6/2026 - Wednesday the 3rd - MY JOURNEY

 

I have discovered having an egg on rice at Jalisco's.  Excellent!!!

Today's Name Day:  Ingemar , Gudmar

I had a couple of Swedish relatives named Ingmar.  Special cousins.  Glad I got to meet them.

    Today was a good day.  I slept pretty good,.  Pain not too bad except my hands & wrists.  Really bad.  And today at work I banged my bad knee on either my chair or desk. Thought I would faint.  But I walked to my car ok,  Whew.

    LL was not at work .  Doing some paper work for her mother about moving here.  Tiring work,

    Figured out something new on the scanner.  I am trainable!!

    The swimming pool is open.  I got a few photos of kids on the slide.  And for some reason many of the kids come to the Old Mill for snacks.  Candy & soda.  No idea why.  But it keeps us busy!!!  And has happened for years.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  Had not seen AR for a while.  I was scared he was upset with me.  But today he came to see me with smiles & a hug,  All is good

    I forgot to put any drinks in my frige to get cold.  JR ran into Dollar General for some diet soda for me. Good.

    I had ordered a new Remarkable 2 & it came today.  I use mine all the time.  This one is tiny.  Love it!!  It synched with what is on my original one.   Nothing awful. Still have my old one so I can copy from it if needed.

    Photos are many I have taken.  Great  clouds today.  I found some new flowers but they did not make it here.  Tomorrow they will be here.

    Rain in the area,  Got really humid after lunch,  Hate it.

Perfect photo of Nico & Cinder.  Probably looks better in color.  I should have it framed.  Nice memory.

Today's Name Day:  Ebba,  Ebbe

I have known a couple of Ebbas locally.

    Had a great day!!  First day out of the house in 7 days.  Freedom!!!  All photos today are taken in B&W.  Just my mood.  May do it again!!

    Slept ok with the help of medication.  Nice.

    Lunch was with LL at the White Peacock.  I had biscuits & gravy with a DC --- Diet Coke.  Good food & good conversation.  Also saw MH & had a nice visit.

    Work was a total mess.  If I had possession of a shot gun, my scanner would be dead out in a field somewhere.  That dang thing.  It never worked good for a moment today.  I could maybe scan a couple of photos then it would scan a black or blue image.  I would reboot & start again.  I was not relaxed.  Worked with gritted teeth!!  But we did manage to have some laughs.  Good.

    Then JR & I went for supper & Jalisco's.  AJTR had my booth saved for some people can just show caring easier. Make me feel good. And even shook my hand in welcome.  I ordered carnitas that were so good but my stomach acted up.  I gave up.  Had ice cream for dessert.  It was soothing.

    We were in a tornado watch that ended up as nothing.  When I went home the clouds sort of gathered together & there was lightning.  All in Lindsborg.  At home there was only strong winds.  Winds blew all day.  Ruined my hair!!!

    I was really tired when I got home.  Laid down for a short nap.  Then I tackled my Spanish lesson.  Sort of easy today.

    Now blogging with Cinder trying to lay on me. Settling for laying next to me.

    All photos are local.  Will explain them all.  Had fun using my iPhone.  Downloaded a phone app I am liking.  Lots of options.

My bullls have gained quite a few calves in their pasture.  Nice to see.

My work at the Mill for the day.  The tiniest of photos of school kids.  First one I saw today was of my daughter.  Must have been around first grade.  Old photos of when life was "normal" always hurt.  Nothing normal now.  Kids hate me since I was stupid & they counted on.  And refuse to let me have contact with son's 2 kids.

Jalisco's TV.  AJTR has baseball on it.  Not any US teams.  My least favorite sport.
