10/2024 Måndag the 07th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

National Propane Day

This day is special to me.  I heat my house with propane.  A big truck delivers it to me.  They keep track so I do not run out.  Not cheap.  We have a tank in our back yard.

Today's Name Day: Birgitta, Britta

    Had a pretty nice day.  Slept so-so.  Got pretty cold last night ----- 40s.  House was freezing when I got up.  Turned the heat on.  AC on in the afternoon.  Heat comes back on soon.  Today was around 80.  Felt nice outside.

    Met a friend for a late afternoon tea.  Not seen each other for far too long.  He is from another Kansas Swedish town.  Lots in common.  He is doing some research on Swedish missionaries.  I learned a lot.  Found it interesting.  Learned lots I never knew about some local churches.  We promise to do this more often.

    We met at the White Peacock.  One of my favorite places.  Cool decorating.  Nice atmosphere.  Good food & drinks.  Today I had Peach Green Tea iced.  Yummy.  Had a little left over so I brought it home & added ice & a little water.  Perfect.

    The White Peacock used to be a den of torture.  When I was a child it was a dentist office.  He was an awful person.  And really awful to kids.  He threatened to get my dad one time.  Dad worked across the street.  Dad would be worse than the dentist.  😱

    I finally remembered to go to the bank to get some cash.  I was going to on sunday but ALL parking spots were taken could not get to the ATM.  No problem today.

    60 minutes had a special tonight on monday instead of sunday.  Supposed to be about those running for our president.  Two refused to attend.  Big idiot babies!!  Too scared.

    Cinder seems more relaxed today.  And the last two nites she has slept part time in one of her hiding places.  I was scared she was going to ask to go out.  I would be in such a panic.  It is safer.

20 march, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Slept fair.  Just Nico wanting to go out just as I get comfy.  But still feel good.  He is an expert.  Cinder stayed close.

    I had a chiropractic app't but we got out times mixed up so I go back tomorrow.  No big deal!

    Met my friend LL at the White Peacock for tea & conversation.  Sooo nice!!  She is fun & we think like & work together.  I am enjoying having a friend to spend time with.

    It was fairly quiet but busy in the Peacock. Sometimes it is noisy there!!  Perfect today.

    A friend called about a lady that had been in her club and she needed when she died for their records.  She was my husband's aunt.  I was sure I had all the info, but I did not.  And no way to find stuff on Google.  Tried.  I had to use my genealogy software.  There I got what she needed.  And I have new info to add my family notes.  Fun!!!

    I called another friend but he could not talk as he was driving home.  Says he will call me back.  Maybe.  I have nothing important to say.

01 march, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Last night was ok but I got very little sleep.  Used to it.  Cinder & Nico were in my bed all night.  They sure help me to feel better.

    Today was the Old Mill day.  I love being part of it.  Today I felt more part of there than usual.  Someone went for drinks & included me.  Someone else created some cool videos & shared them with me.  And then put them on our website tonight.  Very cool.

    I have been working on photos from when the mill was restored.  Scanning mostly photos with people in them.  But no one knew who the guys were who are in the photos working.  Today I shared 2 photos on 3 different groups asking for help.  And people came through.  We now know most of their names.  There was one man & I was sure I knew who he was but could not remember his names.  But someone knew!!  Great!!  I finished all the photos in that book.  Now what next week?  Back to schools or something else!

    JR & I had supper at Jalisco's tonight.  I ate only a little.  They were busy with lots of take out meals.  Very good.

    Nico was not normal last night.  I am so worried about him.  Today he is more normal.  He is causing me lots of stress.  I usually don't mention it on FB or anywhere else.  I am sure no one wants to hear.  His hind leg still bothers him.

    When I got home from work Cinder was curled up in the sun.  She barely looked at me.  Nico & I stayed out for a while.  She finally joined us.  She was racing around! And is still out.

30 august, 2022 Wandering

    I had a great day!  Slept good & a short nap.  Weather was super humid early today.  Better now.  Our temps were 67F & 88F.  No rain near.  Maybe rain in the next couple of days.  And weatherwise, summer ends tomorrow! Yay!!

    I met a good friend, TN, at the White Peacock.  He needed some advice about my FB group Lindsborg Now.  I had tea & we had good conversation.  Must do this more often.  I have asked the spirits/angels for a friend.  I hope he is it.  Still want a lady friend for girly talk, etc.  It was a fun afternoon that we will repeat.

    We did talk about a mutual friend who now refuses to have anything to do with me.  I was scared to tell him as I feel totally guilty.  He made me feel good & to quit with the guilt.  I cannot say anymore but I have his support.  Very nice.  I have learned that explaining, apologising, & more does not matter to some people.  So I feel OK with how things ended.  Sad but I was where I do not belong.  Never did.  Never will.

    I wanted to take home supper. Where we were closes at 6pm.  I asked around 530pm for a sandwich.  They refused as the kitchen closes at 5pm.  Wish there was a sign saying that.  And I am sure that putting some ham, mayo & bread together would have made them close super late.  I was not pleased.  At all.  Next time order early.  Grrrrr.

    Cinder came home around 330pm.  And still here now.  Good.  And no black cat.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 364....

A very good day. Cancelled therapy. Had family coming from out of state. Not sure of the time they would arrive. Helped me not be stressed.

JR and I met our cousin, his wife, and her son. So wonderful to see them. We met at the White Peacock. We sat on the patio. Peaceful. While we visited, we watched birds and squirrels. They are on the way to Florida to their new home. On a beach. Heaven for sure!

JR and I ate at Jalisco's. They were busy with dine in meals and take out meals. Good to see!

I was texting with JS who was a cook tonight. He needed a favor. I ran a short errand for him after I ate. I even got a hug!

Weather was calm and warm. Nice out.

I wonder what occurred in my driveway yesterday. Somebody was hot rodding in my drive and doing circles. Interesting.

Always be kind to others.
