    No blog again today.  Just not up to it.  I am some better but not totally ok.  Not posting about it.  If you know you know.  Most people don't care.

    Cool weather with sprinkles.  Good sleep weather.  Rested most of the day.  Spanish lessons going well.

    Had an email from a friend & MM has sent me many texts today.  He is at a funeral.  Sort of ignored by most others.

Innergize Day

......on the day after the Autumnal Equinox offers an opportunity to relax and rejuvenate. This is a day for you!

Since fall has officially arrived, it's time to shift gears. The fast pace of summer activities passes by now. Languid autumn days provide tranquil sunsets and peaceful moments. These are the times to focus on your personal well-being. Do things you enjoy that make you feel good about yourself. Let stress and worry fade away for the day.

    I have had a good day.  Much better mood than last night.  Still upset with a decision I am having to make but I should be used to the facts of my life.  They seem to stay the same.  Must be Karma from a past life.

    I slept fair & had both cats cuddle at different times.  Cinder does it the most.  Kisse is next to me at the moment.  Glad she is doing that more often.  And she is "bathing" now also.

    MM treated me to lunch today.  We had Mexican.  I tried something new & it was good. Could not eat it all but that is ok.  Helps my weight.  Had a good visit.  I bought my great grandsons 4 books & will deliver them on thursday.  They are rhyming books & cute!!  I have a fun bag to put them in also.

     I went to Assaria to have a small adjustment done to my car.  Fun to see my mechanic.  He is one of the all time nicest people I know.  Always makes me smile & feel good.

    Home to tackle a project I have had.  I bought a small ice machine.  Soooooo.  I cleared off where I wanted it.  And gathered lots of trash to throw out.  The machine was heavier than I thought it would be.  I had trouble getting it out of the box but it finally worked.  Read the directions & double checked the drain.  Filled with water & chose small cubes.  The noise always gets Kisse's attention each time they drop!!  

    I am going to pay big time for all the lifting I did.  I called KN & he will come tomorrow to rearrange my trash bins & put the bags of trash in them that I will throw out in the morning.  I hated to call him but I pretty much know how bad I will feel tonight & tomorrow.  He is the best.  He should have said no.  I hate to ask anything of anyone.  My pain is my problem.  I am used to always being the one who gives to everyone else.  Not used to anyone giving or doing for me.  I won't get used to it that is for sure.

    I have waited for my diabetic dr to call for almost a week.  I called again today.  Ridiculous.  But they called back this afternoon.  Finally!!! I can go tomorrow to get my insulin needles.  Hope they are better than the ones from my pharmacy here.  Those are awful.

    Fuel was really cheap yesterday.  Nice for a change.  BUT.  It dropped another dime overnight!!!  I was on fumes so I could not have waited.

National Lemon Juice Day

Today's Name Day: Hampus, Hans

    What a day!!! Sometimes you have a day that is perfect beyond perfect.  I wish every day was like today.

    Started with lunch at Jalisco's with RG & another friend.  Our friend's husband just had surgery & had to stay home.  Next time.  We had a nice visit.  A goodbye lunch with RG.  He goes home tomorrow.  Maybe returning in october for a few days.  Next long stay is next august.  Must try to text more often.  Miss him.

    Then home to get ready to take my car to Assaria for an oil change.  Unfortunately the county is working on my stupid road leading to home.  And you have to wait for a pilot car.   😱. There is a right way to do things & then there is the Saline County's way to do things.  Grrr.  I sat in line waiting the the blessed pilot car for over half an hour..  All sorts of vehicles came & went but NO pilot car.  I just needed to go one mile to my road.  One short mile but the guy with the flag was none too friendly.  I dared not ask anything.  So I sat for well over 30 minutes........scared I would be late for my appointment in Assaria.  FINALLY the pilot car arrived.  I had a loooong line of cars behind me.  The pilot car had ----- ONE!!!!!  What?  Was he taking a break in Falun???  Grrrr.

    I made it to Assaria in good time.  There are 2 booths inside the little shop at the filling station.  One was full of boxes of candy, chips, etc.  I asked if they fixed a lunch for me???  

    A man came in & asked if he could sit with me.  And did we ever talk.  He remembered Willie, my son who worked at the elevator there years ago, my nephew, my farm, my family & many not with us now..  It was so fun to laugh at things that can usually make me cry.  He had coffee with Willie often but he saw no dementia. Nice to hear.  There were several local happenings we talked about.  He remembered when Willie had his brain stroke & 

died a week later.  It was the best afternoon.  Be fun to see him again but won't happen.  He farms & has a wife.  And occasional coffee would be fun.  But I have good memories.

