Today's Name Day:  Fatima, Leila

    Pretty good day.  Slept good when I finally fell asleep.  Had a thunderstorm around 3am.  Had some thunder & lightning.  I got a total of 0.68".  More than usual.  Nice.  Today stayed cloudy & dry.  Pretty cool.  Nice.  Hope this weather lasts for a long time.

    Lunch with girlfriends was cancelled.  Will meet next week.  I was tired so not upset.

    Jalisco's reopened.  Totally new look.  Will miss the brick walls.

    Met my artist friend RG.  We met at the Sale BARn.  I was a bit early & got to make friends with our waitress & the owner of the business who is also the cook.  Got bad news though.  RG is leaving earlier than he & I thought.  He goes home on saturday.  Dang.  I love his company.  He is fun to talk to but I always talk too much. Probably since I an lonely often.  Next year he is not here until September.  Too long to wait.  We have decided to make phone calls.  Be nice.

    Lowering my insulin is better so far.  RA sucks big time.  Awful.

    When I headed for home I noticed how low my fuel was.  Yikes!!!  Thank goodness I was still in town.  Close call.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 216......

 Mostly a good day. Very cold with the strong winds. High in the 40s. Took the house forever to warm up this afternoon. Hard to crawl out of my warm, cosy bed!! 

Lunch at Jalisco's. Yesterday and friday they were swamped with business. Today very quiet. That was ok. Had time to chat with the help. I talked JS into removeing his mask for just a second. I took a photo of him from SnapChat where they alter your face. I sure giggled! He said he will never remove his mask again!!! I do that to my brother too. He never giggles as much as I do! And today I picked on Nico also. He is so cute!!

Stopped at the cemetery and visited Willie. I talk like he can hear me. Went home feeling empty. Just not right. Had 2 friends I visited also. One has 2 new grandbabies. I always talk about them near him. I drove home in tears. I managed not to cry yesterday but did a little when I got home last night. Best to grieve alone. No need to bore anyone else even if I might need someone.

I had fun playing with photos today. Took photos in one local yard. Great display. Will have to share in the future. There is a couple here today. Also today are some snow photos from 7 years ago. A friend who lives in Rapid City SD has shared photos today. They had snow. Sooo jealous!! 

   

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 191....

Today was a too quiet day. Had to cancel therapy since I got NO sleep last night. I even tried going to the sofa and it was worse than the bed. Finally got some sleep this morning. Slept until 1230.

Yesterday JR and I had supper at Jalisco's. Hard to imagine that the ONLY place in town to get a burger and fries is at the Mexican restaurant. And a good hamburger! I get the white Mexican cheese on mine.

After supper we drove out to Coronado Heights to await the setting sun. A couple who ate at the restaurant was out there too. They were really friendly. Very nice.

The views from there are wonderful. We live in the Smoky Valley and from the hill looking down in the valley you can see the blue haze. It is always there. There is a castle built up there done by the WPA.

The sun was awesome. The smoke is getting less. Probably good for all. My photos are not as good as the other day. JR takes awesome photos. I should post his instead of mine. 

At the base of the hill is a cemetery. Willie is buried there as is my grandson's father and my best friend John. And lots of family. I will be near my great great grandparents. For me it is like coming full circle. And close to John.

When I got home last night a deer was in my front yard near my house. Never got a photo. He never stopped. Fun to see.

   

  

The Plague, Day 140......

Great weather day. Slept good last night but still needed a nap. Sat out this afternoon but saw mosquitos. Just out now sprayed with bug repel. Gag!! Smells awful. But it works.

I had not found a feather for such a long time. When you find one it is a message from someone who has passed or from an angel. Nico found one for me just now. It is a bit wet but will be ok.

Wheat field got burned behind my house. I was napping when KN wrote me. I woke up it smelled odd in the house. Then I saw my text. Mostly out now.

Photos are old ones, nothing special other than the one of Willie and his dog Jo. How I miss those days. Was nice not to be so alone and left out of life.

Found a neat site on FB about silence. I need to just live a life of silence. I should leave FB. I do not fit in there either. Will I ever find my niche? And friends?
