7/2026 - Monday the 13th- MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Joel , Judit

I have 3 friends named Joel.  Have a cousin named Judy.  She is sick now & in a home.  Went to school with a Judith.  I enjoyed visiting with her at our class reunion.  Wish she lived closer.  Wonder if she would meet for lunch if I drove to see her?  Willie was in school with a Judy

    Today is rather stressful, but I am surviving.  Yesterday was my great grandson Atlas's 6th birthday.  He chose to have it at the Öl Stuga.  It was so much fun.  I saw several friends I do not get to see often.  Met friends of MM's whose names I knew & we all liked each other.  Must plan to see them again.  And a barmaid from Hamburg Germany.  She calls me Grandma!  Love it!

    The boys had lots of fun.  I had supper & so did they.  And cupcakes.  I also had a mimosa.  Nice.  I got lots of hugs.  A worker from Jalisco's came in & sat with me.  And gave me tons of hugs. While he drank lots of beer!!

    We were in the small patio & the boys & others were on the large patio also.  I just wanted to be in the shade.

    MM paid my bar tab.  I told him not to do that but it was still nice.  Saying goodbye to MM, boys, his girlfriend, & a good friend of mine.  Nice nice hugs & several "I love you's". was the best.  Must at least text him often.  And he got his band back together so I am going to see them when they open a dance for another band.  Fun.  Always wanted to see him perform!!

    My laptop is not working right.  Irritating.  Today is better.

    Doctor appointment tomorrow.  I am scared to death of the unknown.  Not telling many people.  I tried to tell someone who should care & got ignored.  Will ignore back,

    Weather stayed in the 80s today.  Hotter is coming soon.  I hate summer.  Will be 100F for me here.

    It is true that we have very few family anymore.  The family who really love me were & are in Denver.  Most are gone now.  I know dozens of local people but none are true friends.  I am rarely included in anything.  So I am lonely a lot.  But I now know how much I am loved.  And it feels damn good,

In. my memories this week,  Taken in 1962.  Sweater was a grassy green.  Hair was strawberry blonde.  Lordy, what a photo!!!

                                                                   

         

                                                                

    What a surprising day I had.  Will start at the end.  Too excited not too!!

    JR & I went for supper at Jalisco's.  They were really busy.  Good to see.  When we were done with our food here came the entire staff with JS carrying a beautiful birthday cake for me.  The candles were lit.  They all sang to me in Spanish.  And as usual JS had a spoon with whipped cream on it for my face!!!  A Mexican custom but usually it is your face in the cake!!!  I was so surprised.  JS is really sweet and so were all the guys!!  JR & I had each a piece of cake.  I cut pieces for each of the staff.  And for JR when I took him home.  I was so surprised.  And deeply touched!!

    The rest of my day was good also.  Started with lunch at Jalisco's with my grandson & a friend from Wichita.  Had a good visit.  Must do that more often.

    I tried to take a short nap when at home but Nico & Cinder just would not let that happen.

    Then Nico went to the vet to get his nails trimmed.  It took them forever to get to us.  No idea what the problem was.  Oh well.

    Then back to Jalisco's.  Great way to end the day!!

07 november, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Had a good day.  More sleep last night.  Less coughing & less pain.  But right before supper & had a dreadful coughing spell.  I about retched.  Had a tickle in my throat that would not quit.  Got better & ate supper with no problems.

    Nice weather with some winds.  Slim chance for rain tomorrow.  Sure it will miss us here.  Snow in the northern states.  Jealous!

    I had time for a short nap.  Needed it.  So did Nico!  He thinks!

    Nico had an appointment at the vet hospital to get his nails trimmed.  Many weeks overdue thanks to me having Covid.  Could not be helped.  I saw he has lost 3 pounds.  Yay!!!  NO catfood & very little people food.  Makes me feel good.

    Nico was better than usual in the car.  We need to drive around more often.  His vet app't was for 4pm.  I had groceries I set for 5pm.

    I try to shop local but I am really sick of ordering groceries & not getting what I order.  One particular thing I rarely get that I like & want.  If it is popular, order more!!!  Duh!  So I ordered from Dillon's.  Right away it told me one thing I wanted they were out of.  Very nice to know.  I was way early because the vet did not take long.  I thought I would just sit & wait at Dillon's.  But one of the delivery guys was close to my car & I asked if I could call in early.  He took my name & went to get my stuff.  Very nice of him.  Most likely go back more often.  And they have cake they sell 2 slices at a time.  I missed it.  Tastes so good.

    Nico had to get into stuff & found a package of his treats.  It was already open so he got his own treat.  No doubt he will hide the others unless I get up & take it away.  He should be tired.

    Voting day tomorrow & a trip to a bank for a bank check.  Paid taxes & I know I had enough money but by the time they decided to cash it, I did not.  Hence, a bank check is needed.  What fun!!

    Photos today are of art work.  I have a friend who posts lots of art photos.  I selected some I personally like to share.  Need to do that more often.  Also took a shot of how many people looked at my blog & where they are from.