    Changing my oil did not go good for my guy.  In the process a man came in & needed fuel.  No problem but when  the fuel was in, they could not open the tractor door.  Locked with the keys locked inside.  We were clueless & my guy 

got no sympathy from us.  Laughter, yes.  😀

    I think I may start to drive there to get sodas & chips & cookies.  Big selection & I can see what they have.  

    Cinder went out yesterday when I went to work,  And she never went out again. I tried.  And today when I got up  she did not go outside,  I got up, got dressed, & she just looked at me.  Came back from Assaria & she just looked at me.  Odd. Right before I att supper, she went out. There is rain west of us so I am watching closely.  I think I can smell rain,  Do not see any yet here.  It is close..

    What a day I had today!!  Another good day!  Amazing!!  Slept fair.  But my power drink from V8 helps.  Nothing harmful in it.  Just tasty.

    I had an appointment in Assaria for an oil change.  Good to see the owner.  He is a nice guy & likes to joke!

    I had thought about going to Salina to Verizon.  But I had talked myself out of going.  Until I got in my car.  Oil change did not take long.  Sooooo off to Salina I went.    I decided on the phone & the watch.  Then to get the best deal.  Problem.  My grandson's phone was a problem.  He is on my account.  And I tried to call him but no answer from him or his fiance. But it all turned out ok.  I got really great discounts, a new rate, & great money back.  Their servers were slow & I have far too much on my phone.  Took forever but I ran an errand & it finished.

    I picked up Arby's for supper.  And I am not happy.  The guy waiting on me was hard to understand.  I ordered a beef sandwich, apple turnover, & Arby's sauce.  Turnover was cherry & no sauce.  It was ok but what was wrong with that guy?

    I had trouble getting FB on my new phone.  I have yet to get it to work on my laptop.  So much stress.  But by hook & crook I finally got it to work on my phone & then my laptop.  I jumped through a lot of hoops!!  Also had trouble getting gmail on my phone but then it worked.  Too much stress.  Had to get my iPad to see things on it.  There was a time period that I couldn't see my FB group!!  But there were no crises on it!!

    Weather was cooler today.  Light shower at home & drove through mist.

    The road I take to Lindsborg is closed for 2 months for work.  So have been driving the back roads.  In the process I have driven but several wheat fields we used to farm.  Brought back memories.  So Willie has been on my mind.  And seeing cattle back here.  Then I got to Verizon.  I had a really nice & patient worker whose name was Willie.  Wonder if my Willie was behind that?!  I really liked him.  He did all he could to get me a good deal.

02 february, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    I had a good & busy day.  All good stuff.  I slept good & that was nice.  Not much pain overnight.

    I started the day in Assaria getting the oil changed in my car.  I had cancelled it 3 or 4 times.  Nice to get that done.

    Then KN changed my front door handle for a new one.  What a blessing!!  Easy to open & close & lock.  The screen door is a lost cause.  Probably have to remove it sometime.  There is no replacement for it anymore.

    After my door fixed KN bladed my drive way & filled a hole that washed out with a heavy rain last summer.  Nice driving now!

    JR & I went to Jalisco's for supper.  It was literally dead in there.  Few customers.  Nice to see everyone though.

    Just talked to JS & his friend made it here out of state.  Tomorrow they pack everything up in the truck.  Hopefully I get to eat supper with them.  Then they leave on saturday.  I do not want to cry.  This is a happy time for them.  I can cry alone.

    Working on genealogy earlier.  Found lots of info on my cousin who was a pilot & crashed & died in Vietnam.  Makes me so sad.  Only 24.  And a newly wed.  What a wasted life.  He would have had a good life.  We should not have been there.

    Nico has his schedule of when we eat, treat, & go to bed.  Now Cinder is doing the same for bed time.

    Early today Nico was out to potty.  There was a kitty under the car.  It constantly meowed.  Sounded really young.  I cannot afford to feed another cat.  OMG!!

05 august, 2022 Wandering

    Today was a great day!!!!  Took my car to Assaria & had the new part installed.  It feels odd to go the speed limit!!  Instead of creeping to save fuel.  It did not take very long & did not cost very much.  I had some animal poo on my hood & I asked if he could wash it off.  I guess he got lots of jokes!!!  Gives them something to talk about!!

    I managed time for a short nap.  Sleep was elusive last night.  I finally gave up & moved to the sofa.  Then I slept.

    JR, PM, & I had supper at Jalisco's.  I treated myself to carne asada. (steak)  It was awesome tonight!!  Been a year or two since I ordered it.  Business was steady.  JS had a moment of totally getting to me!  He was still laughing when I left.  He is good for my soul.

    Last night JS called me to check to make sure I am ok  How nice that was.  Nice to have someone who cares to check.  I told him so.
