visit.

    Then I went to wash my car.  Full of old mud.  Atlas went to the park to play & then home to make Valentine cards.  If I am lucky, I might get one!!!  Be the only one I get!!!  But a special one!

    Got home & decided to tackle getting my new desk in by the sofa.  Not as easy as I thought it would be.  But it finally went.  I need to adjust the sofa but that is another day.  I fell once & it was a half fall & no problem to get back up.  I have a small chair I sit on & it tipped over.  Thought I would be there all night.  Bad fall.  Took me forever to get turned & back up.  Work tomorrow is questionable.  Finally made it.  But had stuff that still had to be done.  Took trash out & flattened several boxes.  No where to put them at the moment.  The box the desk came in is huge.  Crammed it between the trash bins.  Maybe slip the flattened boxes there also..

    Came home last night & all my boxes were gone.  What a blessing!!  Saw KN at lunch today so I could thank him!!!!  And we had a nice chat.

    Sat outside for a while.  Quiet.  Only saw a hawk flying.  No cattle or deer or anything. No wind either.

    We have rain forecast for half an inch on friday through saturday.  Not enough.

    I am aching all over.  And have to fix supper.  No bueno.  Olympics soon.

06/2025 - Viernes the 20th - JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Linda

I have known so many Lindas.  Best friend in junior high.  Cousin.  Class mates.

    

    Had a better than great day!!  I decided to skip my Swedish Friendship Group.  Stomach was upset yesterday so I chose just to sleep.

    Taking my meds just make me feel sick.  Just the thought of taking them makes me queasy.  Too many.  Feeling sick now.

    Lunch was with LL as usual on friday.  I was lucky to get a table for us.  Not "our" table but better than no table.  Had good conversation.  I always look forward to friday lunch.

    Work at the SVAFC.  First time in 2 weeks.  Not sure I have ever had so many visitors.  A fun day!!

    First visitors was a couple from Colorado with the goldendoodle.  Their dog was not at all fond of heat & humidity.  They came in & he laid on our carpet & we could here him sigh "air conditioning"!!!  He fell asleep.  I told them he was saying to them to go around town on their own, let him sleep, & come back when they were ready to leave.  His name was Fenway Park, Esq.  They sat & chatted with me for a while.  So much fun!!

    Next 2 men came in from Scottsdale Arizona.  They were friendly & pleasant.  Then much later 2 other men came in from Scottsdale Arizona!!!  They did not know the first 2 men who were in.

    JH spent a lot of time the gallery.  I always enjoy his company.  We feel like we have known each other for years.  We have not but I worked for his step mom & he said they always talked about me.  And he still likes me!!!  😋.  A miracle!!

    I got very little time alone.  I had no time time to get sleepy.  Each work day should be the same.

    Super hot & humid day.  I saw 100F my car.  We were in a wind warning.  There were gusts from 40 to 50mph.   But it kept the mosquitos off of me getting the house.

    Went to the car wash after work.  It was way overdue!!!

    Two more work days then a day off!!!  See what next week brings.

    When I got home Cinder immediately sat in the window looking out in the yard.  Kisse immediately curled up next to me & fell asleep.  That was odd.  Usually she needs to be petted.  Not today.  Just snuggles.  Sweet.

    Special on the TV of Grammy winning songs,  who wrote them & the story behind them.  Not bad.  Better than reruns.

    Today is the "real" Midsommarsdag in Sweden.  Ours is never on the right day.  So my blog photos are all Midsommarsdag.  Today is actually Midsommarsafton  ---  night before Midsommarsdag.  But it all starts today.  Be fun to have been there once for it.   Should have went there once & then just stayed & never come back here.  How different life would be then.

My Swedish family at the summer home in Boana Småland Sweden.  I got to stay there my first trip to Sweden.  There are 3 homes here.

Sad day for me.  Nico died today a year ago at around 230 pm.  I hurt every day missing him.  Just not right.  Photos are of Nico.

Today's Name Day:  Alfred, Alfrida

Alfred is a special name for me. A cousin from Kentucky on my dad's side.  We are the same age.  Wish he was in FB but we text each other.

    I had a really busy day!! But it was all good.  Started with lunch with my grandson MM at Jalisco's.  Short meal.  He had a list of things to do like I did!

    I had an hour from lunch to work time so I fueled the car & then went to the car wash.  Needed to go to the bank but no parking places.  Round the block I went about 4 times before  someone left.

    Then work time.  Great to be there.  LL had been to California for Christmas so I had missed her.  She did text me a few times while gone.  I did not get done all I wanted to.  I will post blizzard.  Had a few photos with no names on them but the more I looked at them I recognized a few.  One photo I knew exactly who to send it to for an answer.  One photo I knew who they are but only know the first name.  Then I will be done with Folder W.  Then Folders X, Y, Z.  Not looked at them yet but cannot have many photos in them.

    Supper was back to Jalisco's.  I treated myself to steak.  For my birthday.  I had decided to take myself to Olive Garden for my birthday on sunday noon.  I refuse to drive at night especially since my eyes are so bad I can barely see or read.  No one worries about I feel or what I need.  My laser procedure will help,  This year I am taking care of ME.  Few people care how I am.  Or care what I need.  I know those who do.  And anyone who wants to eat with me at noon on a special day must get up & come with.  If you do not want to go out to eat with me on a special day then stay home.  This year is about me for a change.

    Jalisco was unusually busy tonight!!  Like it is everyone's last meal for a while.  Probably is.  It was packed.

    Supper then groceries.  I made sure that the cats & I are ok.  We should be unless the electricity goes off.  I sure hope not.  MM told me he would make sure we are OK.  Only one who told me that,  But MA told me if I needed a burrito or margarita he would drive them out to me.  Bless his heart!!!

    Grandson MM has said he would take me to my eye procedure at the hospital.  It is not his usual day to work.  I might have KN on call also. Just think having a driver would be easier on me.  Will have blurry vision & hopefully no pain.  I feel positive about this.

    Blizzard this weekend.  Ice tomorrow.  Up to an half inch.  Then up to 14 inches of snow.  And up to 40 mph winds.  Chances of loss of power.  Been there done that.  No fun!!! That is a worry.  Another storm in a couple of weeks,  No idea how bad or anything. yet
