Day before Midsommarsdag

Today's Name Day:  Germund , Görel

    Today started out good.  I slept good.  Fed Daisy & she let me hold her a couple of times & she purred.

    All my boxes were a total mess outside.  And on the porch.  I swept  cleaned it all up. Assuming it was done overnite.  Wrong.  Got it all cleaned up & looked out later & it all was a mess again.  I called KN.  He will clean it up later today.  What is coming during the day to destroy my pile of boxes??

    I tried to take a short nap but I had a major anxiety attack.  Got up to get dressed to go to the Stuga tonight for my class reunion.

    KN never made it here.  Huge severe storm moved in.  Had 60mph winds, heavy rain, electricity flickering off & on.  The thunder was unreal!!!  Super loud.  One major strike hit near my house out in the pasture.  I think we all jumped in here!!  And probably Daisy also!!  One trash bin lid blew open.  It can stay.  I am not going out through my pile of boxes.  Hope KN makes it here in the morning.

    I am feeling sorry for myself missing being with my classmates at the Stuga.  With my luck if I went my drive would be covered in water when I got home.  I do not trust it.  And I still have a huge anxiety attack.  Plus none of those classmates even consider me part of them anymore.  So who cares.  I wrote to one to explain why I am not there.  He did not read or answer.

    Our high today was 85F but now it is 64F.  Glad it is calm out now.

    Watching FIFA match of Brazil.  Have a good friend in Brazil.  They are ahead now.

Two dear & sweet friends I miss more than words can say.  Artist John Bergers & Virginia Brunsell.  Mom was friends with her when I was a little girl.  I remember being in her house.  And her daughter.  I was friends with her when I was an adult.  When my grandma died in Denver, Virginia's husband worked for the funeral home & they brought her body back to town.  Lots of connections.

                                                                              

              

01/2026 - Jueves the 01st - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day;  Arlen

An old Swedish name day list shows no name today but the app I have showed Arlen.  The name of our hired man before, during & after harvest.  Miss seeing him.  His son worked for us for many years also.  Life changes.  Good for some but not all.

    Had an ok day.  No plans. Was asked out for supper but my nephew & niece came over for a bit.  Worked at fighting depression.

    Today is the anniversary of my best friend John's death.  Think of him so often.  He is buried near Willie & Darren.  Always remember them when near the cemetery.

    I fell asleep on the sofa.  A good nap.  The kids were missing.  No idea where.  But when I got up they both showed up.

    Nice to see family for a short time today.  I had something for them & they were out checking cattle.

    Tired of family photos, etc.  I can only dream.

    JR said there were like 19 motorcycles at the Stuga today.  That happens often.  Marquette KS has a motorcycle museum.  There was a large group like that that parked near the Stuga one day.  And to my surprise they all came into the TrainsWhite Peacock.  But there were no tables in the front room.  I got brave & got the attention of one & told him the next room had a huge table for them to sit at.  They stayed quite a while.

    And JR also said the "for sale" sign is gone from the old Train Brothers building & there is stuff inside.  Wonder what is going on in there.  It will always be Train's to us.  Family business.  Furniture on the front lower floor, wagon repair in the back of the main floor, & radio repair.  Second floor was a funeral business.

    Sitting outside I saw another cat.  That is 2 cats running around the yard.  They both look healthy.  I cannot afford another cat!!  Be fun though.  Love cats.
