06/2025 - Lunes the 16th - JOURNEY

 

 I took my nap as usual.  No cat joined me.  When I got up the tv was turned on.  I had left it off.  Hmmmm.  😊.  I assume one of them stepped on the remote.

Today's Name Day:  Axel, Axelina

Have known or known of many Axels, some are family.

    A very quiet day.  I was just too. tired to do anything.  So I cancelled everything.  No major explanations.  At least not here.  Slept most of the day.

    Got hot again but with a nice breeze.  I saw at least 91F.  I had mail to sort through on the porch.  Not bad to be out.  Too much mail..  Monthly stuff  ----  cat food, paper goods, glucose tabs, soft drinks, & such.  Just time consuming to open & sort through.

    Severe weather is still forecast for tomorrow.  I am still in the worst area.  Hope it does not come here.  Harvest is more important at this time.

    Got a letter from my RA clinic that they had to change my appointment date for a different date at 830am.  Not gonna happen.  I have an almost 2 hour drive,  I sleep poorly, & hate mornings.  Will call tomorrow to change.  Hope my girl has not quit.

    Gotta find a time to go to Hutch to get meds.  Hopefully this week.  Also need  to get my car oil changed.  Maybe next week.

    One family member is no longer considered family.  She showed her true colors on Father's Day.  And she has been lying to me.  I am done with her.  Very sad.  She hurt someone I love.  And a father.

National TV Talk Show Host Day

I never listen/watch any daytime talk shows.  Do not like them.  But I enjoy the late night ones.  They are funny & interesting.  But I miss Johnny Carson, Letterman, Jack Paar, & more.

Today's Name Day: Severin, Sören

    I had a great day!!  And slept like a baby all night!!  ;Partly because it was sooo cold that once I found a warm spot I dared not move again!!!  😰. Turned the heat on when I got up & the AC on before going to work.  Tired of this.  Pick a nice cool temp & stay there!!!

    Work was good.  When I got there LL met me at my car & was on her way to get drinks from the White Peacock.  I got green tea with strawberry flavoring.  My new fave.  Soooo gooood.   

    At work I finished Folder "P".  Plus I went through a large box of Hyllningsfest photos & added some names & shared a few online.  A productive day.

    On the way to work there was a helicopter flying low over the high school..  Hope they were just practicing landing at the hospital or high school practice foot ball field,  They use both in an emergency.  Hope no patients were involved.  Wish I had gotten a photo of it.

    Before supper I took some photos of gorgeous trees in town.  They are my photos today.  Or part of them.

    Supper was Mexican food.  I had a hot dog & fries.  Ate too much for lunch.  Dessert was Barnyard Creamery.  I had a small serving.  Will get a small from now on.

    Went home & took photos of stars.  Sharing one in my photos.  Took 7 photos & 4 turned out ok with some editing.  I was  sure I would see nothing tonight.  What a pleasant surprise.

    My new cream for pain seems to be working great.  Little pain at work.  Will try the pain pills tomorrow.

    I grabbed a sweater to wear today for warmth.  I am throwing it out.  I knew it was roomy but the full length mirror in the work lavatory was an awful sight.  Could wear it at home but not in public.

18 june, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

Father's Day

    Slept good last night.  All kids were good.  Kisse was craving attention so she was all over me & the bed for a long time!  That is ok.  She ignores me often.    

    The weather is pretty nice.  Stayed in the 80s with no wind.  Harvest is at a standstill.  Another day or two & they will be back at it.  I emptied my rain gauge.  Over 2 days I got a whopping 1 inch.  Not much.  Someone in town had over 2 inches.  Not a lot of chances for rain, but that can change in a minute.  Temps will be in the 90s.  What joy.

    JR & I went to Pizza Hut.  Best pizza in town!  Found out our fave waiter is moving to another school.  Dang, I will miss him.  But maybe he will stay in touch.  Maybe not.

    When we left I suddenly felt ill.  Why???  Skipped ice cream.  Got home OK & now all is well.  Nico & I had a cookie.  Got new ones.  They are so thin so will be good for a late night snack.

    I have been buying some new clothes that fit better.  My old huge ones are ok for home.  Comfy.

    No Father's Day celebration here.  No father now.  Tis life.  Used to go out to eat & got him a card.  My kids never did anything for their father.  Daughter left our family for 23 years.  Son just did not care.  When they were little we always did things for him.  But they never did as adults.  I did not raise them like that.  Or to each be on their 3rd spouse.

    Scared to even write about Nico but so far so good.  Not sure why.  I have left the tv off.  Is that helping?

17 june, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Had a great day!!!  Slept good.  Nice.  Did take a pill.  I had major anxiety so I needed it.  I was up early since it was a work day.

    I worked at the SVAFC today.  I got there early & they were already open.  They had a mural to paint in the back.  I ran the front & others were in the back.  Had some slow moments but at other times we were full!!  Fun to meet tourists & locals. 

    A lady I know came in.  We do not hang out or anything, we just know each other.  She sat down to chat with me & she said "Oh, my!  You have lost weight."  She is the only one who has noticed or complimented me on it.  Only one!!!!  I have lost 3 dress sizes & no one can see that?  I am just not noticed or important in the least.  My fave online game is a word find.  A game earlier tonight was "Things grandparents need".  I have not even one of those things.  No surprise.

    I played with my iphone & played with apps to see what they did.  I need to delete tons of them!  But I had fun.

    When I got there a lady was painting in the back.  She went to where she worked & got me an ice tea.  How nice.  The lady in charge had her boyfriend get her 4 Vikings on a stick.  But she only got 3.  She ended up giving me the extra one.  Best supper I have had in ages!!  I could make them myself but too lazy.  Would be worth it though!!

    Viking on a stick is a Lindsborg creation.  They have Swedish meatballs & squares of Swedish rye bread.  They put them on skewers & dip them in Swedish pancake batter & then fry them.  Heaven on earth!!

    I sat outside with Nico.  Miserable.  Felt humid & little breeze.  Rain all last night, but none today.  Severe storms maybe later tonight here.  Time will tell.

    Things were pretty good but Nico had a bad moment then a much worse moment.  I locked him out of one area.  That sort of stopped him.  Hopefully he will calm down.  May have to go outside for awhile.  Spoke too soon.  Got a hold of something he should not have.  I finally got it all away from him.  But I am in much pain.  What is wrong with him???  Have given up.  Locked him in the hallway.  May be out nightly habit.  I do not deserve to be mistreated so badly.  I just ordered 2 more baby gates.  See if that helps.

    I texted off & on with my grandniece this afternoon.  A nice way to get to know her.  I do not get to do much family stuff with anyone, so this helps.  She is not in junior high, I do not think.

16 june, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Slept good last night.  Except for increased pain.  Everytime I got up I applied pain cream.  Same today.  Mostly back pain but several other places too.

    Last night when Nico, Cinder & I were outside, we had a toad near us.  They were interested in it but no one was stupid enough to pick it up.

    I am sure harvest continues, but nothing near me.  Miss it.  Had my harvest yesterday.  Nothing more for me.

    So far Nico is ok.  I do not understand him.  One minute he is biting me, then he curls up next to me.  Crazier than I am!

    We got no rain last night & none is forecast tonight.  Tomorrow we are to maybe have some.  It can wait.

    I cancelled today.  Hurt too much & simply did not feel like getting dressed & driving anywhere.  Wish I knew someone to deliver supper to me.  But there is no one.

    Tomorrow is Lindsborg's Midsommarsdag celebration.  I used to go but they changed parks & the one now is far too hot.  Not enough trees & too high temps.  And I cannot walk far or stand.  I have other things to do this year.

    Feels warmer today.  Or more humid.  Did not enjoy being outside.  Last night was so perfect.  Oh to have a screened in porch to sleep in.....  No such luck.  Amazon has something that could work but there would still be bugs.  I hate bugs.  A moth hit my head last night.  Yuck!
